Jed is a 1 yr old Treeing Walker Coonhound from West Virginia. He's a typical young hound with plenty of energy - he loves to run and play. Jed is good around other dogs. He can be a little tentative when meeting new people but he warms up quickly and then enjoys some attention. With a little time and TLC, he'll blossom into a wonderful hound companion. Jed is 50 lbs and will arrive in late October. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. Read ‘Is a Coonhound Right for You’. If you'd like to apply, our application is available at the link above. Once we review your application one of our Adoption Counselors will be in touch to review it with you. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.

But don’t let that fool you—it doesn’t slow him down or affect his happiness one bit! Koda is resilient, joyful, and more than ready for the happy ending he deserves. ❤️ Koda is truly just a really good boy. He is sweet, affectionate, and loves attention. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but he’s also perfectly content to relax and be wonderfully chill. Whether he’s hanging out with his canine friends or soaking up one-on-one love, Koda is happiest when he’s with his people. And, of course, Koda is a hound—which means he comes with a big, beautiful voice! His bark makes an appearance when he gets excited, and it’s just part of his charming hound personality. He also takes to training easily and is eager to learn, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys helping a dog continue to grow and thrive. After all Koda has overcome, he deserves a family who will see what a special boy he is and give him the love, patience, and forever home he’s been waiting for. Pepsi is a neutered Treeing Walker Coonhound mix born on 10/30/23. He is a 65 lb bundle of love with the most beautiful hazel eyes. He's playful, affectionate, friendly, laid back and loves his toys. He likes to play with dogs his size or bigger after a proper introduction to a new companion. He loves the AC and sitting on the couch or bed watching TV. He can jump a 4 ft fence to be with his foster friends so proper containment should be high enough and reinforced at the bottom. He likes to go for car rides and loves to snuggle up with his doggie friends. Pepsi is potty trained, crate trained, and doggie door trained. He's doing well with leash training, still pulls like a typical hound puppy so needs some help walking on leash. Pepsi loves his family time and wants to be your best friend forever! Adoption fee $50. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. Toast may be 10 years old, but don’t let her age fool you—this little Dachshund/Beagle mix still has plenty of spunk, personality, and opinions!Toast recently went through quite a lot. She had a full-mouth dental, was spayed, and had several mammary masses removed. Unfortunately, the masses were malignant, and because of her cancer diagnosis, Toast is now looking for a special hospice home where she can spend her time surrounded by comfort, love, and all the little things that make a dog happy.And Toast has made it very clear that she would prefer to be the only dog in the household. She doesn`t particularly enjoy sharing her space with other canine roommates, and honestly, at this stage of life, we think she deserves to be a little spoiled. What Toast does want is a person of her very own. Someone who will give her a cozy bed, tasty snacks, gentle companionship, and plenty of attention. She may be a senior, but she still has a playful, lively spirit and isn`t ready to sit quietly on the sidelines! She love, Love, LOVES her walks and would really like to live with someone who is home a lot and loves to curl up early at night.Toast`s hospice family will need to be comfortable monitoring her quality of life and working with their veterinarian as her needs change. Hospice isn`t about giving up—it`s about making sure Toast is comfortable, loved, and able to enjoy her good days for as long as possible. Veterinary hospice care focuses on comfort, symptom management, and quality of life for pets for however much time they may have.Toast has already been through enough changes. Now she`s looking for the best one yet: a home to call her own.If you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for a spunky little senior who would love to be your one and only, Toast is waiting.Toast is waiting for her new family in a foster home.
