Story
We got chikis after a family member abandoned her with us. At first we were just fostering her but we have had her now for a few years. We can no longer care for her as she deserves. She is an amazing baby girl, she is very shy and quiet, but very sweet and playful, loves children. She rarely barks and is house trained

Story
Animal Profile: Hugo is a 2-year-old, 13-pound Rat Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a small frame! This cheerful little guy is full of spunk and loves to play, whether it’s with big dogs, small dogs, or anyone ready for some fun. Sadly, Hugo found himself at risk in an overcrowded shelter simply because there wasn’t enough space. But despite it all, he never lost his happy spirit or wagging tail. His playful energy and friendly nature shine through in every interaction. Foster Update:  This spirited 2-year-old Rat Terrier mix joined our rescue last November and has been making impressive progress ever since. Early on, Hugo showed some bitey behaviors around handling and resources he wasn’t ready to share, but with the help of a dedicated foster team and professional training, he’s come a long way. Hugo has spent several months working with a balanced trainer and has really thrived. He loves learning, enjoys training sessions, and is always up for playtime. He’s an active, outgoing little guy who would do best with someone who can continue to engage both his body and mind. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and rides well in the car. Hugo can be a bit vocal when he gets excited and definitely has a touch of FOMO, he likes to be part of the action! He warms up quickly to new people and enjoys making new friends. Hugo is looking for an adult-only home with experienced dog owners who understand how to provide structure and consistency. To set everyone up for success, his trainer will offer a go-home lesson and follow-up support to help ease the transition. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus shelter in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on 11/13 via START. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 17, 2026, 4:18 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Chimenea! If I had to describe myself, I would say I am funny, playful, and happy. I love going for walks, playing with stuffed toys, running, and even car rides. I dream of finding a home where I get lots of love, regular walks, and maybe even a friendly female dog as a companion. I do best in a home without small children, and I am ready to give all my love to the right family. I was rescued after wandering the streets for many days.I have lots of energy and love to give, I would be a perfect family dog who gives me lots of time and playtime. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Welcome Tova to CCPAL Rescue. Tova is a Rat Terrier from the local breeder in Texas. She is a rare blue Rat Terrier. She was born on March 12, 2026. She will be getting her vaccinations, spayed, dewormed and ready for her forever home. She will be a small dog full grown. 15 pounds or less. The breeder is closing shop due to an illness. We have agreed to help get her population down starting with the puppies. This breed is smart, loyal and the puppies are affectionate. Someone who knows this breed would be best. They are energetic so a moderately active family or more active would be best for the Rat Terrier. Kota would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rat Terriers are great family pets and watchdogs for their family. Their training is easier due to their intelligence and a light touch is needed. They are a wonderfully sensitive breed and from experience want to do what you are asking. Tova is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We have an entire litter of Rat Terriers. They are from a breeder. We don’t have papers but they are considered pure bred pups. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video

Story
Lola is my name. I love all and want to be friends with everyone. I am mischievous and will get into trouble just for the attention. I am still very young and eager to explore new things. I want a loving family who will take me on adventures, then love on me while winding down. I don't like it when you focus on other dogs and sometimes I push them out of the way so I can be the center of attention! I have the sweetest face and my "love to be with you" attitude is the best kind to have! I am a medium sized girl and that makes me super PORTABLE! Take me with you to the beach, the mountains, the BATHROOM... I don't care where we go, as long as you take me with you!! I'm a energetic and driven girl with a strong prey drive, particularly chickens, birds, small animals and cats. I'll need a home without these types of pets to ensure everyone's safety. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Benji is a sweet little guy with a gentle soul. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, his loving personality quickly shines through. Before coming to the rescue, Benji lived life outdoors and had some hair loss, but now he’s on the mend—his scruffy coat is growing back in, and it just adds to his charm! He’s currently learning all the good stuff about being a spoiled house pup, like walking on a leash and discovering how amazing beds and toys can be. If you have a soft spot for scruffy, adorable boys and a heart for helping a pup continue to blossom, Benji is ready to find his forever home and be your loyal little companion Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Falcor: A 12 lb one year old Never Ending Snuggle Buddy. Yes his name is Falcor like the luck dragon…no he cannot fly. He will though steal your heart in about 3.7 seconds. This adorable wire haired terrier comes equipped with the most ridiculous tiny human lips and nose you’ve ever seen. Seriously, He looks like he borrowed them from a tiny retired accountant :). Add in his gorgeous soulful hazel eyes and you’ve got a face that should probably be regulated by the govt. Falcor’s hobbies include giving full on neck hugs, delivering kisses, playing with all the toys, making friends with everyone, and staring into your soul for treats and taxes on whatever you’re eating. He is GREAT with all the dogs, cats, kittens, kids… even annoying ones..strangers he can take a few mins to warm up. Hand him a treat and give him a min…he’ll be your BFF. He is crate trained, walks on a leash like a dream, working hard on potty training and nearly there. All Falcor wants is lots of love, hugs, toys ,and to be part of your Never Ending Story. ….well okay, and treats. He really enjoys treats and chew bones, and toys… 🎵 “ Turn around….look at what you see…” 🎶 ….prob Falcore waiting for a treat. Falcor actually is the perfect little dog. He is friendly, happy, great with everyone, easily trained and so affectionate. Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area.
