Story
Meet Kobe, a loving 2 year old Standard Poodle, looking for his forever home. Kobe is bursting with love and friendliness! This curly haired, sweet neutered boy is searching for a new family to love. He's neutered, current on all his vaccinations and has been well-cared for by his previous family, who unfortunately can no longer care for him. Kobe has that wonderful poodle energy and intelligence. He is smart and eager to please. When he is happy (which is always) he shows it with his whole body. Kobe is a sweet boy who needs an experienced owner with a firm, consistent approach to training. We are committed to working with Kobe’s new family to help train him to channel all that enthusiasm. This handsome boy is ready to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to his new home. With the right guidance, this lovable goofball will become an amazing companion. He just needs someone who can match his energy with calm, confident leadership. Be sure to complete an application on line and come say hello to Kobe at our Meet & Greet Saturdays 11:30-1:30. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

Story
Hi, I’m Jazz — a 6-month-old Standard Poodle puppy weighing about 48 pounds, and I’ve got a whole lot of personality to match my size. I’m confident, fun, and friendly, and I jump into life with both paws first. If you’re nearby, I’m probably trying to climb onto you — not because I have no manners, but because I’m so excited to be close to people. I’m good with other dogs and love having playmates. I’m still learning my boundaries, so I can be a bit jumpy, but it all comes from enthusiasm and a happy, social nature. Training will be important for me, and the good news is that I’m smart, eager, and ready to learn. I’m looking for an active, patient home that’s excited about raising a big, joyful puppy into an amazing adult dog. If you want a confident, affectionate, playful companion who will make you laugh every single day, I think we’d make some pretty great music together!  Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
I’m Motown — a 48 pound 6-month-old Standard Poodle puppy with striking black-and-white markings and a heart that’s still learning how brave it can be. I can be a little nervous at first, especially in new situations, but I’m also friendly and curious. I love being around other dogs. Having another dog nearby really helps me build confidence. I look to them for cues, comfort, and encouragement, and I do best when I have a canine friend to show me the ropes. I’m playful and tolerant with other dogs, happy to follow their lead, and eager to learn how to be the best version of myself. I’m still growing, still learning, and still figuring out the world — but I’m doing my best every day. I’d thrive in a home with another dog who can help me feel secure and loved while I continue to gain confidence. If you’re looking for a beautiful, gentle pup who just needs a little reassurance to shine, I’m ready to grow with you!  Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). Story
Meet Caesar! This handsome 2-year-old, 75-pound Doodle was found wandering in the country with no one to claim him. Thankfully, a kind neighbor contacted the shelter after a few days, and Caesar is now ready for his next chapter. When he arrived, his coat was quite matted, but underneath it all was a healthy, happy boy who had clearly known love at some point—he’s already neutered and seems to be house trained. Caesar is friendly, gentle, and eager for attention.  He’ll thrive with a family ready to give him the care, grooming, and affection he deserves.  He’ll thrive with a family ready to give him the care, grooming, and affection he deserves. Caesar has shown some guarding tendencies so it's best if he is in a home without kids or other dogs and with adopters who are willing to give him his space. Story
Hi, I’m Sophia! I’m a 3 year-old Poodle weighing about 60 pounds, and I’m as loving and loyal as they come. I’m already spayed, housebroken, and ready to make myself right at home with my new family. My current owner is moving to Texas and sadly can’t take me along, so I’m hoping to find a new place to call forever. I’m great with kids and other dogs, and I have a sweet, gentle personality with just a touch of goofy energy—sometimes I get so excited I do a little jump! I’m very food motivated, which makes me an eager learner, and I absolutely love curling up in my crate at night for some cozy rest. I’d thrive in a home with a yard where I can stretch my legs, explore, and play before settling in for some cuddles. If you think I might be the perfect new addition to your family, please apply to adopt me at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application from your laptop or computer. Story
We pulled Colby along with his brother and sister from a high kill shelter in GA when they were 10 weeks old. Their mom is a pure bred Black standard Poodle that was allowed to run and she came home pregnant. All three pup look a bit different, so we are sure there were different dads. Colby looks like he has Brittany spaniel in him but that is only a guess He has long wavy hair a scruffy face and seems to be very low shedding. Colby's brother and sister have now gone to their new homes, and he is anxiously waiting for his family! We think that Colby will be close to 60 lbs when grown. He loves people although a bit shy at first and he loves other dogs. He is one happy boy all the time. We're all just crazy about his cuteness! He is now 8 months old and UTD on shots and has been neutered and microchipped Colby is happy, playful and affectionate. He would be a great addition to any family. If you would like to be his forever hero, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, please check you spam folder.
