Hello, world! Meet our newest little siblings, McKinley and her brother, Tyler (DOB: 5/27/25 or so) How'd they get here? Our friend and rescue partner, Ruth of Tip My Ear, answered a knock on her door and there they were, in the arms of neighborhood kids. Of course, she took them in and called us right away, as she had nowhere to put them. They are precious. They are smart. They are purry. They are brave. They are hilarious to watch. McKinley and Tyler are bonded and will be adopted to their forever home together. Get your application in!

George came to us as a tiny little guy, all alone, and he liked it that way! He kept himself quite entertained. Soon, however, he made lots of friends, including George and Silas. These days, George roams around the Sanctuary playing and cuddling with most everyone! He can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up nicely once he realizes you are not going to hurt him. Story
Sammy is "special needs" as he needs a seasoned human, who is willing to patiently work with him to bring him out of his shell. He really doesn't know if he can trust humans, because he was abandoned out in the cold, cruel world, and he was being beaten up by other strays. We don't know anything else about his history. A good Samaritan saw what was happening to him, phoned us requesting we take him in, and we said, "Bring him!" Sammy was quite shy for the first few weeks at the Sanctuary. When he was ready, we opened his condo door so he could come out and join the others. However, he stayed in the open crate for days! Eventually, his curiosity got the better of him, and Sammy ventured out into the "kitten room," where he allowed us to approach and pet him. He's a very quiet, sweet boy. As for children, he'd be much more comfortable with a very gentle, older child. He seeks comfort with several of our other cats, especially Archie, who makes up in love-seeking what Sammy currently lacks. DOB: 3/1/22 Friendly, Gentle, Curious, Independent, Quiet DOB: 3/1/2022

Story
Goldie's mom was a Silver Tabby Maine Coon, but a bit on the smaller side. That trait didn't reveal itself in Goldie, tho! She's a very large girl! Goldie is so gentle; when she wants attention, she ever-so-calmly paws her foster mom's nose or arm. Goldie, her mom and siblings were rescued from the streets a few days after the kittens were born. Goldie can be a little shy, but she will come around if you approach her calmly and slowly so she knows she's safe. Once she trusts, she trusts with her whole heart. This girl is a total couch potato, especially if the couch is in the sun! She does like to sit NEXT to her foster mom, not ON her lap; She loves to curl up in the crook of mom's arm to go to sleep for the night. Goldie has the most unusual coat - there's a lot of gold fur mixed in with the various browns. Her coat is very plush and does require regular combing. Goldie doesn't like to be brushed or have her claws trimmed, but with the appropriate treats and sweet-talk, she can be persuaded. She's seen here with her kitty friend, Hart, and cat-loving doggie, TyTy. Sadly, Hart AND TyTy left for the Rainbow Bridge. Goldie hasn't warmed up to our new dog, despite his attempts at gentle persuasion. While she hasn't been partial to any of the other cats aside from Tasha, she gets along just fine with all of them. She will groom any random cat that passes before her. DOB: 4/18/18 Characteristics Affectionate, Dignified, Friendly, Gentle, Independent, Quiet, Smart, Couch potato, Loves kisses, Sweet, Bonded With Tasha, Playful

Sully (aka Sullivan) came to us as an orphaned baby just under two months old, having been fished out of a car engine. Understandably, he was quite shaken and very timid upon arrival. Today, Sully is quite a different kitty! He absolutely adores his foster mom, seeks her out for love and playtime, and loves to be the lap cat he has become. Sully's markings are exquisite. He gets along very well with cats of all sizes and enjoys the company of our 70-lb cat-loving doggo. Sully would not be okay as an only pet. He'd be unhappy if all alone for extended periods of time. He greatly enjoys our screened areas and jumping around from cat tree to cat tree. When the day is over and he's exhausted himself from all that playing, Sully is quite content to curl up in his foster mom's lap purring loudly and snuggling her neck. DOB: 8/8/24

Story
This little guy has some amazingly beautiful markings to go along with his amazingly wonderful purrsonality. Silas (DOB: 04/21/2023) was a stray kitten who, thankfully, was rescued and brought to us. This little guy is uber-affectionate. Silas loves to play and especially snuggle and sleep with his two best friends, George and Miley. He enjoys being held and combed and even likes kisses! Silas will come running the moment his foster mom enters the room...he will jump up on the nearest piece of furniture to her, so he can put his paws on her shoulders, his nose in her face and talk and purr away. He just can't get enough love! We say he is "special needs" because he does have one bad habit. He likes to chomp on his foster mom's chin, and it hurts! She's trying to break him of that habit and is making slow and steady progress. DOB: 4/21/23

Story
Mochi, along with his six siblings, were born to a "community cat." Their mom, Minx, a Lilac Point Siamese, was being fed with others but not spayed. When she turned up pregnant, the feeder waited until she was ready to deliver before he contacted us. Since Minx was clearly about to give birth, we set her up in our nursery. Sure enough, the very next day, she delivered seven babies. Their foster mom was present for the births, and it's a good thing! Minx had three breach babies on March 26th. On April 14th, we took in an orphaned single kitten of the same age. This little family accepted "Kimba" as one of their own. Minx raised all eight babies with such love and devotion that we are hoping she can be adopted with a pair of her littles. Mochi is a little sweetheart. While quite playful, he tends to be on the gentle and quiet side. His best friends seem to be Inky and Louie, but he would be happy to be adopted with any of his buddies. Our kittens are adopted in pairs, as we strongly believe that (for all involved) two is much better than one! DOB: 3/28/24

Story
Ravadoll and her mom, Mamacita, lost their person in July, 2025. They had been neglected by her for some time prior, due to her physical difficulties. The girls had been left alone in the home since her passing and were visited daily by a family member. They've been with us since 10/23 and have acclimated very well. Ravadoll is a quite girl, who welcomes attention and pets. The pair are not particularly bonded, but get along very well with each other. They can each be a bit testy with the other cats, but that is to be expected - having lived alone their entire lives and now are just two of many, some very active "teens." All in all, Ravadoll and Mamacita are doing extremely well, showing their ability to adapt to all scenarios. Once in a new home with less cats and activity, we feel certain that all will go well. They deserve to live out their lives with love, being cared for as they should. Ravadoll required a dental procedure upon admission, and six teeth were extracted. Her overall health is very good. Unless someone wants to adopt the pair, Mamacita (13 years old) will remain with us as a hospice case. She suffers from kidney disease and slight hyperthyroidism. Mamacita tends to roam the sanctuary, moving about with grace and curiosity, while Ravadoll pretty much stays put in one place.
