Weighing in at 51 lbs, Neela is the ideal size for cuddles and companionship. Secure fencing is a must, as she is extremely difficult to catch. Early on with her time in her foster home, she got loose and it took a week and a whole community looking out for her to get her back home. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where his future was uncertain and time was running out. Despite that rough start, Max is resilient, curious, and ready to experience the life every young dog deserves — one filled with learning, love, and adventure. Still very much a puppy, Max is at an age where training, bonding, and exploration are part of everyday life. Meet Lilo! This sweetheart is a poodle mix, around 1 year old. She weighs 23 lbs, so a perfect medium size! Lilo is a wonderful companion. She is crate trained, potty trained and a lovely well behaved girl. She gets along with other dogs. We have not seen her with children so for this reason we recommend her for a home with kids over 8.  Lilo was found in poor condition and was completely shaved upon arrival. Her coat was too matted. She has an old injury to one of her back legs and will occasionally hold that leg up. She had x-rays and no action is needed at this time. We're not sure what happened to her before coming to us. It does not seem to impair her functioning in any way.  Lilo is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
