Tabby kittens & cats in Sugar Land, Texas

I got Mochi about three years ago as a kitten; he was maybe two months old then.One of my friend’s cat had babies so I decided to get him. He’s about three years old now and a very sweet cat. He kind of just lounges around, eats and wants pets. We would love for him to find a home with owners that are willing to work with him and are patient. The issue we are having with him is getting him to consistently use his litter box. He was doing well for a season, but we aren’t sure why he’s now having difficulties again using his litter box.

TeeToo is a beautiful light yellow brown tabby with lovely green eyes and a ringed tail. A foster found Teetoo with his brother Chuckie when they were about 6 months old and now they are about 1.5 years old. He loves people, other cats and dogs. He loves to cuddle and likes tummy rubs. TeeToo is basically a lazy couch potato and enjoys looking out the windows to watch birds and squirrels. Chuckie is truely charming - he stands on his back legs and stretches for you to pick him up. He is striped, super vocal kitty, about 1.5 years old and is a brother to TeeToo (see him on this site also). He is loving and a real sweetheart like his brother. Chuckie is forever floping down on his back for tummy rubs. He is a big baby and very laid-back. He also loves people, other cats and dogs. Both boys would love to be together - so think about it! They are not much trouble, kind of lazy and like to sleep together, watch out the windows for birds and squirrels and mostly just be with their humans. Outgoing Harvey showed up first outside of an industrial building where the employees started to gain his trust and feed him. Uber-friendly Harvey accepted their invitations for friendship after a short while, and soon started inviting himself inside the front door, so they decided it was probably time to look for a new home for him. After he then also brought his new girlfriend Necia to join him, everyone started worrying that there would be kittens if they didn’t do something to prevent it soon. Harvey was very protective of Necia, so they didn’t get chance to get close enough to her to see if she was also tame. Once the 2 cats started getting too bold and trying to come indoors to the office, the employee contacted GNAR to help find a home for them. So they borrowed traps, and brought them to their new foster home. Harvey continued to guard Necia, so the foster home separated them to let Necia show her true personality. Harvey also sweetened up more after he was relieved of his perceived responsibility as Necia's protector and provider. NAME: Umami Sex: Male Color/Pattern: brown tabby Breed: short Hair Age at intake: 8 weeks BDAY approx: March 26, 2024 Intake date : May 14, 2024 Description Umami is a cuddly, outgoing, affectionate, very handsome kitten. Personality Umami was confident and an extrovert the day he was found. Even though he had never been held by a human before when found at 8 weeks old, he had no problem with it. He was a bit scared for the 1st few days but as soon as you picked him up he melted into a puddle of purrs. He loves to explore and has no fear. He is very curious and is oblivious that some other animals may want to eat him. He will burst out of a doorway, run right up to a large new dog, slipping through the bars of a babygate to join the pack. Umami is talented at jumping up onto a counter to get closer to you. He is a daredevil, talker and enthusiastic eater. Patience is not his forte and he will make sure you know it. Background Umami was found in front of a house all alone after a big storm in southwest Houston on Mon May 13. His momma never came back for him. His finder brought him to a foster home who had 3 bottle baby kittens of about the same age and added him to the litter of orphans. He was just old enough to already be able to lap kitten formula for himself and eat solid food. This sweet tabby was born to my neighbor's outdoor-only cat in their garage. He did not claim the kittens and left Selkie and her littermates homeless. I took her in and got her spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. I named her Selkie after the Scottish mythical seals that could shed their skin to join the human world. She's a lap cat who loves chin scratches and playing with cat wands. She's also a climber and loves to explore. This regal girl is full of curiosity and affection. She'd do best as the only cat or in-door/outdoor. Selkie seems friendly towards other animals, but my cats bullied her. She used to mark her room in my house. When I got her a spot in great shelter, she began peeing again. They filed her as unadoptable and returned her. Her litterbox issues are from stress. She stops when she feels safe. It won't last. She doesn't mark here anymore and only needs about a month to settle into a new home. I'll always take her back if she doesn't. Please give her a chance.
