Aspen is simply stunning. Piercing hazel green eyes, soft silky blonde coat. He loves everyone, great with children and other dogs. He was found as a stray and was so shy at first he would just hide. It took some time for him to come out of his shell and now he’s just the opposite. He loves people, great with everyone she meets dog he meets and is simply amazing 1 yr old 74 lbs Aspen is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Story
Hulk Hogan is about 4 months old and ready for a home to call his very own! This little fellow loves to play with other pups and LOVES all the nice humans that he meets. He'll be a fun addition to any loving home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Glenn Dale is a sweet and loving big country boy. He likes nothing better than shaking your hand and getting some loving ear scratches. Those big amber eyes will steal your heart. He loves people and other dogs, especially if they are as easy-going as he is, and they want to play. This big lug is crate-trained and will happily spend the night on a soft bed inside his kennel. He is very devoted and will follow you like a shadow. He needs a home that doesn't have chickens or cats, he gets a little too excited around them.

Story
The first thing you need to know about Lester Pear is his love for his people. Once he opens up, it's game over and before you know it he's the best morning wake up call and the sweetest greeting when you get home. He will snuggle with you all day if you let him and enjoys hanging out in the back yard with you too. He’s your future porch hang out buddy! Watch his video and call in love with this sweet soul: https://youtu.be/yx0y-fuzUd0?si=yoXC6O8idLaJGpY- Lester Pear is believed to be a Weimaraner/lab mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 54 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Lester is more than just his handsome good looks, soft as butter ears, and sweet personality, He is so loving and loyal to his people. He creates deep bonds with his person and we love him for that although it’s not immediate. Connections with Lester are more of a slow burn that require patience, consistency, and understanding. One of the best ways to create that bond with Lester is simply by spending quality time with him and giving him time to learn his new home. You'll see him taking baby steps into new rooms, taking a look around, roaming, exploring, and observing everything around him. Before you know it, he has his favorite spots (aka the couch), knows his routine, and has his favorite doggy friend and/or human. If you like people watching, so does Lester. Haha, that is the best way to describe how he acts when he goes to a new environment. Lester is simply careful and thoughtful in new environments. Lester is very dog friendly and is currently fostered with 2 other large breed dogs. At one point, his foster mom had 2 other foster dogs rotated throughout the home and did great with them as well. His initial shyness can be seen when meeting new dogs just the way it is with people and once he gets to his forever home, he will need some time to get settled into his new environment but once that initial shyness has passed, he is such a playful and silly guy with other dogs. In his foster home, he will play play play when play is initiated but he also knows when it's time to relax and take a nap. He is very respectful around the other dogs in his foster home that aren't interested in playing too. He has a gentle play style and is good about matching energies. Lester has also shown to be respectful around small dog dogs too. You'll see in Lester’s video how the little scruffy dog was running around, moving all over the place, getting all up in his space, and he was completely un-phased by it all. When it comes to the "type" of dog that Lester would do best with in a home, there are a lot of options for him in that regard. He can live in a home with another medium energy playful dog, can live in a multi-dog home, and can live with a dog that isn't overly interested in playing. He shares toys and treats beautifully with other dogs as well. We do believe that Lester will be happiest in a home with a dog that is a playful happy medium energy dog like himself. When it comes to feline friends, Lester is very cat friendly and is very respectful around them. He did great when he met our house cat Biggie, wasn’t phased when Biggie was running around, jumping on the couch, getting all up in his face, or any of the things that cats typically do. He just sat there completely unbothered simply observing and watching. Lester is also currently fostered in a home with a cat and he has the same interactions with his foster’s cat. Lester is the perfect mix of playful and calm. He is the best of both worlds. If you're someone that works from home, Lester will be perfectly content settling on the floor next to your feet, keeping quiet, never getting into things he shouldn't be and will occasionally look up at you or rest his head on your leg nuzzling into you for affection. Almost as if he knew you needed a 5 min breather from your computer. On the other hand, he has a playful silly side to him as well. He loves to play with toys and has the absolute best time tossing them up in the air for him to catch and balls are his absolute favorite! He also really enjoys being outside, going on leisurely walks throughout the neighborhood, porch sitting with his foster mom, and romping around in the backyard with his doggy friends. Lester thrives in homes that enjoy those simple moments in life and are not overly concerned with being the party house in the neighborhood. He is already crate trained and potty trained as well. He’s a good boy that is one of a kind, who is deserving of a home to call his own. We are willing to test Lester Pear with anything you need to ensure it's a perfect match. Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Peanut, a one-year-old Weimaraner mix lovingly nicknamed Little Boy, who has a quiet charm and a personality all his own. Peanut is a handsome chocolate brown boy with soft floppy ears and stunning amber eyes that seem to say exactly what he’s thinking. He’s both dog- and people-friendly, but if he had to choose, he’d pick a human cuddle buddy every time. Couch naps are serious business for Peanut. If you’re sitting anywhere other than the couch, he’ll look at you with the saddest eyes and make little noises until you join him, at which point he’ll hop up, press against you, and settle in for a perfectly content snooze. Peanut is house trained and crate trained, and when left alone for four to eight hours he relaxes comfortably in his crate. He does well with other dogs in the 30–70 pound range, though he prefers to play rough right from the start and not all dogs appreciate his enthusiastic style. He can also be a bit grumbly if another dog disturbs his nap, but he has never snapped or shown aggression. He’s good with older children, especially tweens and teens, but younger kids or runners can excite him and cause him to jump, so supervision and structure are important. This sweet boy has a sensitive stomach and does best on low-ingredient food, treats, and chews. He enjoys walks and gets very excited to be out and about, though he does pull and does best wearing a harness. At parks, a shorter leash is recommended since he may jump toward runners or kids playing ball. Peanut enjoys car rides too and will serenade you with little noises until he eventually settles in. Being on the smaller side, he does need a boost getting into the car. Peanut loves toys he can pounce on, especially squeaky toys and balls, though squeakies without stuffing are best since he tends to eat the floof. He also enjoys chews and a good game of tug-of-war. He’s perfectly happy playing on his own, but he also enjoys interactive play and will happily chase another dog along a fence line. In the evenings, he’s an old soul and usually puts himself to bed by 9 p.m. He knows commands like “get in your box” and “no,” and he’s currently working on sit and shake. Peanut is a true character with endlessly endearing habits. He sleeps belly-up, chases bubbles, butterflies, and even a laser pointer, and sometimes blows bubbles in his water bowl just for fun. He may not wag his tail often, but he shows love in subtle, meaningful ways through expressive looks, gentle sounds, and his insistence that you sit with him on the couch. Peanut would do well traveling on a multi-day transport to his new home, as he may vocalize at first but will settle with time. If Peanut could say one thing, it would be simple and heartfelt: sit with me on the couch so I can take a nap. He’s ready to find a home that appreciates his unique personality, gentle companionship, and quiet devotion. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
