He’s still timid and shy, so he’s looking for a patient adopter who’s home often and can help him continue building confidence and learning that the world is a safe place. Lombardi LOVES to play ball, enjoys older kids, and surprisingly adores bath time—so grooming will be a breeze! He also plays beautifully with other dogs at Neely’s Pet Oasis in Wesley Chapel and doesn’t seem to mind cats at all. This boy has come so far, and he’s ready for someone to show him what a real family feels like. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. &#226&#156&#168 Blitz’s Beautiful Comeback — Chapter Two &#226&#156&#168   Sweet Blitz has come such a long way — and her story just keeps getting better. When she first arrived, she was heartbreakingly thin, shut down, and afraid of the world. It took endless patience, gentle reassurance, and even sitting in the rain just to earn her trust.   Today, Blitz is truly thriving. She’s gained healthy weight, her coat shines, and she’s learning how good life can be. After being spayed last week, she had a couple of off-days where she wasn’t eating and tried to hide in the bushes, but by Sunday it was like a light switched on — she’s been bouncy, bright, and full of life ever since.   She’s doing great with her potty habits (only one little accident after surgery, and we’ll blame that on the anesthesia). Blitz likes her crate and sleeps through the night peacefully. She enjoys being near you without being clingy — she’s an independent gal who chooses her moments for affection, making them all the sweeter when she comes over for an ear rub or back scratches.   She’s also showing interest in toys (rope toys and bouncy balls are her current faves!) and takes cues from her dog friends beautifully. Because of that, we think she’d do best in a home with another confident pup to help her continue to blossom.   Medium in size and enormous in heart, Blitz has shown us what quiet resilience looks like. She goes back to Pavilion on Thursday morning for her follow-up appointment — and after that, this brave girl will officially be ready for her forever family.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 6, 2025, 9:26 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Mabel!  I’m told I’m a beautiful Standard Poodle girl, but I just know life is good when I’m chilling with my trusted people. I’m one and a half years old and 59 pounds of sweetness! I’m patient, gentle, and very affectionate, especially when I feel safe.  Loud noises like thunder scare me and I’m nervous around men. Favorite Things: Mabel loves the great outdoors, everything from long walks in the neighborhood to just being outside soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. Training & Manners: This sweet girl is a very good listener.  Yes, you can tell her all your troubles but, more importantly, she will listen to your directions and she learns quickly.  She is house-trained when let out regularly and has lovely house manners.  She walks great on a leash, though she does get excited when she sees other dogs but not in an aggressive way, more like, can we please go meet these new friends?! She tolerates a car ride and sleeps soundly in her dog bed at night. Health & Care: Mabel is spayed, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. She’ll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like all dogs.  But this beauty will need regular grooming to look and feel her best! Other Animals: Mabel gets along well with dogs of all sizes. She has generally ignored the dogs in her foster home but likes to win in the attention race!  She hasn’t been tested with cats but her foster mom thinks she would be ok with them.   Children: Mabel is gentle and patient but will do best with older children (8+), as loud noises and sudden movements make her nervous. Ideal Home: This adaptable girl will do fine in a single home or an apartment, townhouse, or condo as long as she has ample opportunity for exercise. She can be left alone in the home for several hours without issues. Overall: If you’re looking for a gentle companion and great walking partner, Mabel might be the one for you.  If you think she might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $575. ##2466075##

Story
***Local adoption only: Marley needs a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking him to a follow-up appointment with PPR's vetting partner. This has already been scheduled, and the cost is covered by his adoption donation.*** Hi, I'm Marley! I'm a 52-lb Poodle and I'm just one year old. My foster calls me "a very sweet and special boy", but all I know is that I'm an adventurous, affectionate, intelligent, energetic, goofy guy who loves run, playing, jumping, and wagging my tail. Like my musician namesake, I have just one question for you: "could you be loved" by me? Will you be my forever family? Favorite Things: Marley loves being outside, whether going on walks or exploring the back yard! His perfect family would be an active one that can take him on long walks, or even on runs. If you want to live a healthy lifestyle, Marley will make sure you get your steps in! Training & Manners: Marley is a clever dog who has all the makings of a gentleman.  He walks well on a leash, loves car rides, and has shown success with his housetraining. He will need a dog-savvy family that can handle his high energy and keep working on his basic training. He doesn’t understand his own size and needs work on boundaries. He is also a digger outside. He’s just so curious, and it sometimes gets the best of him. Health & Care: Marley is a healthy boy! He is heartworm negative and up-to-date on vaccinations. He needs adopters in the central Florida region who will commit to taking him to his neuter: this appointment has already been made and the cost is covered in his adoption donation. He will just need monthly flea and heart preventatives, like any dog. As a Poodle, he will need regular brushing plus professional grooming about every 6-8 weeks.  Other Animals: This playful pooch gets along well with other large, good-natured dogs who can be patient as Marley learns how to have fun. Small dogs would not be suitable due to Marley's size and energy.  Marley can be a bit too much for cats, so a feline-free home would be necessary.  Children: Marley is an active guy who likes to run and jump, so he'd do best in a home with active, sturdy teenagers only. Ideal Home: Marley would do well in an apartment, condo, or single family home: anywhere there's a family that can love him, take care of him and give him plenty of exercise. Overall: Marley will make a wonderful, loving, loyal companion for a family who can train him, raise him, and love him forever.  Do you look at Marley and think, "Is this love"? Then visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $500. ##2587422##
