Ruby is a beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever mix with a glossy, rich coat and warm, expressive eyes that light up with a big, happy smile. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on August 6th, after previously being adopted to serve as an emotional support dog for a child, a placement that did not work out due to her high energy level not being the right fit for that particular need. At 9 months old, Ruby still has plenty of growing ahead of her before reaching her estimated adult weight of 50 to 60 pounds.
Ruby is sweet and playful, with an energetic spirit that makes her a wonderful match for an active household or an adopter looking for a spirited companion to join them on walks and adventures. She is very good on a leash and sits nicely when asked, showing off a solid foundation of training alongside her fun-loving nature.
She is house trained, good with children, dog friendly, and cat friendly, making her a versatile fit for a variety of homes. Ruby's playful energy is simply a sign of a young, healthy pup with plenty of love and enthusiasm to give - qualities that will make her a wonderful, engaging companion in the right home.
At 9 months old, Ruby has so much of her puppyhood still ahead of her, along with all the joy and companionship she has to offer. She is waiting in Kennel #51 with that beautiful chocolate coat and playful spirit, ready for the home and the family who will give her the loving, active life she deserves.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
