He is very intelligent and loves having something to do, whether its learning, exploring, or staying busy by your side. He thrives on movementplaying, exploring, or sticking close to his people for whatever comes next. Sounder does have some anxiety and thrives best in a patient, understanding home that can help him feel safe and secure. He currently takes CBD to help manage his anxiety, along with medication for seizures, and does well with a consistent routine. He will need a secure fence and LOTS of space to run and stretch his legs. Despite his challenges, Sounder is full of love, loyalty, and spirit, and hes looking for someone who will love him just the way he is. This lovely lady is Chelsea! She arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 4/9, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. The volunteers describe Chelsea as friendly, though initially shy. Give her a little time to come around, and you'll have a new BFF in no time! She responds to several commands such as sit and stay, and she walks great on leash. Chelsea is approximately 3 years old, and weighs 40 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. She is spayed and will be microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Chelsea in kennel 829; her ID # is 18121. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Yoshi is very attached to adult humans, he loves to snuggle all the time, burrow under the blankets, and be close to people. Yoshi is a good leash walker and loves to run! He responds well to a handful of verbal inputs "Off" "Let's go" and to leash control. Yoshi should not be let off leash if there is a chance of distraction, and he can jump clear over a low fence. Yoshi is not a fully socialized dog. He has lived comfortably with 1 other dog that he grew up with, however meeting new dogs has been a challenge. Yoshi should not be in a home with children or other pets, anything smaller than he is we consider a no-go based his energetic nature. Yoshi is crate trained and house broken. He has never messed in the house and has never dug in the trash or pantry. Yoshi very rarely barks or jumps when in the house. If he does bark, he barks once, then looks out the window.
