Welcoming Bertie, a super-affectionate, people-friendly, very high energy, almost 4-year-old Weimaraner girl with a docked tail. She gets along with other dogs her size and was fine when she met a little dog; she is okay with children. Bertie is, however, very interested in birds, squirrels, and small critters so no cats. She walks well on leash with a prong collar, is used to a daycare/boarding environment and has done both aspects on a regular basis, is housebroken and crate trained. She likes watching TV and is very intelligent and perceptive of her surroundings. She figured out how to use the dog door in a record 5 minutes! This bundle of joy is extremely food motivated, and has been known to counter surf...hard to believe, right? Bertie will need a family that can provide TONS of exercise and structure (a tired Weim is a good Weim!). Bertie is hanging out at Camp Bow Wow - Duluth while she waits on her forever home.

Jett and his sister Teagan are coming into rescue due to a change in accommodations and their family is unable to have them at their current location. Jett & Teagen have been staying with friends on their farm and spend most of their time outdoors. Jett & Teagen will be adopted separately. Jett is good with kids of all ages and other dogs - but definitely not cats. He loves to ride in the car and really loves water! The boy can swim! His family told us that he loves run and play but also loves to just hang out with his people. He stays close by always! Jett needs a foster or adoptive home w/o cats. Miss Poppy was brought to us by some nice ladies that found her running along side of the highway. Thank goodness they saved her, she could have been seriously injured or even killed. We are so happy Poppy was saved, despite her hard beginning to life, she is a total love. Poppy has beautiful grey fur, like a weimeriener who is about year old. Poppy has the sweetest demeanor. She smiles when she gets excited. She had the cutest little "teefs".She is good with other dogs and cats making her the perfect addition to any home!! Poppy says: I was a stray and lived on the streets for a while. People kept passing me by. Then one day two nice ladies lured me into their car with some popcorn. Hence the name Poppy I stayed at the shelter with all my friends for about a week and was adopted out, but sadly brought back because they just couldn't give me the attention I needed. That did not dull my spirits though! I'm still smiling. Literally. I smile with all my pretty teeth when I get excited. I am about a year old. I still need some work on house training. I've never had anybody to teach me how to go potty outside. But I'm a smart girl and I learn really fast! I've never been around children, but I am a very happy girl so if you introduce me slowly and to nice kids, I think we'll do just fine. I am curious about cats. They are so much smaller than me and they seem really crabby when I try to smell them. I don't know what that's about. I'm just trying to be friendly. I have a lot of friends at the shelter, I like playing with all the dogs. I have many friends here. I have been at the shelter for a month. Since I lived on the streets I don't walk on a leash so well. I just want to run and have fun. I would love a big fenced in yard. My friends Kelsey and Kassidy say I am a Weimaraner/lab mix. I have to have something in my mouth at all times. Whether it be a bone or a toy or just something random I find on the ground, but I really like leaves

Hey there, I'm Buckaroo! I'm a spirited adventurer who thrives on fun and new experiences. Whether it's cruising in the car or strolling outdoors, I'm all in. I'm pretty good on the leash with my harness, and sure do love a good sniff session. Indoors, I'm the perfect companion, happy to snuggle up on the couch or bed. I have a slight obsession with toys, and they keep me entertained for hours. Fetch is another favorite pastime, although I have my own rules about bringing the ball back - I like to keep things interesting!
