Meet Binnie🤍 💙 Binnie’s Update Account: @imbo_family_ 1.) Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. 2.) Rescue Story * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space at the Adogs center. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Acts cute and shows a lot of energy around familiar people. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them first to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs on walks. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but has improved a lot after meeting more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Does very well when left alone at home and rests! When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks at or sniffs them. When with his foster parent’s mother and another stranger, he growls and is wary of the stranger if they approach the mother. Gets trained and corrected when his foster parent is with him. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Doesn’t get surprised by motorcycles or the sounds of cars. Looks around and is relaxed on walks. * Car Sickness: Rests well in a car without motion sickness. * Barks and may show defensive biting when strangers who visit the home or strangers on walks suddenly reach out their hands to him. Doesn’t like his territory being intruded upon and sometimes nips in such situations. Is getting constant training to fix it. * If a person runs in Binnie’s direction from afar, he sometimes barks defensively. * Likes walking, playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Is sensitive around his belly, so it is recommended to pet the area softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he is still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Voight is a tough and lucky guy.   Born around April 2025, this 7.6-pound male chihuahua was scheduled to arrive at the shelter as part of a seizure of dogs from a challenging living situation. While he was being unloaded, he escaped and spent the next five days running the countryside.  He was finally trapped when he got hungry.  Turns out he is quite the friendly little man.  He just wanted an adventure.  He learned the error of his ways and has decided he likes getting his meals on time and sleeping in a warm bed.  This handsome boy is looking for a patient and loving family who can help him continue to build his confidence and show him the world is a wonderful place.
