Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Maesil❤️ Maesil was brought to the Jeonju City Shelter, but her health quickly deteriorated. When the Adogs team visited a hospital, they found Maesil too weak to stand. She was in urgent need of care, so they rescued her immediately. * With People: Is shy around strangers. Sniffs when someone unfamiliar enters her space but runs away if they give her attention. However, once she gets to know you, she becomes affectionate, wagging her tail and asking for cuddles. * With Dogs: Likes canine friends so much that she sometimes misunderstands their barking of hate as signs of favor. Tends to like playing tag with friends. * With Cats: Does well with cats. Approaches and wants to play, as if they were dogs. * Separation Anxiety: Is independent and can be left alone without issues. Mostly spends her time sleeping or wandering around the home carrying around a toy. Also stays well with another dog when her guardian is away. * Potty Training: Fully trained to use pee pads indoors! Has a slight preference for outdoor potty. * Hygiene: Walks around in the shower booth, but she gets through baths. Must be held when drying her fur since she’s afraid of blow dryers. Does well with brushing and nail trimming. * Walks: Has improved a lot for leash pulling. However, becomes anxious when she hears loud noises from cars or motorcycles pass by. Likes birds and tries to chase them during walks, but quickly comes back and walks normally. Does well in familiar places but is still uncomfortable with new places. Is being introduced to a wider range of walking spots gradually. * Car Sickness: No symptoms of motion sickness anymore! Is scared if put into a toddler’s car seat. 💌Special Notes💌 * As a puppy, she may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling, and barking. * It is difficult to predict her hair loss and growth size because her parents are unknown. * Has already mastered several commands such as “sit,” "left paw," "right paw" and "lie down." * Has a timid personality. May bare her teeth or slightly nip in scary situations like getting shots at the vet’s. * Is teething so she likes biting wood sticks and frequently carries toys around. * Has a strong appetite, so when other dogs approach while she’s eating, she growls and becomes defensive. Needs to be fed separately from other dogs. * Barks at external noises, so she is taking training. * Tends to eat quickly, so she’s currently using a slow feeder. * May get startled by loud noises like the sound of suitcases or carts being pulled, or when objects fall. * Stays calm and well-behaved inside a travel bag. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @_adogs_maesil

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Binnie🤍 * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. * With People: Likes people but can be shy at first. Once familiar, he becomes full of energy and affection! Even with familiar people, he may show defensive nipping if approached suddenly or his personal space is invaded—he’s in training for this. It’s best to let Binnie come to you first. * With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them to greet but he is polite enough to respond to greetings. Had some defensive reactions to sudden approaches in the past but he is improving as he meets more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Barely any. Mostly rests napping or sometimes plays balls when alone. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Superstar! Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Sometimes reacts to loud sounds like motorcycles, but has shown great improvement. Even calmly crosses streets with awareness. May bark defensively if someone suddenly runs toward him. * Car Sickness: No motion sickness; relaxes well during rides. 💌Special Notes💌 * Knows many commands: “Sit, Down, Paw, Other Paw, Nose, High-five, and Kiss.” * Barks and may show defensive nibbling when strangers visit the home or a stranger suddenly reaches out his/her hand to him—training is ongoing. * Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he’s carried when needed. ❗Health Condition❗ * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. FOSTER'S IG : @imbo_family_

Story
Animal Profile: Tank is estimated to be around 8 years old and weighs about 15lbs. He was surrendered to RASKC when his owner passed away. He we very confused and stressed out in a shelter environment, so the shelter coordinator reached out to see if we could help. We could see that Tank was nervous and needed some time to decompress after going through such a dramatic life change. We look forward to getting to know him in foster care and matching him with a new family for life. Foster Update: Meet Tank! This sweet boy has gone through some stressful life changes, but he is making great strides and getting settled into foster care. Tank's foster mom shares, "Tank (we've been calling him Hank) is a fun little guy. He is nervous when meeting new people but adjusts quickly. We are taking him out daily to get him used to the sights and sounds of people and other animals. He does really well in the house, no barking, loves his crate and plays with our resident dog. He has been ignoring  our cat. We feel he could do well with a canine companion, or as a single dog." Because Hank is uncomfortable with hands reaching out to him, he will need to be in an adult-only home. We'll continue to post more info as Hank settles in! Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Animal History: Tank was surrendered to Regional Animal Services of King County in February, and arrived in our care on 02/25/25. He will be available for adoption after evaluation foster care. Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-applicationMarch 31, 2025, 4:24 am

Story
Animal Profile: Chester is an estimated 6-year-old, 7.8 lb male Chihuahua who was found as a stray in Louisiana and transferred to the Pacific Northwest for a second chance at life. He is a gentle, affectionate, and resilient little dog who thrives on companionship and forms strong bonds with his humans. Foster Update: Chester is a sweet and expressive companion who is quickly settling into foster care. While initially described as more sedentary, his foster has found that he enjoys longer nature walks and does well staying close to heel. He is especially food-motivated, which makes reinforcing good leash manners a breeze. As a likely "fair weather" walker, he may prefer to skip the rain, but he’s happy to be out and about when skies are clear. He’s playful and joyful with toys—he loves fetch and is learning the joys of a good squeaker. Chester also rides nicely in the car and is getting used to being secured with a car harness for safety. He is making steady progress with crate training and can now spend time alone during the day. Chester is also improving with house training and is learning quickly with consistent routines. Chester would do well in a home with adults and/or children, and he appears to have experience living with people—perhaps even a senior individual, based on his calm and affectionate demeanor. He is friendly with both men and women and often chooses a favorite person to follow loyally from room to room. While he can coexist with other dogs, Chester has shown some resource guarding behaviors around high-value items, so any canine introductions should be done thoughtfully. He could also thrive as the only dog in a calm, loving household. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Story
Animal Profile: Tate is an adorable ~2-3 year old, 8 lb chihuahua/spaniel mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in CA along with his buddy, Tyler. Both dogs were seen tail wagging and accepting pets/affection in their shelter video, and they arrived in the Seattle area on Sunday, March 16. Tate seems to be the more shy pup of the duo, and would benefit from a canine companion in his foster home. Foster Update: Meet Tate, aka Tater Tot! This sweet, adorable boy has getting settled into foster care and is eager to find a loving forever family of his own. Tate has taken a few weeks to settle in, but that’s understandable given his journey. He does great in his crate and even prefers to sleep there at night. He's fully house trained with no issues. While he didn't have experience on leash before he arrived with us, he is now doing pretty well! He is getting more curious to explore outside, and having another dog on his walks has helped him get more comfortable. He can get spooked by loud noises or people, but every day he’s improving. He may have initial ‘stranger danger’ upon meeting someone, especially men, so we ask that his forever family go slow and be patient. Once he warms up to you, he’s all kisses and wants belly rubs. Tater Tot would enjoy a canine companion to help show him the ropes (though he can be pushy when seeking affection, so a tolerant dog is preferred) but he would do okay as the only dog, so long as his humans can help meet his needs with growing his confidence. Tate can be vocal when excited and we are working on him not jumping up when he’s excited. All around, he’s just the sweetest little Tater Tot! Tate would do best in an adult-only home with adopters that are comfortable being patient as he settles in, and committed to continuing to help this guy grow his confidence.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate.
