BooBear is ready for her next adventure! BB is an 8.5 year old, female weimie who's owner passed away. She has worked really hard to gain her confidence and come out of her shell and we can honestly say that she has a lovely personality! She is a little shy and unsure in new situations, but she's willing to try if you are! BB is crate trained, potty trained and happy to hang in a place she knows as home, which is sometimes her crate when she needs a little "me" time. She prefers to be with another laid back dog that will show her the ropes at her new place. We do know that she's not a fan of cats or farm animals, but would do great with older children that understand it will take some time for her to settle in. She'll need some refresher on leash walking. She's a big girl, so learning to walk without pulling on the leash will be important. She's a bit chunky and has lost a few pound but could definitely stand to lose a few more to keep her healthy and help relieve pressure on hips as she get's older. Dakota is a young adult probably 3 years old. He weighs about 65 lb. When he arrived he was heartworm positive. He has completed treatment as is doing great. Dakota is friendly but can be distrustful of strangers at first. He walks well on leash and will sit when asked. He can pull a bit. I use a training collar on him. He is well mannered. He will jump up but I've not had him put his feet on me. He loves attention and enjoys going for hikes with me. He would become a devoted, protective companion. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative (on monthly heartworm and flea preventive) and are microchipped. Upon adoption, the microchip will be registered with your contact information and you will be eligible to activate a free 30 day health insurance policy.
