Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZnVouAvph-c Axle is a young adult boy who weighs about 40 lbs. He is the absolute sweetest boy who loves cuddles and gets along great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. He is very calm and only gets excited when you direct your attention towards him. He doesn't jump or paw at you. In the video he was terrified in a shelter with a 100 dogs barking so that level of excitement is not his normal. He has wavy/curly hair but it's soft, not wiry. He is an absolute gem. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Story
Airedale Terrier + Labrador Retriever Mix 1 year old Male 71 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No If you are looking for a fun-filled fella then “I Gus” I am just what you’re looking for. Searching for a dog who’s smart, adventurous, and eager to please? Well then, “I Gus” you’ve found him right here. I’m an intelligent young man who will enjoy joining you on weekend camping trips, long hikes, and evenings cuddling on the couch. Trips to the beach would be awesome too, a fond reminder of my homeland of Maui. Coffee shops and city walks might not be my speed, since meeting people on leash isn’t really my strongest skill but I sure do love a good time! Other dogs are fine by me, in fact I love to play, but I don’t enjoy sharing my goodies, and I’d venture to “Gus” that your sturdy children 8+ would adore having me as their pal. I’m housebroken and already crate trained, but I’m looking for you to provide me the love, structure, and comfort I need to settle right into your family. Why keep “Gussing” about it? Hurry on in and meet me! My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Hi there, I'm Riley and I am Rosie's brother. I am a one year old wire haired terrier around 40 lbs. I am a sweet boy who is good with the peoples of all sizes and with other dogs when I get the chance for a proper introduction. I don't have any experience with those cat things, but being a Terrier mix, I might not be the best fit. I can be a little shy at first but I warm up quickly and then you and I will be fast friends. My sister and I were pulled from the streets and so she is a little needy of her "big" brother so if you would love double the fun we would really like to stay together. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
