Story
This cat was coming around my house looking for food and water for a few months. Once it started getting colder I brought the cat inside to find it a shelter or new home and have contacted a few different places that either at max capacity or can't take a cat from a different county, but Newton does not have an ARL. I have a 17 year old cat two dogs, a toddler, and a 6 month old and have my hands full as is.:( I can provide cat food and litter for the settling process/ help with any setting necessitates!

These cats are in Pleasant Hill, Iowa too!

Story
Meatball is a friendly, playful guy who is about a year and half old. He is Fiv+, but he`s not aggressive, so he is safe to mix with other cats. He is currently in a temporary home with two older cats who are not into playing, much to Meatball`s dismay. If you have a playful kitty who needs a playmate, consider Meatball! He also gets along with small children. He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He has had flea prevention and dewormer. The adult cat adoption fee is $50. If you are interested in meeting this adorable guy, please complete the cat adoption form and we will set up a time for you to meet him.Application: https://safehomerescue.org/how-to-adopt/cat-adoption-form/

Story
Don`t let Chanel`s fancy name and Turkish Van appearance fool you - her life so far has been far from royalty. She found herself thrown outside in the middle of winter by a human who let her down. She had to learn how to survive on the streets. She became pregnant but luckily ended up in a foster home after a caring neighbor made some calls. She raised 6 beautiful kittens and now she is looking for a home of her own. Chanel still has so much kitten energy and some anxiety-rightfully so. She will need a patient home that will take the time to teach her that hands are not chew toys. Chanel loves lap time and playtime, but because of her life experiences, she can play very rough. Chanel may do ok with another pet after a slow introduction, but she is a dominant kitty. She would do great on her own as well. We are looking for someone to give her a second chance at life. She has been spayed and had preventive dewormer, flea preventive, FVRCP and rabies vaccines, and she is microchipped. If you are interested in meeting this adorable young lady, please complete the cat adoption form on our website https://safehomerescue.org/how-to-adopt/cat-adoption-form/. The adult cat adoption fee is $50.

Story
Iowa Cat wants a real home.Message Agape Fosters page if interested in this big guy.Pappy approx 7 years old is off the mean streets of Waterloo after living off the land for years. He was worn for wear but looks much better now. He’s been fully vetted, incl tested and neutered. He’s rather dog like but doesn’t like dogs. He may do ok with a confident female cat or kittens as he helped take care of his offspring. His 4 kittens were also fixed and adopted out. He’d love a real home or even a foster/temporary home.
