Story
Meet Jax, an eight-month-old Terrier Schnauzer mix who is ready to find his forever person. Jax is a very affectionate young dog who makes friends with people instantly. Once he meets you, he forms a strong bond right away and will happily stick close to his favorite human. Because he is still a young pup growing into his paws, he thrives on close companionship and will make a devoted shadow around the house. When it comes to other dogs, Jax prefers a peaceful lifestyle. He has some dog-to-dog reactivity, but he is not looking for trouble and will actively choose to avoid other dogs rather than engage. He would do best in a home where he can be the center of attention or in an environment that respects his preference for low-key canine interactions. If you are looking for an affectionate, loyal companion who will look to you for guidance and shower you with love, Jax is waiting to meet you. Story
Meet ButtonButton is a handsome young wire-haired terrier/Schnauzer mix, estimated to be around 2-3 years old, with striking golden-hazel eyes, a soft white chest, and an adorable little white mohawk that gives him a permanently mischievous look.Button loves being part of the action. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, a trail hike, or simply hanging out with his people, he's happiest when he's included. He's an active boy who enjoys exploring and has plenty of energy for adventures. One of Button's most charming traits is that he 'talks.' He'll often make funny little sounds and chatter when he's excited or trying to get your attention. He has a lot to say and isn't shy about sharing his opinions. When he's not out adventuring, Button has a goofy side. He loves relaxing on his back with all four legs in the air, soaking up attention and showing off his playful personality.Button is a smart boy who enjoys learning and working with his people. He has been doing well with his leash skills and continues to make great progress. He quickly figured out how to use the dog door and settled into his foster home's routine almost immediately, which is a great example of how intelligent and adaptable he can be.He is potty trained, though adopters should always expect a learning curve when any dog transitions into a new environment. Button is also pretty well crate trained and settles nicely when given structure and routine.Button is loyal, affectionate, and full of character. While he bonds deeply with his people, he can be a bit insecure when meeting new people and may take some time to warm up. Because of this, he's looking for an experienced home that understands how to build trust, advocate for their dog, and help him navigate situations that make him uncomfortable.Like many terrier mixes, Button can be sensitive to overstimulating environments. He has previously nipped at joggers who unexpectedly ran toward him on walks, so he is muzzle trained for situations where extra management may be helpful. His muzzle is simply a tool that allows him to safely enjoy outings while setting him up for success. In his day-to-day life, Button is generally a chill, easygoing guy who enjoys being with his people, exploring the world, and then relaxing at home. He just needs a family that understands his insecurities and will continue helping him build confidence.Button is looking for a patient, dog-savvy home that will appreciate his intelligence, enjoy his quirky conversations, and give him the structure, understanding, and companionship he thrives on.If you're looking for a dog with personality, charm, intelligence, and a best-friend attitude, Button may be the perfect match. To be considered for adoption, please submit a detailed adoption application so we can help ensure the best possible match for both Button and his future family.Apply at: www.K9ppr.orgAugust 19, 2026, 1:27 am

Story
🤍 Meet Pierre! 🤍🐶 Pierre Jacques is an adorable 1½-year-old Poodle-ish Schnauzer terrier mix weighing about 13 pounds. He's the perfect combination of sweet, smart, playful, and affectionate.🐾 Adoption Requirements (Please Read)Pierre is looking for a home that can meet his specific needs. His ideal home includes:* Another friendly, playful dog (preferred)* Children 12 years or older* An experienced adopter comfortable managing fear-based behavior during veterinary and grooming visits* Commitment to continued training, exercise, and mental enrichment* Professional grooming every 4-6 weeks* A home (not an apartment) where his vocal, talkative personality won't be an issue🎾 Personality & LifestylePierre is a happy, energetic little guy who loves:* Going for walks* Riding in the car* Playing with toys* Exploring and joining in on adventuresHe is very intelligent and a quick learner. In his foster home, he is:* Doing great with potty training (always expect a learning curve when adjusting to new environments)* Fully mastering 'Sit'* Progressing nicely with crate trainingPierre enjoys the company of other animals and gets along well with both dogs and cats. If a cat runs, he may try to join the chase, but it's all in playful fun.Pierre is also a vocal little guy and can be barky and talkative, especially when he's excited or alerting you to something. Because of this, apartment living or homes with close neighbors probably aren't the best fit.🧠 Behavior & Training NeedsLike many rescue dogs, Pierre can become fearful in unfamiliar or stressful situations, especially at the veterinarian and during grooming. When scared, he may become defensive and nippy. He will need:* An adopter who understands canine body language and recognizes his fear signals* Continued positive reinforcement training and confidence building* A calm, patient home that can safely manage veterinary and grooming visits* Ongoing structure, exercise, and mental enrichmentDespite these challenges, Pierre is incredibly sweet in his everyday environment and thrives when he feels safe, understood, and included in the family.✂️ Grooming NeedsPierre will require professional grooming every 4-6 weeks. Regular grooming is essential, as his coat will become painfully matted if neglected.💙 Our CommitmentAt K9 Paw Print Rescue, we require a detailed adoption application because we are committed to finding the right home—not just the next home. Our goal is to ensure our dogs never have to experience the heartbreak of losing their family again.🐶 Ready to Apply? If you think Pierre might be your perfect match, we'd love to hear from you!🐾 Apply to adopt at www.K9PPR.orgAugust 19, 2026, 1:27 am

Story
Two year old neutered male poodle mixLittle Wolf is a handsome 2 year old, 18 lb. boy who is neutered, vaccinated, free of parasites and is SO ready to find his person! He’s sweet, playful, loves his walks, LOVES other dogs, and once he trusts you, he is all about the love. He’s also a little bit of a work in progress—which means he needs someone who can give him the patience, consistency, and love he deserves. Little Wolf is fostered in the East SF Bay Area. We are open to out of the area adopters who are willing to come to us to meet him. When Little Wolf first came to us, he was covered in severe mats and was very nervous and protective. We don’t know much about his life before coming into foster care, but it’s clear that he didn’t get the care or training he needed. The good news? He is making progress, and he is SO eager to be loved once he feels safe with you. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT LITTLE WOLF: He loves his people! He tends to prefer women and just needs a little extra time and patience to warm up to men. He LOVES other dogs! He would be a fantastic playmate for a dog who enjoys having a buddy. He may be a little much for a dog who prefers their personal space. He could also happily be your one-and-only, as long as he gets plenty of attention from his human. What about cats? We’re not completely sure yet how Little Wolf feels about cats, but we think he may be able to live with a confident, dog-savvy cat. A careful introduction and the right feline personality would be important. He LOVES his walks! Walks are a great way for him to burn energy and help him relax. His foster mom usually takes him on two walks a day—just over a mile each time—and he LOVES them! He’s a great travel buddy! Little Wolf does well in the crate and on car rides, making him an easy guy to take along on adventures. He’s still working on house training. He is definitely improving! He loves exploring and marking the yard, so frequent trips outside are helpful. And he has absolutely no problem wearing a belly band while he works on his manners. Best for a home without small children. He would do best in a home without young children since he can be a little nippy when he’s nervous. And look at all the GOOD stuff! • Young and handsome • Healthy • Neutered • Microchipped • Vaccinated • Freshly and beautifully groomed • LOVES other dogs • GREAT on walks • Does well in a crate • Does well on car rides • Very affectionate once he trusts you WHAT LITTLE WOLF NEEDS Little Wolf needs someone who will give him time to trust, help him build confidence, keep him active, and show him that people can be good. He may need a little more patience than some dogs, but once he lets you into his heart, you get the feeling he is going to give you ALL the love he’s been waiting for. If you think you might be Little Wolf’s person, please email us at at @beourpet@gmail.com! We know he’s very handsome, and may get a lot of attentions so please let us know what his life would be like with you and how you plan to work through some of his challenges. This handsome boy is ready for his next chapter—and he deserves a family who will give him the time and love to become the very best version of himself.
