Story
Lily is a beautiful 3-year-old spayed Weimaraner with an athletic build, incredible speed, and a sharp, intelligent personality. Lily is up-to-date on vaccines and on monthly heartworm prevention. She forms a deep bond with her people and thrives on companionship and connection. Lily is extremely loyal, attentive, and naturally protective of those she loves. She is happiest when she is close to her owner—whether relaxing beside you at home, riding in the car, or simply following you from room to room. If you step out of the car, Lily will often climb right into the driver’s seat to “stand guard” until you return.
She is highly intelligent and learns new tricks and routines very quickly. Lily is curious by nature and will happily investigate anything left on kitchen countertops, so structure and consistency are important. She would do best in a calm, adult-only home with someone who appreciates a deeply devoted companion and enjoys having a dog that wants to truly be part of everyday life.
Inside the home, Lily is calm and affectionate. She enjoys relaxing beside her person for long periods and prefers companionship over independence. Lily was raised around horses and goats and was comfortable and playful around them.
Ideal Home Environment
Lily would do best with:
• A single adult or adult couple
• Someone who works from home or is home frequently
• An experienced dog owner familiar with strong bonding breeds
• A calm, structured household without children
Lily prefers to stay close to her person at all times. She does not enjoy being outside alone and is happiest when she can move in and out of the home alongside her owner. She thrives on connection, structure, and proximity.
Important Behavioral Notes
• Fully potty trained and reliable inside the home
• Does not like being crated
• Neutral toward other dogs; may be timid or fearful but has not shown aggression toward dogs
• Very bonded and naturally protective, so consistent boundaries are important
Children
Lily is not suitable for a home with children. She has shown growling and occasional snapping when approached unexpectedly or when she is not ready to engage. Because of this unpredictability, an adult-only home is required for her placement.
Summary
Lily is a deeply loyal, intelligent, and devoted companion who will flourish in the right adult-only environment. For the right person, she will become an exceptionally connected, loving, and rewarding companion.
In lieu of an adoption fee, we kindly request a $150 donation to the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.
