Meet Misu — a 36-pound sweetheart with a heart ready to heal. After her beloved owner passed away, Misu found herself at a vet hospital, where our rescue was contacted to give her a second chance. She’s slowly learning that the world can be a safe, happy place and that meeting new people can be a wonderful thing. Misu is gentle and loving, and while she hasn’t had much experience with small children, she would do well with older, considerate kids who can respect her space. For now, she’d prefer to be the only dog in the home — she had a tough experience where another dog bit her, so she’s still building her confidence around other pups. She’s currently getting training to help her feel safe and comfortable again. Her perfect family will be patient, kind, and ready to show her that love is always worth trusting again. Elana is a very sweet 2-year-old, 15 lb. Schnauzer/Poodle mix. This beautiful little lady is friendly, affectionate, and always ready to make new friends—both human and canine. She’s a quick learner who mastered the doggie door in no time and is doing great with her potty training. Elana sleeps soundly through the night and loves to play fetch—she’s a natural at catching and retrieving her toys! When playtime is over, Elana is all about cuddles. She’s smart, eager to please, and already knows her basic commands like sit, shake, and stay. Elana is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever family. Her adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. He is familiar with cats; but never lived with one - he is a pup; therefore he is trainable. he is 7 months old. He has more energy than sister and mama. he has received his core puppy vaccinations, dewormed, and spayed/neutered. Junior's 7 month old sister Betty and mama Fiona are available for adoption. Nachos is a wonderful mellow young male fur 4 leg boy with lots of love to give you!! he has this wonderful soft & wired hair that makes him look so cute!!😊making him a hypoallergenic or low shedding boy:) He is very playful; and gets along with all dogs. He plays so much with his buddy an Australian Shepherd named Lady. However, at the beginning he is a little shy - once he is comfortable he will be very playful. He is crate trained. He is a cuddle bug once he is comfortable. He has the ideal size as well - not too small neither too large:) As with all rescued fur kids; he is going to need training, love reinforcement; as you know they all come from a tough beginning on their lives and the art of adopting a rescued creature is to bring them to be the best they can be with love and patience. He hasn't been around cats since we rescued him; therefore, we do not know how he will be cats. Nachos will make a great family addition to any family:) He was found next to the death body of another dog; we assumed a sister - he was crying for her - and wasn't let her be there left alone - The hybrid is a people pleaser and will, therefore, respond well to training while enjoying the attention and the chance to make you happy that comes with it. Nova came to us with two other Miniature Schnauzers from a hoarding situation. Their owner ended up with too many dogs and had to give them up to have a chance at a better life. Nova is around 8 years old and is a lovely, social girl. She enjoys going for walks and being held. Her favorite place is next to you on the couch! She gets along with other dogs, has good manners and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Gigi will be your best girlie! Hello, there! I’m Gigi– a little lady with a big heart, a dash of sass, and a deep love for my people. At 8 years young, I’m the ultimate companion. I’m a cute Cairn terrier (if I don’t say so myself) at a nice medium-sized, 45 pounds. I adore snuggling on the couch, sleeping in bed with my humans, going on sniff-filled strolls, and proudly carrying around my stuffed animals like tiny trophies. I found my way to TAP as a transfer from Pasadena Humane Society after the wildfires.  Since then, I’ve settled in and learned what it means to be a carefree pup. I like other dogs, but I can be protective when it comes to sharing my favorite things (can you blame a girl for wanting to keep her treats and toys?). With patient guidance, I know I’ll get there! After all, I’m an extremely smart girl.  On leash, I am a little reactive and am working on being able to say hello to other pups.  Off-leash, though, I’m A-OK.  Other than that, I’m fully potty-trained and crate-trained, eager to please, and love being part of a family. I do have a bit of general anxiety here and there but am currently taking CBD to help manage it. I’d love an active home where I can be your devoted little shadow – someone who understands that I thrive with a routine, plenty of walks and activity, and lots of love. I’m the pawfect balance of active energy and cute cuddles.  (I’ve even been told that I have the energy and spunk of a dog half my age!) Due to my resource guarding, I’d be best as your solo sweetheart or with a mellow, submissive pooch so that I can be the Alpha.  I’ve already grown so much with my foster fam and know that I will continue to blossom with love and patience. If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky girl who’s ready to find her furever, I just might be the perfect fit. Come meet me—I’ll be the one wagging my tail, waiting for you! She is such a cutie. She fits your 'small but mighty' personality. Debby is wonderful with humans, dogs and cats. She is a pro at kennel trained and for being a xs breed she is not a barky dog. Like all terriers she loves toys and she probably has feline tendencies trying to play with all the cat toys, feather wands, etc Currently housed at casa de arwob which means she is fostered with multiple dogs of all sizes and cats. She does well during car rides but has not been taken on frequent walks which means she still needs to learn a little more about leash walking and we are using the harness for now. She doesn't seem to have leash reactivity and under 10lbs and already full grown she is best paired for someone who understans if she wehre to be a dog park kinda gal she should stay on the small dog parks only to keep her safe. She is also small but needs a home who will keep her active as she enjoys playing especially with her friends dogs, cats and humans alike. Debby was rescued off the streets of baja and as a super mutt we can only choose her breed by her looks, should she have a DNA test we don't know what she will be, could be a chihuahua poodle or some small breed. We can say she is healthy and fully vetted and READY to find her forever family before the Holidays.
