Tabby kittens & cats in Katy, Texas

These two lovely gals are Sassafras and Lil' Miss. They are being fostered to prevent them winding up on the streets. The circumstances of how I ended up sharing my small apartment with them is quite the tale. Sassafras and Lil' Miss are so tightly bonded that it would break my heart to break them up. Sass is the older of the two, maybe 1.5years? Miss (~1y) is either her younger sister or daughter, we don't really know. Sass is mature, quiet, patient. Miss is adventurous, curious, and playful. They both love attention and chasing toys. Sass may be semi-mute too. She doesn't vocalize when she meows. So she may get your attention in other ways (tapping with paw, or jumping on your lap for scritches. They take very good care of each other, nap, play, groom, everything. If you are able to adopt both please reach out. It would make me so very happy to know they are going to a good home. The rehoming fee will be used to buy you a bag of food and litter as a stater package.

Silver is an approximately 9-month-old sweet and calm Siamese mix. He was a stray that I took in and cared for. He is extremely quiet, easygoing, and has zero aggression. He is litter trained, up to date on parasite prevention, and has lived in a home environment. He also enjoys spending time outdoors.

Found on my backyard pregnant. We gave her food periodically and she stayed at our patio. Now has 6 kittens

Meow meow is very playful and aelf suffecient. He needs new owners who can love him like we do. He loves to be around people.

A Velcro kitty who is your shadow. Personality Harvey doesn't think there is anyone in the world who isn’t his best friend. He is so outgoing, super smart and wants to communicate. He can get frustrated if you don't understand what he wants. He would be a good candidate to be trained to use the talking buttons you see on social media. He often prefers attention from people over food. He is independent and bold, brave and affectionate. Harvey was big and muscular when he came to GNAR, but after being neutered, has slimmed down. He was very successful as an outdoor cat. Resourceful and generous with helping other cats, and sweet talking people not-so-subtly to bend to his will. He is a kitty politician. If you are a dog person, this is the cat for you. You could probably teach him tricks. He is attentive and wants you to please him : D Background Harvey and Necia were found as strays together. Outgoing Harvey showed up first outside of an industrial building where the employees started to gain his trust and feed him. Uber-friendly Harvey accepted their invitations for friendship after a short while, and soon started inviting himself inside the front door, so they decided it was probably time to look for a new home for him. After he then also brought his new girlfriend Necia to join him, everyone started worrying that there would be kittens if they didn’t do something to prevent it soon. Harvey was very protective of Necia, so they didn’t get chance to get close enough to her to see if she was also tame. Once the 2 cats started getting too bold and trying to come indoors to the office, the employee contacted GNAR to help find a home for them. So they borrowed traps, and brought them to their new foster home. Harvey continued to guard Necia, so the foster home separated them to let Necia show her true personality. Harvey also sweetened up more after he was relieved of his perceived responsibility as Necia's protector and provider. NAME: Umami Sex: Male Color/Pattern: brown tabby Breed: short Hair Age at intake: 8 weeks BDAY approx: March 26, 2024 Intake date : May 14, 2024 Description Umami is a cuddly, outgoing, affectionate, very handsome kitten. Personality Umami was confident and an extrovert the day he was found. Even though he had never been held by a human before when found at 8 weeks old, he had no problem with it. He was a bit scared for the 1st few days but as soon as you picked him up he melted into a puddle of purrs. He loves to explore and has no fear. He is very curious and is oblivious that some other animals may want to eat him. He will burst out of a doorway, run right up to a large new dog, slipping through the bars of a babygate to join the pack. Umami is talented at jumping up onto a counter to get closer to you. He is a daredevil, talker and enthusiastic eater. Patience is not his forte and he will make sure you know it. Background Umami was found in front of a house all alone after a big storm in southwest Houston on Mon May 13. His momma never came back for him. His finder brought him to a foster home who had 3 bottle baby kittens of about the same age and added him to the litter of orphans. He was just old enough to already be able to lap kitten formula for himself and eat solid food. Mira is an indoor/outdoor cat. She is 7 months old and she loves to be held. I took Mira in 2 weeks ago but I am unable to keep her due to my work/school schedule I am unable to make time for her that I need. She’s so sweet and friendly, she loves to play and nap. I would love to ensure that she goes to a good home.
