Story
We have a transport leaving September 26th 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Dahlia to our trip for the right family 😊 Meet our beautiful Dahlia 🤍 Dahlia is a gorgeous Standard Poodle with the most beautiful coloring, depending on who you ask, you may hear her described as white Merle or Parti colored. Whatever technical name you want to give her coat, there is no denying that this girl is absolutely beautiful. She is also a larger Standard Poodle, weighing in at 60 lbs 💕 Dahlia came to us after her owner was preparing to move out of state and was unable to take her along. Sometimes life changes leave wonderful dogs needing an entirely new chapter through absolutely no fault of their own, and Dahlia has made it very clear since arriving that she is more than ready to settle right back into being someone’s beloved girl. And when I say settle in, I mean Dahlia wasted very little time figuring out how things work around here 😂 She discovered our bed all on her own and has since been caught peacefully napping there, completely stretched out and comfortable as if she had been sleeping there her entire life. Apparently, Dahlia believes that if a bed is available, it should not go to waste! She is crate trained and can absolutely use a crate when needed, but she is so wonderful in the home that she doesn’t need to spend her life in one. Give her a comfortable place to lay, let her be part of the family, and she is perfectly happy. She is fully housetrained and does wonderfully going outside throughout the day. Her house manners have been wonderful, especially considering her size. She knows how to settle, relax, and simply coexist with everyone around her without needing constant entertainment or direction. Dahlia is also good on leash and enjoys getting out and about. She is a big girl, so naturally there is a lot more dog at the end of the leash than there would be with one of our tiny ones, but she listens well and has been wonderful to handle. She is GREAT in the car and travels beautifully, which is something we always appreciate with our dogs. Whether her future consists of trips around town, visits with family, vacations, or simply tagging along for everyday errands, Dahlia is more than happy to hop in and go along for the ride. She is also wonderful at the groomers, another pretty important quality when you are talking about a Standard Poodle! She handles the grooming process beautifully and has been an absolute pleasure for them. Her future family will need to be committed to maintaining her coat with regular professional grooming, but thankfully Dahlia makes that part pretty easy. One of the things we love most about her is how naturally social she is. Dahlia is great with everyone she meets. She isn’t a girl who wants to hide away from the world or needs convincing that new people can be friends. She has a wonderful temperament and genuinely enjoys people, affection, and being included in whatever is happening around her. She has that combination that can be so hard to find in a larger dog, she is substantial enough to feel like a true big companion, yet she knows how to live comfortably inside a home. She can go for a ride, walk nicely on leash, behave for her groomer, meet new people happily, and then come home and promptly locate the most comfortable sleeping spot available. 😂🤍 Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/dahlia-1 Her adoption fee helps cover the veterinary care and everything that goes into preparing her for adoption which includes her spay, dental cleaning and polish, yearly vaccines, microchip & registration, and her exam with our vet which went perfect 💕 Dahlia isn’t looking for anything complicated. She needs someone who wants a beautiful, loyal Standard Poodle sharing their home, their adventures, their everyday life, and, judging by what we have learned about her so far, quite possibly their bed too. 😂🤍 She lost the home she knew because life changed around her. Now we get the privilege of finding the home that won’t just be her next stop, but the place where she gets to unpack her heart, get comfortable, and know that she is finally home for good. 🤍

Story
Hi, I'm Mia, a beautiful, loving, sweet and graceful Standard Poodle seeking my forever home with loving people. I love to be active and to take a good snooze, too! I am located in Linn County, OR, about an hour from Corvallis, Sisters, Eugene, Salem and about 2 hours from Portland and Newport. My rescue folks will meet you part way if you come from a distance. I am house trained, ride nicely in the car, love pets and snuggles and am a lovely girl. I seek a calm home and a primary handler who is female, though my guy comfort level has grown fast in rescue and I plan on continuing this trajectory in my forever home. I am spayed, micro-chipped, negative fecal tested, and groomed. A great home for me and my must haves include: 1. An owned home with a good sized 5.5 to 6 foot fenced yard. 2. Folks not gone long hours and a primary woman handler at least initially. 3. Active folks who will treat me as a family member and include me in their activities. 4. A calm home with rescue savvy owners. 5. Folks who know the cost of grooming, good nutrition and vet care and are prepared to spend it. 6. I have 10-14 years of life left and seek to spend it in one home with my forever people. 7. Mia will do well in a home with other dogs and will do fine in a home with a dog savvy cat. If you meet the above criteria and think that this lovely girl may make a great new family member, please inquire or apply. To inquire, email: awoofovermyhead@gmail.com with "Mia" in the subject line. Please tell us a bit about yourself and how Mia will fit into your life. To apply, please complete the following application: https://forms.gle/4EmPakQsjoapv2wV8 Non-cigarette smoking homes only, please. Thanks!

Story
If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please fill out an application at woodscreekrescue.com Charlie is an adorable 8-month-old poodle mix with a playful personality and a love for fetch. This young pup is full of energy and enjoys chasing and retrieving balls, making him a great companion for an active home. As a puppy, Charlie is still learning the ropes and will benefit from continued training and guidance. The good news is that he is eager to learn, responds well to positive reinforcement, and is considered easy to train. Charlie would do best in a home without young children, as he is not comfortable around kids. He thrives with patient adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and plenty of opportunities for play and enrichment. Age: 8 months Breed: Poodle mix Male Good with children: No Favorite activity: Playing ball/fetch Training: Needs continued training but is eager to learn and easy to train

Story
Meet Opal! Opal is a young poodle mix who has come a long way in a very short time! Found as a stray, her first couple of days at the rescue were understandably scary. But Opal quickly realized she was safe, people were kind, and she had nothing to fear. Once she felt comfortable, her sweet personality came shining through and now she is as warm, outgoing, and friendly as they come, although still nervous with our male staff and volunteers. Opal may be cautious when faced with new experiences as she continues to navigate her new life. Her forever family can help her build confidence by offering patience, encouragement, and lots of positive, fun experiences at her own pace. With the right support, we expect this sweet girl will continue to blossom. Opal has done well with the dogs she rooms with at the rescue and would likely enjoy having another playful, friendly dog to share her new home with. Her history with cats and children is unknown, but she may be able to live successfully with either in an otherwise calm household, provided introductions are slow, thoughtful, and well supervised. Opal is ready to leave her stray days behind and discover just how wonderful life with a family can be. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate companion who is eager to trust and connect with her people, Opal may be the perfect little match! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Opal's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Opal would do great in a home with...Cats : Dogs : Yep!  Kiddos :   ##2830673##
