About Buttercup Buttercup is ready to find a new home and a new family she can call her own! You see, Buttercup’s owner was elderly and died suddenly. She loved her owner and spent her days sitting next to him on the couch or close by when he was sitting in his recliner. She misses his company and although she and her 2 “kitty siblings”, Radar Love and Rose Bud, were taken in by a kind cat rescuer, nothing replaces having a family of her own. Buttercup is a beautiful orange and white kitty with silky fur. She is a calm cat that will acclimate quickly to a new home. She enjoys being with her family and sitting quietly while you are watching TV, reading, or making dinner. She loves playtime and chasing the feathers on a wand through the air, but her favorite pastime is when she is pet or brushed. She is also very affectionate. Although not big on being held she does not hide, preferring to sit quietly in the room with her family. Always present, she comes running when you enter the room hoping that you want to give her the attention she deserves and a few pets or stroke of the brush – or both! Buttercup has been fully vaccinated, spayed, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She will do well with other cats, respectful children, but she has never lived with a dog. LOVES TO CUDDLE, PLAY, AND ENTERTAIN  DOB 5/18/22 Hey there, everyone! I’m Mikey, a sweet, friendly, curious, playful, and entertaining “bicolor,” which means that I'm mostly white with grey tabby on my head, back, and tail. I got my name from a 1972 Quaker Oaks “Mikey Likes It” commercial of a toddler who would “eat anything.” That’s me, and I’m not ashamed at all! There are cats starving in China, so no food should be tossed out! You see, my family moved out of their apartment and left me behind to fend for myself outside. I’m a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, so I made the best of my situation. I enjoyed climbing trees, chasing squirrels, and following folks when they walked their dogs. I assumed that an open apartment door was an invitation for me to mosey on in, and everyone adored me. Only problem was, nobody wanted to adopt a stray cat, which is what I really wanted. So “I ate anything” until my future foster meowmy decided that she wanted to foster me until she could find me my forever home with a family who’d never abandon me again. Here I am in my foster home, happy as a lark with the other kitties. I love to cuddle beside Foster Meowmy as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet, and when she heads for bed, I curl up at her feet. And boy howdy! I love to entertain my hoomans when we interactively play with feather wand-toys and laser pointers as well as when I play soccer with my crinkle balls and catnip mice. Free Willy! A quirky looking boy because of my cleft lip/nose, I’m as sweet as southern iced tea! Luckily, I’ve been checked out and am NOT special needs—I eat, play, and cuddle just fine. Cuddling and chilling on human laps are two of my specialties. Found as an orphan like the orca in the movie, Free Willy, I was quick to form a bond with my humans. ENDEARING MISCHIEF-MAKER  DOB 4/13/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Jupiter, an extremely playful and affectionate orange tabby fella who likes to jump on Foster Meowmy’s lap when she’s sitting on the toilet. I’m almost always happy to be cuddled and held like a baby with my tummy up. I’m all-boy, you know, and I can’t mess up my macho image by being too mushy and babyish. After my feral momma birthed Karma, Opal, Pluto, and me outside of Foster Meowmy’s house, she moved us to inside a neighbor’s car (through the open window, I might add). Then Meowmy moved us to a box on her porch, but when Momma saw some neighbors pick us up, she moved us a few doors down to a used-car business. Imagine Foster Meowmy’s surprise when she looked inside an old car and found not only us under the driver’s seat but also another litter of four kittens under the passenger’s seat!! She gathered up both of our stowaway litters and carefully placed us in boxes on her porch so that we could safely nurse. Our mommas continued to move us multiple times, and Foster Meowmy always managed to find us and put us back in our weaning boxes. Finally, when we were five weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home where she could care for all of us. She even was the perfect feline Florence Nightingale when she administered antibiotic ointment to some of our crusty eyes. Now that we’re fat and sassy, you can imagine the kitten mayhem that goes on inside our big foster bathroom! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I even enjoy playing with the resident two-year-old cat. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster bathroom, but Opal and I win the prize for impishness because we like to dart around to explore the whole house and not just Foster Meowmy’s bedroom.  I love to sleep in the bathroom sink because it’s my favorite “bed” when I need a little “time out” from the kitten frenzy.  I love Foster Meowmy and am so grateful that she gave me a chance at the fabulous indoor life of a pampered pet. Now I’m ready to bring my “snips-and-snails-and-puppydog-tails” boyishness and rowdy playfulness to my forever family.
