Story
If you ever wanted a dog who dances for attention, smiles with an adorable underbite snaggletooth, and acts like every human is his favorite human, well congratulations! Your search is over because Curly Boy is exactly that. He doesn't just walk into a room, he performs. Little paw taps, happy wiggles, and a grin that looks like he knows exactly how cute he is. Whether he's dancing his way into your heart or flashing that perfectly imperfect smile, Curly Boy's personality is pure joy wrapped in a tiny, curly tailed body. Basically, if happiness had a snaggletooth and a dance move, it would be Curly Boy. Watch his video and fall in love with his dancing cutie: https://youtu.be/j3gKngGv2JE?si=RwTiFsCUdme-5FIS At just 6 months old and 14 pounds, Curly Boy is the perfect small-sized sidekick believed to be a Schnauzer/Shih Tzu mix with a curly tail that never stops showing off his joy. That perky curl is basically a preview of who he is: cheerful, affectionate, and completely irresistible. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Curly Boy is extremely people-oriented and thrives on love. He’s the kind of pup who wants to be close. Snuggling, cuddling, and handing out sweet kisses like it’s his full-time job. If you’re looking for a dog who truly bonds with his person, Curly Boy is your guy. What really sets him apart? His entertainment factor is off the charts. He loves to “dance” and uses his paws to politely (and adorably) tap you for attention. He scratches his own back by doing the cutest little back wiggle almost as if he’s giving you a break dance show and crawls along the floor like a Navy SEAL. He knows exactly how to make everyone laugh. Watching him is pure joy. Curly Boy loves toys too! Some of his favorite toys are kongs, balls, anything he can chase, carry, and proudly show off. He’s happy playing with other small dogs and running around with them, but he’s also great at entertaining himself when playtime winds down. Curly also does great with dogs way bigger than him and he doesn’t get intimated by their size either. He makes doggy friends easily. Inside the home, he’s an absolute dream. Curly Boy is crate trained, quiet, and well-mannered, with no unnecessary barking. He’s gentle with his mouth, listens beautifully, and is incredibly responsive. Especially when you call his name and tell him how handsome he is. He’ll sit and pose like he knows he’s being admired. He’s also a fantastic walking buddy, making him perfect for someone who enjoys neighborhood strolls or mini hikes. Car rides? Big fan. One of his cutest habits is sitting behind your neck in the car so he can look out the window like the co-pilot he believes he is. Curly Boy is playful, affectionate, funny, and full of love. He’s the kind of dog who makes every day brighter just by being himself and he’s ready to bring that happiness home for good. We can see him thriving in a home with a backyard and we also believe he would thrive in an apartment/condo. He doesn't require much exercise, a simple walk around the neighborhood, play time with his new fur siblings, or play time with his human is all he needs. He's also happy to just snuggle with you on the couch while you binge watch your favorite show. It doesn't take much to make him happy. He just wants to be loved and be with his people and he's a happy dancing boy. If you’re searching for a small dog with a huge heart, endless charm, and a curly tail that never quits, Curly Boy is ready to meet you. We are willing to test Curly Boy with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZnVouAvph-c Axle is a young adult boy who weighs about 40 lbs. He is the absolute sweetest boy who loves cuddles and gets along great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. He is very calm and only gets excited when you direct your attention towards him. He doesn't jump or paw at you. In the video he was terrified in a shelter with a 100 dogs barking so that level of excitement is not his normal. He has wavy/curly hair but it's soft, not wiry. He is an absolute gem. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Airedale Terrier + Labrador Retriever Mix 1 year old Male 71 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No If you are looking for a fun-filled fella then “I Gus” I am just what you’re looking for. Searching for a dog who’s smart, adventurous, and eager to please? Well then, “I Gus” you’ve found him right here. I’m an intelligent young man who will enjoy joining you on weekend camping trips, long hikes, and evenings cuddling on the couch. Trips to the beach would be awesome too, a fond reminder of my homeland of Maui. Coffee shops and city walks might not be my speed, since meeting people on leash isn’t really my strongest skill but I sure do love a good time! Other dogs are fine by me, in fact I love to play, but I don’t enjoy sharing my goodies, and I’d venture to “Gus” that your sturdy children 8+ would adore having me as their pal. I’m housebroken and already crate trained, but I’m looking for you to provide me the love, structure, and comfort I need to settle right into your family. Why keep “Gussing” about it? Hurry on in and meet me! My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Meet Castiel! Castiel is currently 8 months old, and we think he may be a wire hair terrier and chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Castiel is a joyful boy with a wiry coat, probably moderate to low shedder, and he’s young so he has spunky energy. He likes toys and playing with kids! He tries to instigate play and engagement. Castile is so unique and beautiful! Everywhere we take him, people talk about how unique he is! Castiel is a Good little guy! He played with Jessica - another small playful dog- and he is not too pushy with his play, for a puppy. He played chase for a little bit and would come back up to me to sit next to my feet. Once he got tired he would lay down in front of me and relax taking all the affection he could get. He is a puppy so he will need some training as he gets older, but he will learn quickly because he is very much a people pleaser. When he met my kids ages 4 and 7, he was joyful and wanted to engage with them. He’s very trusting and outgoing. He does like toys and wants to initiate play. He met a cat with us and was uninterested. Watch Castiel's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA8uxj60QXw Castiel is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! Castiel is a special boy who doesn't let anything slow him down. He is hearing impaired but is still fully capable of jumping up on the couch for a romp and a snuggle. He is not shy and adores other dogs and wants to be everyone's friend. Castiel is a one of a kind guy! It’s not everyday you get the chance to adopt a blue eyed wonderboy! If you are looking for a friend to spend your days with, Castiel is your guy! Castiel is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Castiel’s new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6847277be1ba93663e02dcd5 Please email emilyparsons@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1000.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport.
