Story
Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees. The call was put out for the need from multiple commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the midwest. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. But despite where they lived in a shed & were going to be used to make money off their backs, they were all still very sweet & friendly. But Frasier, he was so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the cage he was caged in 24/7. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued Frasier & 10 other innocent souls who would have spent their lives being breeding machines in cages all to make money off their backs. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Frasier how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as he is in his foster home. Frasier a moyen poodle & his friends & 2 siblings were bought back to the WA state where he is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Frasier is so full of life, love & energy now. At first going into his first foster home he had no clue as to what was going on. But once he realized he had all this space to run around in he had the time of his life. For everything he has been through his foster mum said he is a sweetheart. He would be slow to warm up to a new environment but once he is comfortable & loved he would be so happy. We held onto Frasier because we thought something was just not right & both of his siblings got adopted. One morning they woke up & Frasier was crying out. Nothing had happened at all as he was asleep on the bed. Quickly realized it was his leg. He was taken immediately to the vets where he had x-rays & it was discovered he had an old fracture on his front leg that had been there for who knows how long? So the long process began of countless vet visits with putting him into a splint with countless extremely expensive vet visits for bandage changes. Frasier of course did not enjoy going to the vets & would be so excited to leave there. We found out he was having an allergic reaction to the bandages & was causing him to have a reaction & skin problems & sores & had to have antibiotics. His leg healed & now you would never know this happened to this beautiful soul. Frasier is playful & loves you so deeply. He adores his foster mum & stands on his back legs & hugs her & looks straight into her eyes. He loves his foster mum & prefers her over his foster dad. He is smart, he can put his paws on the counter & his face & eats things off the counter. He can run up & down hardwood stairs when it’s time to go to bed, he will want to sleep with you or in bed with his foster friends. Frasier lets you pick him up & lets you give him kisses & hugs & enjoys it. From the day we got him he was nothing but so sweet, loving & affectionate & would just snuggle into you. The reality is, his foster home is his real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. In his foster home he eats a clean raw diet. He eats raw proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains along with supplements & is thriving on them. He also adores collagen sticks & bully sticks. He is good with his baths & being dried by the hairdryer. He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. He is such a fun boy who just wants to be loved & to make up for his start to life once you have built that repour with him. He would still need work walking on his harness & leash because in his foster home he gets to go outside in a fully fenced backyard but does not enjoy staying out there. He does not discriminate against breeds. He has always been with other dogs & adores other dogs & they make him feel comfortable & confident. Frasier is a wonderful car rider & enjoys going in the car & has gone in the car countless times with his foster family & to & from the vets. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. He spent the first part of his life confined for breeding. Frasier as you can imagine spent such a long time in a caged environment. He loses his mind if he is put into a crate & starts crying to get out. Who could blame him? We are also looking for a forever home for Frasier where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Frasier is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. Frasier has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in his loving foster home & he is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs. He absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for him to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard if it’s a freestanding dwelling. Frasier is roughly 38 lbs & he is almost 2 years old & a ‭Moyen poodle‬. He has put on all his weight since being in his loving foster home. He was treated for an old fracture, countless bandage changes & vet visits. We come to find out he was allergic to the bandages which was also causing problems under his bandage with iteration & a reaction. This poor boy did not enjoy going to this vet’s office & was in distress while there & would get nervous & frightened while there each time. What he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he is neutered by laser, microchipped, had his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & will only redo the rabies. We have spent far more on Frasier with paying for him from a commercial breeder. Bringing him to WA with his travel/flight costs, his transportation to WA. All of his medical care in WA etc & bringing her to WA than his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even cover one eighth of what we have spent on Frasier. Frasier has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have have not had him around small children in his current loving foster home. But it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. So we do not recommend children. We were not there when Frasier was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Frasier’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Frasier potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Frasier & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Frasier who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Frasier has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Soul destroying to think of what he has been through & yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. Tom Haverford along with his 2 other siblings were kept 24/7 in a crate & the breeder here in WA state was not feeding them. She would forget to feed these beautiful souls she said & could not take care of them. 3 of them were kept in a cage at the age of 4 months & when we got them they were so extremely skinny & so matted & stunk so bad & had not been receiving any love nor care & had never ever been to a vet & were consuming their own fecis to stay alive. Yes, you did just read that correctly. We rescued a total of 7 standards from this breeder when she would allow them to leave & instantly got everyone straight to our vets. Our souls were so broken for what Tom Haverford had endured & his siblings. Tom Haverford & his siblings are all available for a loving devoted forever home now they are healthy & so very loved & the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. Tom Haverford is so now a ball of joy, fun & energy & so very spirited. Considering his past life he had to learn what it was to be in a loving foster home & the normal freedom. At first when he arrived he didn’t know what to do & was uncertain after being kept in a cage. He had to learn to walk properly as he did not know how to from being kept in a cage with his 2 siblings. Those days are over for Tom Haverford & now he knows he can go wherever he wants. You can find this boy just sitting there taking it all in as he is so grateful. He will just sit there or lay there & watch what you are doing without a care in the world now. We cannot stress enough how lovely Tom Haverford is & deserves the most loving home. This boy is so stinking sweet inside & out & he has come along way since we rescued him. We posted his story on social media along with his journey & his siblings. The reality is he had to learn everything with us. He is so forgiving. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection once he has built that trust with you. He adores his foster mum & his foster dad & has gotten so much sweeter as every day passes. He will put his paws on the kitchen counter & try to eat what is on the benches & will pull food down if he can. He is also super smart & taught himself to go up & down hardwood stairs to go upstairs & go to bed. In his foster home he eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains & different supplements. He loves his bully sticks & collagen sticks too. He is absolutely obsessed with his food & he will eat with his foster siblings but will want to eat all the food. Considering his past this is not surprising. At first we had to teach him not to eat his fecis as that’s all he knew to survive. We treated him for worms & giradia a few times because of this which was so very sad. Tom Haverford is still learning to walk on harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach her how to go on walks but would still need to be taught. Tom Haverford has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Tom Haverford is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Tom Haverford adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, he loves it all once he knows you. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. In his foster homes he loves beds, blankets & will want to sleep with you if he can. In his foster home she instantly taught herself to walk up hardwood stairs. He is a very smart intelligent lad. He loves laying near his siblings & lets other dogs lay on top of him to snuggle with him. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Tom Haverford & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He is definitely a dog’s dog & loves people too. He does adore his foster dad & going into his office & laying on his bed & enjoying a bully stick in there. Tom Haverford has learnt to ride in the car & does amazing in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an easy & sweet going, loving little lad. With Tom Haverford we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lady only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy, we do not want this again for our sweetheart. We are also looking for a forever home for Tom Haverford where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. This boy adores a good outfit & is now used to wearing clothes. Tom Haverford is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Tom Haverford has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings or his sister who he is fostered with. He is a very playful boy & definitely needs a very playful dog in his new forever home. He will play with any dog that will play with him. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Tom Haverford’s new forever home along with another dog friend if it’s a freestanding dwelling. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. Tom Haverford is now roughly 42.6 lbs & is 19 months & a male standard poodle & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is the smallest out of his siblings. He is neutered by laser & is microchipped, had his shots including DHPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we do not redo them as we do not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & will only redo the rabies. He had her ears cleaned & meds put into them. Tom is missing a small patch of fur that is growing back in on his bottom from previously living in a cage. He also had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. We have spent far more on Tom Haverford with multiple vet visits between 3 vets, getting him well & his surgeries without anything else than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Tom Haverford has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Tom Haverford with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Tom Haverford was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Tom Haverford’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Tom Haverford potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Tom Haverford & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Tom Haverford who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Tom Haverford has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Meet Max Max is a 10-month-old Standard Poodle boy, weighing about 35 lbs, with a striking white coat, long legs, and a bright, intelligent expression that hints at just how special he is. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where his future was uncertain and time was running out. Despite that rough start, Max is resilient, curious, and ready to experience the life every young dog deserves — one filled with learning, love, and adventure. Still very much a puppy, Max is at an age where training, bonding, and exploration are part of everyday life. He’s eager to grow into a confident companion and is looking for a home that will guide him, engage his clever mind, and include him in family life. &#226&#156&#168 Adoption Information Max’s adoption fee is $1,995, a non-refundable donation that helps support lifesaving rescue efforts. It includes: Neuter Vaccinations Microchip Boarding and daily care Health certificate Transport from South Korea to Seattle &#226&#156&#136&#239&#184&#143 A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you may bring your own or purchase one from us. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. Soul destroying to think of what he has been through & yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. We cannot even begin to imagine what Sun witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. How Sun ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Sun & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Sun out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Sun & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Another soul destroying story about a sweet innocent soul & to think of what she has been through & yet she still loves human beings even after everything they have done to her. We cannot even begin to imagine what Sofia witnessed & heard when she was at the slaughterhouse, how Sofia ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? She actually was there pregnant about to give birth to her babies & they were still going to slaughter her & her unborn babies. What we do know is, she was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. It’s absolutely soul destroying to think about the horrific situation she ended up in. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Sofia & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Sofia out, her fate was a torturous death. As it was when Sofia arrived we discovered she had a bite missing from her ear that had healed. She transferred Sofia along with many other sweet souls she got well & they waited to come to the US. This is a very extremely expensive situation but we believe every sweet soul such as Sofia & her & friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Sofia is looking for a special family to cherish her & be patient with her & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all her needs. Sofia was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Sofia is the most beautiful soul you will ever meet. She just wants to be loved & is so easy going considering her part life but had to learn what it was like to be in a loving foster home & the normal freedom. At first when she arrived she didn’t know what to do & was very uncertain & shy. Those days are over for Sofia & now she knows she can go wherever she wants. You can find this girl just sitting there taking it all in as she is so grateful. She will just sit there or lay there & watch what you are doing without a care in the world now. We cannot stress enough how lovely Sofia is & deserves the most loving home. This girl is so stunning inside & out & she has come along way since she arrived from China. The reality is she had to learn everything new here. She is so forgiving. She just wants you to love her & she will love you back. She adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love & affection. She is used to being groomed, baths all of it & is used to it. She adores her foster mum & dad now as they have shown her normalcy & love. When it’s time to eat Sofia gets so excited & will let you know she wants to eat & will stand on her back legs dancing around. In her foster home she eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains & different supplements. She is absolutely obsessed with her food now & put on a good amount of weight. She also loves bully sticks & collagen sticks. Sofia is still learning to walk on harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach her how to go on walks but would still need to be taught. Sofia is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Sofia adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing her, cleaning her eyes, grooming her, she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Sofia & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. She is quite a free spirit because she does enjoy going off & doing her own thing or then sometimes she can be found laying at her foster mums feet in the kitchen while she is in there. She will also lay with one of her foster siblings that is a big dog & really enjoys his company. Sofia has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such an easy & sweet going, loving little lady. With Sofia we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lady only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl. We are also looking for a forever home for Sofia where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly he can go with them. Did we mention this girl loves a good outfit too. Sofia is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be very patient with her & understanding. Sofia has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. She can be found at times snuggled up to her foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Sofia new forever home along with another dog friend. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. Sofia is now roughly 12 lbs & is 4 years old & a female miniture poodle & what she is mixed with we are not sure? She is spayed & microchipped, she had her shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. We do not over vaccinate dogs & once they expire we only redo the rabies. Sofia has a patch missing on each side of her bottom from living in a cage but is growing back in beautifully & a small patch on her shoulder from grooming. We have spent far more on Sofia with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare costs, $1000 alone, bringing her into Seattle, without anything else than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Sofia has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Sofia with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Sofia was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Sofia’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Sofia potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Sofia & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. We will only be accepting applications for Sofia who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Sofia has an adoption fee of $855 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
