Story
Frankie is a very loving, sweet cat. She is 11 years old and she's been raised around little children! She loves to snuggle and play, to listen to the birds and venture outside if you let her. She likes to go outside on the deck for fresh air, but won't run away and likes to stay close. She loves to play with string and noisy wrappers. She's amazing with kids and even dogs, given the chance to get to know them. Her favorite wet food is Sheba and dry food is Purina soft morsels, chicken or salmon. She loves to be groomed and never fusses about nail trims! She's very tame. Our other cats are ganging up on her and torturing her. She is terrified everyday. We fear her quality of life is put in jeopardy and it is unsafe living conditions for her. She needs a loving home where she can live in peace. 🕊️ She has been given a very good home, extremely well mannered and house trained. We hope we can find a loving new home for her! Thank you for taking the time to read!

Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
He hopped on to one of our work trucks as a kitten when I installed gutters. I ended up with him, but can't keep him anymore. He spent some time on the streets by himself and is only used to me, he will need someone experienced who knows how to introduce him. Very loving and patient once he knows you, but he will need careful adjusting with someone experienced with cats. I chilled him out when I got him by giving him food. It's difficult to say if he is gray or brown, he seems to have a lot of gray on him and a good amount of black. An interesting forehead pattern also

Story
My name is George, I am 2 years old, neutered, and FIV+. This just means I need to stay indoors and get regular vet care. I can still live a long, happy life — even with other friendly cats, as long as we get along! I am as fun and energetic as any other cat. I love following people around; you will never be lonely again with me in the house. I love to play and need lots of exercise throughout the day. I love to snuggle. I make cute silly snore noises! This happens when I focus really hard, or am about to fall asleep. I also have a special skill to offer: I will personally test all of your food for poison, this includes any meals, drinks, plants, and any plate you leave out! Before I moved to a foster home, I joined Ames Animal Shelter through their Third Chance program on November 6, 2025.I was the longest resident at my last shelter I have never stopped believing my special person is out there. I`m a calm, friendly guy with a big heart who`s ready to start a new chapter.Being FIV positive, I wanted to leave you with a resource to read more about me: The Best Friends Animal Society has a great page about adopting an FIV positive cat that you can see at https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s been waiting patiently for his chance, I’d love to meet you. Come visit me at Ames Animal Shelter — I might just be your new best friend!
