Dominique is an extremely handsome, very social, black, with a touch of white on his chest, male standard poodle born on 3/4/23. He currently weighs about 60 pounds and is a burning, burning hunk of love for sure, so it goes without waying that Dominique loves attention and is ready to bond with his special human. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, received a Proheart 6 shot and is also being kept on flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. His adoption donation is $700.00 plus $165 transport fee If you would like to adopt Dominique the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Fred ( front ) and Ethel .. were surrendered to SI ACC. Fred is about 2 and Ethel is maybe a year ...she acts like a puppy. They pretty much eat,sleep, and, play together. Fred will sometimes grumble when he wants space from my dogs or sometimes from Ethel.. nothing more than noise, though. They are very sweet and loving pups. Ethel will lay on my head or chest and Fred tries to get as close as possible. They are both desperate for love. This pair would make a great addition to any family,but with older children...Fred can be growly at times! they are young, happy, playful and ready to be part of a forever home. Two is always better than one!!!They are app 20 lbs each. AND Yes, poodle type hair. Meet Magnificent Maleena! This super sweet and very active girl is learning all the good things that life has to offer. She knew her life was turning around the moment she arrived at her foster home. This poor little girl spent most of the months of her short life living in a crate in the garage with very little food, water, or attention. She is small for a standard poodle but too big to be a miniature. Her sad life caused her to weigh only 20 lbs when she was rescued. You could count every rib and see most of her bones. The vet says she should be about 40 lbs and is now well on her way to her ideal weight. Maleena loves people. As soon as she knows you are nice she is your buddy. She is also great with other dogs and ok with cats. Maleena's favorite thing to do is to RUN!!! She absolutely loves the fenced in field at her foster home and the other dogs that run out there with her. We think that she would also love structured exercies and that she would be a great companion for an active family who enjoy walking, hiking or running. She would also do better in a home with older children or an all adult home. Maleena is making great progress with her leash manners and loves to ride in the car. She is also housebroken to a doggie door so she might need a little help if you do not have one. Maleena will make a great companion for the right family.
