Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PLEASE go to our website www.collarofhope.org to read all information about our puppies, rescue, adoption process and to submit our adoption application.  All of our information does not transfer to the adoption sites. Before completing our adoption application, please consider the following: Is someone home to raise and train a puppy? Do you have a securely fenced yard for the puppy? Can you give a puppy a 15ish year commitment?  Dalton came to us along with several other poodles from a breeder.  All were under a year old and were in awful condition.  They stunk terribly, were matted, overgrown ear and pad fur and were emaciated also.   Dalton was one of the youngest, 16 weeks old then and he was by far the smallest and skinniest.  He will not be close to the size of a standard poodle even though that is his breed.  He is 13 pounds now so he will be between 25-30 pounds grown.  He is engaging, sweet, lovable and will be your best friend!  Our first priority was to get some healthy weight on them, basic vetting and had other testing done to confirm or rule out anything medical causing or because of the thin state.  Everything came back clear.    Their new home needs to be willing and able to continue his training and working with this dog.  They obviously all came way behind the curve of where they should have been at their ages.   If you apply for adoption of this or any poodle, you must provide your groomer reference phone number on the application.  We will be calling them.     Our puppies are or will be neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated age appropriate (they will need additional vaccines), de-wormed and parasite treated/prevented throughout their time with CoH as a foster puppy.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  IF YOU APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF THIS BOY, ADD YOUR GROOMERS PHONE NUMBER ON THE APPLICATION.  Miles is a gorgeous, inky black smaller sized standard poodle.  He is charming, sweet and lovable!  He is off to a great start now, thanks to our volunteers and his foster.  He will need continued work in his new home though.  Make sure you're up for that. This boy came to us with several others from a breeder.  The breeder did not take care of them properly and she had way too many.  The one thing they all had going for them from the beginning is they're sweet and social.  They had no vetting, grooming and all were very underweight due to food deprivation.  Therefore, they are all behind the curve for what they should know at their current ages but all are coming along nicely.   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
Meet Twix! Part of the 'chocolate litter' born on May 28th to sweet mama Chloe, a lovely white Doodle girl. Chloe was abandoned by her owners and came to us just a few days before she had her pups. She is the most delightful girl and a good mom to all of her puppies. Contrary to mom, the pups were born with mostly black fur. Their coat is soft and fluffy, but not curly like Chloe's. We're not sure who the dad was but these puppies sure are gorgeous! The pups are growing well and are being actively socialized by our cadre of volunteers. They will grow up to be excellent family dogs. They will be ready to go home to their new families at around 8 weeks of age and will have received their first vaccination, microchip and dewormer at that time.  Puppies are fun but hard work! They need socialization, training and lots of your attention. They are not able to be home alone for long stretches of time and when they are still very young, are not able to be exposed to their environment until all basic vaccinations have been completed around 16-17 weeks of age. They, pee, poop, chew and make messes all the time and need lots of guidance and understanding when they leave their mom. If you are ready for the challenge, and the reward of having an awesome family member, please apply with us at savinggreatanimals.org Since this litter has 6 puppies, we prefer to schedule meet and greets in the order that applications are received, rather than for one specific puppy. We find that when someone comes to meet one puppy, they often fall in love with another during the meet and greet and then things can get chaotic very quickly if that puppy had an application from someone else.  Meet and greets will be set up in order of application received - for example, the first applicant has first pick of the litter, second applicant has second pick of the litter etc. We will arrange all meet and greets to take place over a period of two days when the pups are around 7 weeks old. Adoption fee is $525 per puppy. This includes their first distemper/parvo vaccination, microchip, dewormer as well as their spay/neuter when they are old enough. We prefer to spay/neuter between 8-12 months of age. This is not optional and part of your adoption contract. Please submit your application to savinggreatanimals.org We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
