Mitzi is a sensitive dog who would do best in a low traffic household where she can learn to trust. Because of this we are recommending a quite teen/adult only home where she can thrive. Her history with other animals is unknown and will need a slow proper introduction. Mitzi weighs 35 pounds. *Mitzi will be spayed prior to going home

Story
Whoever brings Lucky home is truly lucky! This adorable and big scruffy guy is excited to find his new family - and he's hoping it's with you! At 8-months-old, Lucky is still very much a puppy and is looking for a home that can keep up with his spunk. He's ready for his days to be filled with playing, running, going for walks, and then crashing on the sofa to rest and recharge so he can do it all over again! Lucky is a bit shy and nervous in new situations and with new people and is looking for experienced adopters who can help build his confidence through positive reinforcement and experiences. Lucky does well with cats, but we don't know how he is with other dogs. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. Lucky will likely do well with dog-experienced, teens who can let him settle in at his own pace. Due to his size and energy levels, Lucky may not be a fit for an apartment or condo and would love a fenced yard. If you're ready to welcome home this spectacular scruff, make an adoption appointment to meet him today! #playful #activelifestyle #catcompatible

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Sloane came to us along with several other poodles from a breeder.  All were under a year old and were in awful condition.  They stunk terribly, were matted, overgrown ear and pad fur and were emacited also.   Sloane acclimated the fastest to grooming, crate training etc.  She is engaging, sweet, lovable and will be your best friend!  Our first priority was to get some healthy weight on them, basic vetting and had other testing done to confirm or rule out anything medical causing the thin state and frequent pottying.  Everything came back clear.    When they first arrived and were frolicking in the yard, they resembled newborn colts who were still finding their legs (due to muscle atrophy).  They absolutely loved it!  Over time, they gained weight, muscle and began to run like a teenage poodle should.   Their new home needs to be willing and able to continue training and working with this dog.  They obviously all came way behind the curve of where they should have been at their ages.   If you apply for adoption of this or any poodle, you must provide your groomer reference phone number on the application.  We will be calling them.  Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 15, 2024, 9:37 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PLEASE go to our website www.collarofhope.org to read all information about our puppies, rescue, adoption process and to submit our adoption application.  All of our information does not transfer to the adoption sites. Before completing our adoption application, please consider the following: Is someone home to raise and train a puppy? Do you have a securely fenced yard for the puppy? Can you give a puppy a 15ish year commitment? IF YOU APPLY FOR ADOPTION OF THIS DOG, ADD YOUR GROOMERS PHONE NUMBER ON THE APPLICATION.  Venus came to us along with several other poodles from a breeder.  All were under a year old and were in awful condition.  They stunk terribly, were matted, overgrown ear and pad fur and were emaciated also.   Venus was one of the youngest as an older puppy.  She is now engaging, sweet, lovable and will be your best friend!  Our first priority was to get some healthy weight on them, basic vetting and had other testing done to confirm or rule out anything medical causing the thin state.  Everything came back clear.    Their new home needs to be willing and able to do the training and working with this dog.  They obviously all came way behind the curve of where they should have been at their ages.   If you apply for adoption of this or any poodle, you must provide your groomer reference phone number on the application.  We will be calling them.      Our puppies are or will be neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated age appropriate (they will need additional vaccines), de-wormed and parasite treated/prevented throughout their time with CoH as a foster puppy.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 15, 2024, 9:37 am
