501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA state & Oregon but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal. Soul destroying to think of what he has been through & yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. Tom Haverford along with his 2 other siblings were kept 24/7 in a crate & the breeder here in WA state was not feeding them. She would forget to feed these beautiful souls she said & could not take care of them. 3 of them were kept in a cage at the age of 4 months & when we got them they were so extremely skinny & so matted & stunk so bad & had not been receiving any love nor care & had never ever been to a vet & were consuming their own fecis to stay alive. Yes, you did just read that correctly. We rescued a total of 7 standards from this breeder when she would allow them to leave & instantly got everyone straight to our vets. Our souls were so broken for what Tom Haverford had endured & his siblings. Tom Haverford & his siblings are all available for a loving devoted forever home now they are healthy & so very loved & the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. Tom Haverford is so now a ball of joy, fun & energy & so very spirited. Considering his past life he had to learn what it was to be in a loving foster home & the normal freedom. At first when he arrived he didn’t know what to do & was uncertain after being kept in a cage. He had to learn to walk properly as he did not know how to from being kept in a cage with his 2 siblings. Those days are over for Tom Haverford & now he knows he can go wherever he wants. You can find this boy just sitting there taking it all in as he is so grateful. He will just sit there or lay there & watch what you are doing without a care in the world now. We cannot stress enough how lovely Tom Haverford is & deserves the most loving home. This boy is so stinking sweet inside & out & he has come along way since we rescued him. We posted his story on social media along with his journey & his siblings. The reality is he had to learn everything with us. He is so forgiving. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection once he has built that trust with you. He adores his foster mum & his foster dad & has gotten so much sweeter as every day passes. He will put his paws on the kitchen counter & try to eat what is on the benches & will pull food down if he can. He is also super smart & taught himself to go up & down hardwood stairs to go upstairs & go to bed. In his foster home he eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains & different supplements. He loves his bully sticks & collagen sticks too. He is absolutely obsessed with his food & he will eat with his foster siblings but will want to eat all the food. Considering his past this is not surprising. At first we had to teach him not to eat his fecis as that’s all he knew to survive. We treated him for worms & giradia a few times because of this which was so very sad. Tom Haverford is still learning to walk on harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach her how to go on walks but would still need to be taught. Tom Haverford has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Tom Haverford is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Tom Haverford adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, he loves it all once he knows you. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. In his foster homes he loves beds, blankets & will want to sleep with you if he can. In his foster home she instantly taught herself to walk up hardwood stairs. He is a very smart intelligent lad. He loves laying near his siblings & lets other dogs lay on top of him to snuggle with him. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Tom Haverford & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He is definitely a dog’s dog & loves people too. He does adore his foster dad & going into his office & laying on his bed & enjoying a bully stick in there. Tom Haverford has learnt to ride in the car & does amazing in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an easy & sweet going, loving little lad. With Tom Haverford we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lady only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy, we do not want this again for our sweetheart. We are also looking for a forever home for Tom Haverford where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. This boy adores a good outfit & is now used to wearing clothes. Tom Haverford is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Tom Haverford has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings or his sister who he is fostered with. He is a very playful boy & definitely needs a very playful dog in his new forever home. He will play with any dog that will play with him. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Tom Haverford’s new forever home along with another dog friend if it’s a freestanding dwelling. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. Tom Haverford is now roughly 42.6 lbs & is 19 months & a male standard poodle & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is the smallest out of his siblings. He is neutered by laser & is microchipped, had his shots including DHPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & will only redo the rabies. He had her ears cleaned & meds put into them. Tom is missing a small patch of fur that is growing back in on his bottom from previously living in a cage. He also had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. We have spent far more on Tom Haverford with multiple vet visits between 3 vets, getting him well & his surgeries without anything else than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Tom Haverford has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Tom Haverford with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Tom Haverford was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Tom Haverford’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Tom Haverford potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Tom Haverford & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Tom Haverford who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Tom Haverford has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Meet Arthur! My name is Arthur and I am a young, good-natured, and affectionate mixed-breed dog that weighs 65# and I would love to make your acquaintance.  They say I am very popular with the ladies, but buddies are cool too. I like being outside on sunny days, although I consider myself an indoor dog.  I really just prefer to be where my people are.  I am potty-trained and I sleep on my own bed next to my stepsister.  I’ve recently been neutered and I have had my first set of shots and something called a microchip.  I am happy all of the time and I still feel like a puppy a lot of days. I have a lot of energy that I need to manage, but once I get a little tired out, I can settle down and relax like everybody else.  As I get older, it will start to get easier for me. To help me manage it now, I like to be taken on long walks that give me plenty of time to smell the flowers.  A hike is even better! My leash skills are pretty good, but I’m young and I am still working on them.  I still get distracted a little…bit… …was that a Squirrel?!! I am very athletic and I bet I can keep up with any human!  I like to run and jump, and I have a very graceful trot where I just glide along the ground.   It just comes naturally, I guess.  I like playing in the water when the hose comes out, and I can jump very high to try to bite the stream and then chase it all over.  My stepsister just watches, but I think it’s great fun!  I like shaking my stuffed animal toys (but not too hard my foster says) and playing tug-of-war with old towels. I wish the whole world could be my playground! I have been staying with my foster family for about a month now and we have been getting along great! They have a nice big yard for me to run in, my stepsister gives me somebody to annoy, and they are super nice to me. They give me food!   I just think I’m ready to find my forever home now.  Once I do, I will want to stay with my people always.  I think I would like it if I wasn’t the only dog.  I don’t really like being by myself too much and always prefer company.  When I find that, I will be the happiest dog in the world! I’ve been getting a lot of attention in my current home, some structure, and a familiarity to their schedule.   I am very food motivated and it always seems like I’m hungry.  My stepfamily has been teaching me a lot.  Everybody tells me that I’m super smart! Arthur is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Gomez Addams, a handsome 5-year-old black Standard Poodle (or perhaps a very convincing lookalike!) weighing in at 58 pounds. With his elegant black coat and soulful eyes, Gomez is every bit as charming as his famous namesake. He`s a gentle, sensitive boy who is looking for a patient, understanding family willing to let him settle in at his own pace. New places, fast movements, and sudden noises can be overwhelming for him, and he isn`t comfortable with hands reaching over his head. He may flinch when touched, but underneath his timid exterior is a kind dog who simply wants to feel safe and loved.Gomez Addams will thrive in a calm, predictable home where he can build trust one day at a time. At the shelter, he has shown no aggression toward other dogs, though he hasn`t shown much interest in making canine friends either. Because he is easily startled, Gomez would probably not be the best fit for a busy household or a home with young children. His future family should expect to earn his trust through patience, gentle encouragement, and consistency. The reward will be watching this sweet boy slowly blossom as he discovers what it means to feel secure. If you`re looking for a quiet companion and believe the best relationships are worth waiting for, Gomez Addams may be the perfect addition to your family. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Meet Max Max is a 10-month-old Standard Poodle boy, weighing about 35 lbs, with a striking white coat, long legs, and a bright, intelligent expression that hints at just how special he is. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where his future was uncertain and time was running out. Despite that rough start, Max is resilient, curious, and ready to experience the life every young dog deserves — one filled with learning, love, and adventure. Still very much a puppy, Max is at an age where training, bonding, and exploration are part of everyday life. He’s eager to grow into a confident companion and is looking for a home that will guide him, engage his clever mind, and include him in family life. &#226&#156&#168 Adoption Information Max’s adoption fee is $1,995, a non-refundable donation that helps support lifesaving rescue efforts. It includes: Neuter Vaccinations Microchip Boarding and daily care Health certificate Transport from South Korea to Seattle &#226&#156&#136&#239&#184&#143 A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you may bring your own or purchase one from us. Story
Mellow is a great 2-year-old dog. He will need a lot of attention and needs his daily exercise. He has to be close to people and have lots of room in the yard to run. The only reason for relocation is that my mom is moving in, and she has two small dogs that will not get along with him. He has been trained and will do well with an e-collar if used consistently. He has lots of energy and loves to play. He loves people and is good with kids. Cats may not tolerate him because he keeps bugging them playfully.
