Story
Add a little spice to your life with this active young hound boy! Mustard is engaging and friendly; he's very gentle when being petted but can be enthusiastic and jumpy when stimulated by new people and dogs. Dogs? He loves them all, big and small. He's going to be a great companion and would probably do best with older children. Mustard came to us from a rural shelter in Murray County, Geogia. He's about 2 yrs old and weighs about 55 lbs. Mustard will arrive in late July. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Story
Dorothy is a beautiful young hound, approximately 2 years old and 45 pounds, with a playful spirit who's still waiting for her forever family. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she learns to trust you, she's all about soaking up attention—and mealtime is definitely her favorite part of the day! This energetic girl would thrive with an active family and a large, securely fenced yard where she can safely run, explore, and let out her signature hound voice. Dorothy is doing well with housebreaking at her foster home. She's been pretty calm and gets along with the resident coonhound. If you have the time, patience, and love to help Dorothy become the amazing dog she's meant to be, shed love to meet you. Dorothy is fostering on Cape Cod and is ready for visits. Story
💖 Meet Lydia: Ready for Her Quiet, Devoted Forever Home Lydia is a stunning 3-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix with a heart shaped by resilience and a deep capacity for love. Found abandoned in a Florida dumpster with her brother, Lydia has spent far too long moving from one temporary situation to another. Now, she’s truly ready for what she’s always deserved—a stable, loving home where she can finally exhale and feel safe. Lydia thrives in a calm, secure environment and is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who understands that trust takes time. She may be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she blossoms into a deeply loyal and devoted companion. The bond she forms is special—quiet, steady, and incredibly rewarding. Currently, Lydia is participating in training, and she is absolutely shining. Her trainers are continually impressed by her intelligence and growing confidence. She’s learning valuable life skills, walking nicely on a loose leash, staying focused on her handler even around distractions, and excelling on field trips. With each session, her confidence continues to grow—she’s truly one smart cookie! Lydia is ready to prove that the dogs who’ve been through the most often love the hardest. Give this deserving hound the chance she’s been waiting for, and you’ll gain a loyal best friend for life. 🐾💖
