At just 4.5 months old and 19 pounds, Millie has already beaten the odds. She was found starving on the streets of South Texas, but you’d never guess it now—she’s thriving, full of life, and ready for a fresh start. Millie is everything you want in a young dog: ✔️ Sweet and affectionate ✔️ Playful and energetic ✔️ Smart and eager to learn She’s already making great progress with basic commands and housebreaking, and she’ll continue to excel with consistency and structure. Millie does have a unique feature—her tail healed from an old break and now has a slight L-shaped curve at the tip. It doesn’t slow her down one bit and just adds to her character. Because of her energy and intelligence, Millie will do best in an active home that can keep her physically and mentally engaged. She’s not a couch potato—she’s a dog that wants to do things with her people. Ideal home: Active individual or family Committed to training and structure Ready for a fun, high-energy puppy phase Millie has come a long way from where she started. Now she just needs someone to finish the story. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $200. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories. Our adoption events are held each Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org ✨ Meet Millie ✨ female - 4 months -19lbs (approximately 40ish lbs grown) - schnauzer/patterdale mix If adorableness were a graded subject, Millie would be your class valedictorian, student body president, and teacher’s favorite… all rolled into one. At just 4–4½ months old and 19 pounds, this Schnauzer/Patterdale Terrier mix is basically a tiny, wiggly bundle of joy with a face that could end arguments, win elections, and absolutely get away with stealing your socks (which… she might do). She does great with people and other dogs. Cats are unknown but at her tender age, if properly introduced, she should do just fine. Millie is everything you expect from a puppy—playful, affectionate, curious, and just the right amount of chaos to keep life interesting. She comes fully equipped with daily zoomies, surprise “what’s in my mouth?” moments, and enough personality to keep you laughing 24/7. 💛 Current hobbies include: – Wiggling directly into your arms without warning – Collecting random “treasures” (leaves, toys, possibly your shoe) – Making you laugh at least 12 times a day – Perfecting her “I’m too cute to be in trouble” face She’s still learning the ropes—leash training is on the to-do list, and as a young pup, she’ll need guidance, patience, and a sense of humor (trust us, you’ll need it… in the best way). But here’s the thing about Millie… underneath all the puppy shenanigans is a very loving little girl who just wants to be close to her people. It only takes a snap of the fingers before she has wiggled her way into your arms… and permanently into your heart. She’s the kind of dog who turns ordinary days into something brighter, sillier, and a whole lot more fun. Apply today at haydudeequine.org if you’re ready for laughter, love, and a lifetime of “did she really just do that?” moments—cuz Millie is ready to be your new bestest friend!! 💕
