Meet Braxton, your new best friend. Braxton is a 10 year old, poodle mix who loves sleeping and visits to the park. He is kind, shy, and very low maintenance in terms of needing attention. I adopted Braxton from a dog rescue center almost 2 years ago. Braxton has brought so much laughter to my home. I recently started a new job and am no longer able to take care of Braxton like I want to. I hope to find him a new loving family. Preferably, someone who is retired, works from home, or has a flexible schedule to stay with him. He has seperation anxiety and doesn't like to be alone. Hi, my name is Callie, its so nice to meet you! I spent the first few years of my life in a puppy mill and am loving my new freedom with my foster parents! I really enjoy getting to run around their fenced in yard and playing with my new doggie friends! I do prefer playing with others that are my own size, though (I'm a small gal, around 7 lbs) but have done great with bigger dogs too! I'd prefer to be in a home without small kids, as I'm still getting use to my new life outside the mill. I know my adjustment will take time and would love to find a family who will be patient with me! I love to chew on bones + toys, and I am doing great sleeping in bed through the night (with no accidents, I might add!). I am around 2 years and 10 months old. I'm pretty sure I am a Poodle, don't you just LOVE my curly hair?! You may apply to adopt Callie at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Their adoption fee is $335 and is vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped and spayed/. For Callie, we would recommend a home without small kids, has a secure fence, and another dog in the home. Rags is ready to meet you! Although his name is not a glamorous one, he does come to it. Rags is a senor little guy, believed to be a Poodle Yorkie Terrier mix approximately 9 years old. He loves car rides and playing fetch, which he is a pro at playing the fetch game. Rags likes to bark and turn in happy circles when he is in a playful, happy mood or when asking for food. He likes to keep his distance, he doesn't care for you getting in his personal space, but he will keep you in his sight. If you are not into doggie kisses, no worries, he is not into humans kissing him either and will turn his head the other way if you try. Rags can be a grumpy old boy and will sometimes grumble when being picked up or handled. He can be nippy when things are not going his way. Rags does not like to get dressed, he will grumble and bare his teeth while getting cloth put on him. Rags does coexist with other dogs, but he does not interact with them very much. He is potty trained to go outside to do his business. Rags would do his best in a home without small children due to his age, size and temperament. This sweet 6+ gal found her way to SAAP after her own surrendered her at a shelter due to going to assisted living. She’s about 55 pounds. She had some teeth removed and it was discovered she has a heart condition herself. The heart condition is Dilated Cardiomyopathy. It requires 2x daily medication with her food. She has no problem taking it but it is something she will need for the rest of her life. She has the sweetest temperament and loves to love on you. She walks great on a leash and does well with my resident dogs. I don’t know about cat’s because we don’t have any. She runs about happily and can curl up in the funniest positions. She’s a hoot! I think she would do best with a fenced yard or access to a secured area to be unleashed for her potty breaks (dog park ect). In the months we have had her, she doesn’t potty on our walks. She always goes when we get back to the fenced yard. Please consider giving this girl a home - she will give you endless cuddles, laughs and love:). November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm
