I’m a loving survivor! “My name is Marcos and I’m an adorable orange tabby with white tips on my paws. For some reason my owners abandoned me, and I was having a hard time making it on my own in the streets. My rescuers knew I wasn’t meant for that kind of life and brought me inside and got me all patched up; I had some injuries that are all healed up, now. Anyway, I’m leaving that part of my life in the rear view mirror and I’m just looking forward to my new forever family. I can be a little cautious until I get to know you, but once we’re buddies I love petting and sitting in your lap. I’m the kind of guy who enjoys some time on his own, too, so please don’t take offense. I’m somewhat of an explorer so I’ll go sniffing around the house just searching to see if I can find something or somewhere new and interesting. I can also be quite chatty and vocal; sometimes it will be to tell you about my day and other times I think it’s because I was abandoned. There are 3 other kitties in my foster home and they like to hiss at me when I come around them, but I just keep on walking and don’t pay any attention to them. I’m quite smart, too, because once I had a scratcher to use I didn’t try to scratch on the furniture again. After he then also brought his new girlfriend Necia to join him, everyone started worrying that there would be kittens if they didn’t do something to prevent it soon. Harvey was very protective of Necia, so they didn’t get chance to get close enough to her to see if she was also tame. Once the 2 cats started getting too bold and trying to come indoors to the office, the employee contacted GNAR to help find a home for them. So they borrowed traps, and brought them to their new foster home. Harvey continued to guard Necia, so the foster home separated them to let Necia show her true personality. Harvey also sweetened up more after he was relieved of his perceived responsibility as Necia's protector and provider. GOOFY, SASSY FELLA DOB 8/24/19 Howdy everyone! I’m Godzilla, a goofy, sassy, curious, and energetic brown tabby fella who’s proud of my monster-name. I may be a big boy like Godzilla, but I’m a sweet marshmallow at heart. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids. During Tropical Storm Imelda, my sister Mothra and I, the #monster-duo, were found as orphan kittens with no momma in sight. My foster mom heard my crying on a driveway, and she says that I’ve continued to let everyone know my opinions ever since. I was the runt of my litter and was bottle-fed by my foster pawrents. Boy did I love my bottle! Those “nursing” sessions ended up being a great time to bond with my humans and probably explain why I’m so sociable with people. I fit right into my foster home along with several other rescued kittens who were my same age. I have so much fun playing with my surrogate siblings. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with each other, and when we’re thoroughly exhausted from all the fun, we collapse in a kitten puddle. The three resident cats acted as my surrogate aunts and uncles who taught me everything my momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around.
