Story
Diva is a bit nervous, getting slowly used to what is outside of the home!  In her previous home she never went outside, just on a wee wee pad...  how sad, but now she is slowly coming around and little by little getting better. She is a true lap dog, sofa snuggler and would love someone who is home during the day... very loving and maybe just one easy going dog in the home, or honestly she would love being your one and only.  Preferably no children due to her being a bit nervous...  Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you! ##2762003##

Story
Princess Sasha is looking for a castle of her own. As you know, Princesses can be a little testy from all of their princess duties, but once Sasha feels you are a trustworthy subject, she will fill your life with such riches that only love can bring. Sasha is a 6 yr old poodle, approximately 10lbs, good with calm dogs, but prefer an adult home for this little Princess!  She is in foster in  the Bronx at this time. Story
*Charlie is a courtesy post and is not located at or affiliated with Paws Crossed Animal Rescue A message from Charlie's caregiver - Charlie is 6 years old, neutered, and healthy. We rescued him from a shelter when he was about 6 months old. In the 5+ years we've had him, he's been a good, loyal, energetic, and well-fed boy. However, after we had a baby, circumstances became much more challenging. He's perpetually anxious, jealous, and often possessive/triggered by our toddler/her toys. We want to expand our family, but can't with the on-going stress of not being able to leave Charlie unattended around babies. As much as we love him, we think he would be happier in a more peaceful home without young kids. It's a very sad situation for us because we love him. We want to find him a caring new owner and make sure he's loved. Thanks for reading and please message me if you think you'd be a good match for Charlie, or know someone who is.Please text Irene's cell: 914-374-8732 August 29, 2026, 12:59 pm

Story
Finn is a 3-year-old, 50 lb merle Poodle mix who is every bit as handsome as he is sweet. He was brought to the shelter alongside several other Poodle mixes covered in dirty, severely matted fur. Much of his coat had to be shaved off, but we know those curls will be growing back in no time, and his foster mom is already completely obsessed with this good-looking guy! And Finn’s first night in foster? Literally could not have been easier. He went potty outside, settled into his crate around 11 PM with just one bark, slept quietly through the entire night, and waited until morning to go outside again. No accidents! Now that he’s getting comfortable, his personality is starting to shine. Finn has begun playing with stuffed toys, but his absolute favorite thing is a blanket, he loves carrying one around and holding it in his mouth. He’s a total Velcro dog who just wants to be near his people, happily says hello to everyone he meets on walks, and seems to have a special love for little dogs. Finn has plenty of fun, puppy-like energy and LOVES his walks through Central Park. He even gets the zoomies and looks like he wants to join the runners, so we think he could make an amazing  adventure buddy! After a good 2-3 mile walk, though, he’s perfectly happy to pass out for a couple of hours. He’s also one smart (and hilariously particular) boy. He can somehow find a pill hidden in just about anything, and when dinner is served, he’ll meticulously pick out the good stuff and leave individual pieces of kibble behind.  His foster mom describes him best: “He’s an absolute gentle giant, and if it were the right time for me to adopt, I would pick Finn in a heartbeat, and I’m picky, so that says a lot!” Finn has already shown us what an incredibly loving, easygoing and special dog he is. Now this handsome boy just needs the forever home that gets to call him theirs. He is great with dogs, had interacted fine in his cat test at the shelter (wanted to play and nudge and sometimes lost interest) and was vetted and neutred at the shelter.  ##2812769##

Story
Reese is a 6-7 year old Poodle mix and a textbook lap dog, she just happens to weigh 62 pounds! If there’s a lap available, she’ll happily climb into it, and if there’s even the tiniest bit of space next to you, she’ll find a way to squeeze herself in. Reese came to us with several other Poodle mixes in desperate need of grooming, and years of matting meant most of her coat had to go. Her curls are already starting their comeback, but Reese’s best feature is easily her personality. She is gentle, affectionate, social and completely devoted to her people. A good cuddle can be even more rewarding to her than a treat, and wherever her people are, Reese would like to be there too. She has moderate energy and loves going for walks, sniffing, exploring and meeting new people. She is curious and friendly with other dogs she encounters and has been calm and friendly around children. Reese appears to be fully house trained and goes outside for all of her bathroom needs. She is generally good on leash, knows “sit” and “hand,” and her playful side is starting to emerge as she discovers toys and simple toss games. Reese is still working on crate training and becoming more comfortable when left alone. Her ideal home is a loving household that wants a true companion to be part of everyday life! She is very eager to be someone’s devoted 62 pound shadow. ##2812773##

Story
Stella is an older dog with the sweetest, most loving personality. She enjoys cuddling, staying warm, being close to people, and feeling included in whatever is happening around her. She truly loves companionship, and everyone who meets her quickly falls in love with her. When she was given to me, I was told that she had been rescued from an abusive home. Because of her past, she requires a gentle, patient home where she will be treated with tenderness and care. She is not aggressive, but she can become nervous around loud noises, larger dogs, or children who pull or handle her roughly. she is loving toward both children and adults and can be around other animals. She responds to her name and lets you know when she needs to go outside. The only reason I am rehoming her is that no one is home often enough to provide the attention and companionship she deserves. Especially now that she is older, I want her to have a warm, loving home where she can receive plenty of care, patience

True to her name, Sugar is an absolute sweetheart—but she’s also packed with personality and a whole lot of fun! If your home is missing a dose of pure joy and energy, this outgoing girl is ready to step right in and complete your family. Sugar is the ultimate social butterfly. If you already have a pup who is looking for a best friend, and a family ready to shower a sweet girl with love, Sugar is ready to bring her sparkle to your home! Is Sugar the missing piece to your puzzle? Story
Meet Leo & Chloe – A Bonded Pair of Sweethearts Leo (7, Shih Tzu/Poodle mix) and his younger sister Chloe (4, Bichon/Poodle mix) are an adorable, loving duo looking for their new forever home together. These two are bonded at the heart and happiest when side by side. They’re wee wee pad trained and currently working on their outdoor potty skills, as well as learning to tone down their excitement barking. With patience and consistency, they’ll thrive in the right home. While they’ve been raised with a baby in the house, their family feels Leo and Chloe would do best in a calmer environment—either with adults or older, respectful children. Since they can be barky at times, an apartment setting may not be the best fit for them. Rehoming these two has been a very difficult decision for their current family, but they know it’s in everyone’s best interest to help Leo and Chloe find the right match. This sweet pair will bring double the love, double the snuggles, and double the joy to the lucky family that welcomes them. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to two best friends who come as the perfect package, Leo & Chloe are waiting for you!
