Around 60 pounds of love and sweetness, Kahlua lives for sunshine, breezes, rustling leaves, and long, thoughtful walks. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t rush through life—he notices everything, appreciates the little things, and reminds you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Kahlua has impeccable manners. Need to tie your shoe? He’ll stop and wait. Collar slips off? He’ll walk right over so you can fix it. He listens beautifully and truly wants to please his person. He also has a fun side—he loves squeaky toys, playing fetch (sharing the ball is a work in progress!), giving kisses, and being tucked in under cozy blankets like the pampered hound he is. This boy is also a lake and boat enthusiast—a true water bug who will happily join you for every lakeside adventure. He grew up with other dogs and prefers being the “big guy,” doing well with respectful smaller dogs or calmer companions. Solo walks? He’s relaxed and steady. With bigger, energetic dogs? Most of his life was spent on chain until being rescued in December 2022. He is NOT a trained hunting dog. Overall, he is a great dog and could make a great addition to any family! He’s great with all aged children, behaves well with most dogs, and is good with cats. Cooter is fully housebroken, loves to snuggle, and has lots of personality! JuneBug is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
