He has a sweet temperament and is active and playful. He will make a loyal companion. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $350. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar. Meet Charlie Charlie is about 1 1/2 years old, weighs 25 pounds and is a super happy, playful pup! He is very sweet, friendly and as you can see in the video, enjoys exploring and playing. He was rescued by a neighbor after his mom and siblings were confiscated for animal cruelty. We are so grateful she worked so hard to rescue him. We can see Charlie doing well in a home where he can get lots of attention and playtime with his family. He is curious and also enjoys being held. He has a fun personality and he is very smart. He enjoys playing with his toys and other dogs here at the rescue. He is just a fun-loving pup who can’t wait to find a home of his own! He would be a wonderful, loyal companion to grow up in just about any family environment. Charlie is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped and his adoption fee is $325. We think Paxton was dumped because he is an Alpha dog who is dog selective. I put that he needs to be the only dog in the home because he does not get along with most male dogs but loves the females. It is strange because I watch him play so well with some male dogs and other males dogs he just cannot tolerate. He is just fine with all of the females. He is not aggressive in any way. He did bark relentlessly at me when I first met him but that quickly changed later that day and now he is my friend. He allows me to put pills in his mouth and handle him in any way. He is just fearful when meeting new people. If you choose Paxton please be prepared to let him decompress in your home so his fears will go away. He is crate trained but does not like to be in there. He walks very well on a leash. Paxton would be a great friend to walk daily or run with. He looks to me for guidance. He is a pure breed Schnauzer, 1 year old and 12.5 pounds of playful energy. He is in a home with several fosters big and small breeds and he happily plays with all of them. This guy is a lover as well as he loves to snuggle with me when he is not playing with his pay PEPE or one of the female pugs. And he walks great on a leash, no pulling, just normal walking. WINSTON was dumped in a far away landfill completely matted with his nails so overgrown they had curved over. He was great while being groomed for such a long time, he just stood there like a champion. He is well behaved and low maintenance on a daily basis. Boo WHO?! A Boo who would love to be with YOU! This sweet boy arrived at SNIPSA with an unknown history but we suspect somewhere along the way he had a spinal injury. He gets around like a champ greeting his fan club with a wagging tail. Boo is social, curious, and wants to join you on the sofa for long siestas. His favorite show is the Golden Girls and his favorite food is a sliver of steak. He does well with other dogs and is well behaved in the house. He isn’t loud or overbearing and is eager to find a pillow just to bed down wherever that may be. The downside is Boo suffers from mild urinary incontinence and his bladder needs to be manually expressed a few times a day. We know we have probably lost our audience at this point, but in reality it’s super easy. Just a little squeeze, he relaxes and the bladder is emptied. He is aware when the bladder is full and more than willing to help with the process. He can wear a belly band if needed for added confidence. With this aside, we know Boo will need that special person willing to step up for that special dog. Yet, we are confident there is a home for every dog so we were willing to take that chance.
