Story
Booger is 3 year old hound mix with lots of energy and lots of love in his heart. He loves walks, running around and would love to snuggle with you. We originally got him from a friend in California when her dog had puppies. We want Booger to go to a loving home with someone who can help him become the best dog he can be. He would thrive in a home with other big dogs, and one with a large yard to run and play in. He is fine with our cat, but I would use caution with smaller pets around him (he isn’t exactly gentle). Please let me know if you have any questions about Booger.

Story
My husband and I adopted Bean when he was 2 and 1/2 years old in 2019. He is very loud and energetic. He needs a lot of exercise and mental stimulation which unfortunately he isn’t getting at home. He also has some ligament problems in his front legs. We are also going to get his back legs checked out. He currently takes anxiety medication too. He’s not supposed to be exercising right now so it’s been even harder from him. We have a toddler and unfortunately he causes Bean extreme anxiety and I don’t think it’s safe for either of them to always be around each other. I think he’d be best in a home with no children. He does ok with most dogs if introduced correctly. He does well with our cat but barks at all other cats. He also has a nervous humping problem with strangers, especially men. He would do better in a home with only women. He may have a microchip but it is not activated. He is about 8 years old.

Story
Welcome Reba to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Greyhound mix dog. She weighs about 65 pounds and is long and leggy. She is a great dog and would make a good running, jogging or walking companion. She has long legs so she could keep stride. She has tons of energy so she would be best with an athletic and active family. She could go with children. She is active so 8 or up would be best. Her best home would be with a fenced yard and time to finish off her training. She was probably gotten as a puppy and put in the backyard. She now is dog sized but has puppy skills. She is a wonderful dog and with some training will make a wonderful family pet. She was rescued from one of the local high kill shelters that are over flowing and asking for help. CCPAL stepped up for her. She is healthy, vaccinated and will be spayed before she leaves the Rescue. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
