Story
Aspen is simply stunning. Piercing hazel green eyes, soft silky blonde coat. He loves everyone, great with children and other dogs. He was found as a stray and was so shy at first he would just hide. It took some time for him to come out of his shell and now he’s just the opposite. He loves people, great with everyone she meets dog he meets and is simply amazing 1 yr old 74 lbs Aspen is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Chestnut is about 12 weeks old and ready for a home to call her very own! This little snuggler is super friendly and social. She'll be the perfect addition to any loving home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Story
Camo came home to us in Nov 2024 at 11 months old. He had a tough go of it in Mississippi, where he came from. He was abandoned as a puppy by a shelter and then lived at the shelter for 6 months. He’s a sweet dog who needs to be exercised a lot. He knows basic commands. Sit, paw, down, up. Very smart. Can learn many more. He is very attached. Stays in crate during day. We are not allowed to have pit bull on insurance policy.

Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting! We look forward to helping you adopt your next companion animal. All dogs and cats are fostered in volunteer homes with working families, kids and teenagers, other dogs and sometimes cats too. When your application is approved, we put you in touch with the foster for FaceTime so you can see your puppy in real time and ask questions. It's a process that's worked for hundreds of dogs over the past fifteen years. We start crate training puppies about ten weeks and send our crate training sheet with every adoption. A fence is not required to adopt a puppy. All dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption. Spayed/neutered, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormed, parasite prevention. Any medical issue that was treated is fully disclosed. All dogs come with medical records. There is lots of room to write on the application. Please tell us about yourself, and your pets, current or previous. Skye's mom is a purebred Weimaraner, dad was a mixed breed traveling salesman. Mom dog is spayed now. We have better pictures of her we can text if you adopt. Skye is 10 weeks old and about 12 lbs. We expect her to grow to a medium sized dog. She lives in a foster home with a working couple, adult dogs, and several cats. She also lives with two other puppies. She's doing wonderful on her house training. This litter will transport to their adopters 3/26-3/28. Transportation is included in the total adoption fee. We have to pay for every animal that we send North on Transport. We do not own the van or the service. $345 adoption $175 transport $65 health certificate from Vet. _______ Total investment for a healthy vetted pet. $585 Serious adopters should fill out the application online and we'll be in touch in a day or two. We prefer a vet reference, current or previous, to adopt a puppy. Copy and paste the link into your browser. https://form.jotform.com/212574701956157 Thank you!
