Story
Welcome Reba to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Greyhound mix dog. She weighs about 65 pounds and is long and leggy. She is a great dog and would make a good running, jogging or walking companion. She has long legs so she could keep stride. She has tons of energy so she would be best with an athletic and active family. She could go with children. She is active so 8 or up would be best. Her best home would be with a fenced yard and time to finish off her training. She was probably gotten as a puppy and put in the backyard. She now is dog sized but has puppy skills. She is a wonderful dog and with some training will make a wonderful family pet. She was rescued from one of the local high kill shelters that are over flowing and asking for help. CCPAL stepped up for her. She is healthy, vaccinated and will be spayed before she leaves the Rescue. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Story
Lily is a mix of freeing walker, Chesapeake bay retriever, blue tick, Brittney, and Harrier, and you can tell! She loves to be outside exploring, she loves the water, hiking, chasing birds and chasing the ball. If you have a large garden that is constantly under pressure from pests, she will do a wonderful job keeping them at bay. She is silly, sweet, communicative, incredibly athletic and has undergone a lot of training. She loves to be let off leash in isolated areas provided you have an e-collar and know how to use it (we would donate hers to you) or potentially if you do a lot of training, but she is a hound and has the focus of one. She also loves to swim and play fetch in the water. Lily is on medication to help her manage anxiety, that was mostly centered around being overstimulated on walks and at home. She can coexist with other dogs as long as they have an even temperament, but she does not like dog parks unless they aren't very crowded.

He’s the kind of pup who wants to be wherever you are—especially if there’s a blanket involved (cold weather is not his thing). • 2 years old and full of gentle charm • Fully house trained • Walks nicely on a leash • Knows his basic obedience • Friendly with dogs and cats • Wonderful with kids • Dislikes cold weather (professional blanket thief) • Expert-level cuddler and lap snuggler He’s affectionate, easygoing, and happiest when he’s warm, loved, and curled up next to his favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with Beagle ears and a cuddle quota, this boy is ready to steal your heart.
