Story
Kayla is 11 years old and had been with my friends mom since she was a kitten. I happened to be there when she was born and placed her and all her siblings/cousins with homes. So I volunteered to foster and help find a home once her mom became too sick to care for her. I hoped to be able to keep here because my 2 cats are actually her cousins. But after a several months, they have not gotten used to each other. I live in a 5th wheel and don’t have a lot of room to start with and at the moment, I have to keep them separated. Kayla is a little less stressed but my cats are starting to be upset having to be kept to one side of the trailer. She needs to be an only cat. She tolerates dogs after getting used to them. She is very sweet and lovey. She likes to come lie on you, get forehead kisses and plays fetch with emery boards lol. She does tend towards love bites and does get a little carried away sometimes. We have been working on it and she is getting better at not doing that.

Story
Meet Einstein A Special Soul in Need of a Safe, Patient home. He is a sweet, anxious cat with special needs. He uses the litter box to poop but not to pee, which has made it hard to keep him indoors full-time. He’s currently staying in a safe patio/shed space and enjoys being outside. He has some special needs: skin issues from overgrooming, broken teeth from panic reactions, and likely requires dental care I haven’t been able to afford. He does best with calm, quiet environments and would likely thrive as the only pet, with safe outdoor access. He’s not aggressive but gets overwhelmed easily and needs someone experienced with sensitive cats. Rehoming him is heartbreaking, but I want what’s best for him. If you think you could offer Einstein a low-stress home and the care he needs, please reach out.

Story
DOB 03-2025 Tut and his sister Isis are ready for their new adventure. Tut was the first to find a way to his fosters' shoulder and settle in for a cuddle. Tut loves his sister, but he does not share his yummy canned food, so his foster solved this problem by feeding them on separate dishes. They are food motivated and have been taught to come to the crackle of a treat bag being opened. One of their favorite spots is on top of a cat tree where they can survey their kingdom. Because of their activity and differences, these two seem like an excellent starter set for a young busy couple. Introductions to two different cat personalities, and yet they are fine alone together for hours. Extremely open to training at this age. They purr often, especially when combed or brushed. Both kittens have adjusted to their Fosters' cats, but have yet to encounter a dog. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). Adoption fee. All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first served. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats, while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes, we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application, https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
DOB 07/2024 Maui is a very sweet girl that likes to be on your lap. One of her favorite things to do is play with the water coming out of the faucet. When she wants to get away from it all, she will go to the top of her cat tree. Printers absolutely fascinate her and I've seen her stand on the controls and accidentally print a page! What a wonderful office assistant she would be. Playing with her sisters Cloe and Zoey is her favorite thing. It's so entertaining to see Maui, Cloe and Zoey interact. They truly love each other. We are hoping that the sisters will be adopted together. Are you our miracle adopter? PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). Story
DOB 07/2024 Zoey is the one who asked to be rescued. She wandered up to the people working in their yard and asked to be rescued. Who could say no to her sweet face. She came with two sisters Cloe and Zoey. After a long day at work, the Foster Mom loves to come home to three snuggly, sweet kitties --- Zoey, Cloe and Maui. Zoey is super soft and loves to play with toys and loves the cat kick toy. Zoey like to watch her foster build things in the garage, although she is not crazy about the electric saw. Their Foster Mom loves all of these girls, but they need to find a family of their own. We are hoping for a miracle -- an adopter that is willing to adopt these sisters. They absolutely love each other. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). Adoption fee.
