Story
If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please fill out an application at woodscreekrescue.com Charlie is an adorable 8-month-old poodle mix with a playful personality and a love for fetch. This young pup is full of energy and enjoys chasing and retrieving balls, making him a great companion for an active home. As a puppy, Charlie is still learning the ropes and will benefit from continued training and guidance. The good news is that he is eager to learn, responds well to positive reinforcement, and is considered easy to train. Charlie would do best in a home without young children, as he is not comfortable around kids. He thrives with patient adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and plenty of opportunities for play and enrichment. Age: 8 months Breed: Poodle mix Male Good with children: No Favorite activity: Playing ball/fetch Training: Needs continued training but is eager to learn and easy to train

Story
Sadie is a 4 year old lovely lady. She is a 57 pound Ginger colored Standard Poodle. She is a love: beautiful, sweet and a joy to have as a companion. Sadie is house trained, affectionate, playful, moderate energy. She is good in the car, and on leash. She is good with other dogs. She will be best around sturdy small dogs as she can be unaware of their presence. She is off leash recall trained and very good natured. Sadie has not been around children to our knowledge, but we think she would be fine with older, dog savvy kids with great dog manners. Sadie loves being around her people, going for walks, playing in a field or river. She has recently shown interest in toys and likes bully sticks. Sadie is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and will have a dental this week. Her adoption fee is $600. We will meet part way for potential adopters coming from Portland or distances of two hours or greater. Sadie is still recovering from toe pad injuries caused by imbedded toenails in her past. They are healing well and we expect no issues at all going forward. She will need to walk on soft surfaces mostly for now, and we will send any foot coverings that have been helpful in rescue. A great home and must haves for Sadie include: 1. A home with a connected good sized securely fenced yard. 2. Folks not gone long hours and who treat their dogs as family members who can lie on the couch and ideally sleep in the bedroom, and who include them in their fun activities. We are seeking a no crate home for Sadie; she does not need it. 3. Adopters who are rescue dog savvy and who know and can afford the cost of grooming a poodle and who offer good quality nutrition and veterinary care. 4. Active people who will be able to care for Sadie for the rest of her life, which could be well over 11 years. If you are interested in Sadie and you meet all criteria above, we encourage you to apply now! Standard Poodles are rare in rescue and Sadie is a great dog! To apply, complete the following application: https://forms.gle/jLuUPE6mR84HDgDp6 If you prefer to inquire, please email us at awoofovermyhead@gmail.com with "Sadie" in the subject line. Tell us a bit about yourself and how Sadie will fit into your life. Leave a phone number where we can reach you and we will call. If you apply or inquire, please be available and ready to adopt a new family member. We screen and approve applications before a meet. Our process is thorough and quick. You will have an opportunity to hear more about Sadie's story and to ask any questions you might have. Non-cigarette smokers only, please. Thanks!

Story
We have a transport leaving either on July 30th or August 9th 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Gemma to our trip for the right family 😊 There are certain dogs that leave an imprint on your heart from the very beginning, and Gemma has always been one of those dogs. Not because she demanded attention or tried to be the center of every room, but because watching her grow into the dog she is today has been something truly special. When Gemma first arrived in our care, she was still learning that the world could be a kind place. Like so many dogs who experience change, she carried a little uncertainty with her. We never rushed her through it. Instead, we simply loved her, allowed her to move at her own pace, and watched as, little by little, she began discovering who she was always meant to be. Today, that beautiful transformation is impossible to miss. Born on December 28, 2022, Gemma is a petite Aussiedoodle weighing 39 pounds fully grown with a soft, wavy coat that is hypoallergenic and non-shedding. She has blossomed into a confident, affectionate, incredibly intelligent girl who genuinely enjoys being part of everyday life. Whether you’re headed out for a drive, spending time outdoors, or simply relaxing at home after a long day, Gemma is happiest simply sharing those moments with the people she loves. She has wonderful house manners and is completely house trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on leash, rides exceptionally well in the car, and is an absolute pleasure for the groomer. She has a beautifully balanced personality that allows her to enjoy life’s adventures just as much as its quiet moments curled up beside the people she loves. Gemma is wonderful with other dogs, both big and small, and has done beautifully with the children in our family as well. She is sweet, gentle, and naturally attentive to the people around her. She isn’t overly demanding or constantly seeking attention, but rather has a peaceful presence about her that simply makes a house feel more like home. While she has grown tremendously in confidence, Gemma still forms meaningful relationships the way many truly loyal dogs do. She enjoys meeting new people, but she especially cherishes those she gets to know well. Once you’ve earned her trust, you’ve gained a companion whose loyalty runs incredibly deep. She doesn’t just love her family, she wholeheartedly belongs to them. Gemma came to us because someone loved her enough to put her needs ahead of their own. Her previous owner knew she deserved more space, more opportunities, and a life where she could truly flourish. It was an incredibly selfless decision made entirely out of love, and we promised we would find the family she had always hoped Gemma would have. Because of the remarkable dog she has become, we aren’t simply looking for someone wanting an Aussiedoodle. We’re looking for the person who will recognize the quiet beauty of a dog whose greatest joy isn’t being the life of the party, but being someone’s constant companion through every season of life. If you’re searching for a best friend who will greet you each morning with quiet happiness, faithfully stay by your side through life’s highs and lows, and remind you every single day just how special the bond between a dog and their person can be, we have a feeling Gemma has been waiting for you too. Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/gemma-1 This includes her spay, dental cleaning and polish (with no extractions needed), current vaccinations, microchip and registration, a complete veterinary examination, along with the months of love, socialization, training, grooming, and care she has received while preparing for the family she has always deserved.
