Story
Lori is a very loving and affectionate 2 years old mutt, who belonged to a young woman who could not keep her as she moved into the dorms. Lori is super sweet, and lived with dogs, and children, and got along famously with all. She has never met a stranger. In her daycare, Lori is known as the shining star. Everyone loves her and she plays well with both small breed and large breed pups. She absolutely loves it and so do they. Lori enjoys being petted, and is very obedient. She will not hesitate giving kisses and has a lot of love to share with her forever family. Lori's best friend at foster home, also named Lori, and the two of them are inseparable and play all the time. Lori is great with everyone, humans and animals. She should go to a home with a second young dog, or must have active parents. If you are to looking to add a friendly dog to your family, Lori is the perfect member. Lori is currently being fostered in Houston, and can travel to anywhere in the States or even Canada to the right home. Yards must be fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept invisible or underground fences. Lori's adoption fee of $400 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, GPS tracker, Harness, leash and a high quality nylon Martingale collar. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application form via www.savesomesouls.com Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
How stinkin’ cute is this baby?! Meet Moo Deng — yes, named after the famous little pygmy hippopotamus, and honestly… the name fits her perfectly.  This squatty little girl is packed full of personality and charm. Moo Deng was found as a stray, but it’s obvious someone cared for her at some point. She’s a thick queen with beautiful skin, she’s heartworm negative, and she absolutely adores everyone she meets. During our shelter pull she met what felt like every dog there and did amazing with all of them! Moo Deng may be short and low to the ground, but don’t let that fool you — she’s got some muscle on her too! She's about 60lbs of love and 3-4 years old. Her dream life? Being your professional couch potato, curled up beside you for movie nights and snacks. She’s the kind of dog that keeps you laughing without even trying. Right now Moo Deng is in boarding recovering from a little shelter crud, but she should be ready for a foster home very soon. We would LOVE to get this sweet girl into a home environment where she can relax, decompress, and show off her goofy personality. Please consider applying to foster Moo Deng at www.scoutshonor.org— we promise this little hippo girl will steal your heart. September 4, 2026, 5:26 pm

Story
Coco has lived in two homes. The previous owner had her since she was a puppy. She was a yard dog protecting his business yard but, she is not a vicious dog so she was not great at that job. He failed to get her fixed so a stray dog impregnated her by the time she was 2 years old. She has not had another litter since then. She has been living with us for over a year. I have a Yorkie that's old and has a short patience for Coco. Coco is very loving, she is eager, playful, and an all-around great dog. If it was not due to my injury and Dallas, plus the size of limited space Coco has to play she'd be staying.
