Lilah is a 3-year-old, 70lbs, Australian Shepard/Weimaraner/Hound mix. She is a very sweet and goofy dog. She is great with other dogs and people, crate trained, and does well on leashed walks. She loves hikes and once she’s warmed up a bit, she loves being in water. We made a significant investment in a formal off leash k9 training program so she can respond with an E-Collar and to important commands. Because she has that hound in her, she’s food driven and focuses on smells above all else. She’ll do what you ask… for a treat. Her quirks and things she needs someone to help her work on; she’s a counter surfer and will steal any and all food if she gets a chance. She is a howler and more recently has been barking at people who pass the yard. She could potentially be a good hunting dog, or hiking companion. She’s been a very loved girl, and we hope to connect her with the right forever home. After having a baby and moving with a small yard, we’re not able to give her what she needs.

Doc McGee is the name.... and FUN is the game!! I am a mixture of some hunting dogs…I like to raise up my paw when I see something in the backyard and I have some herding qualities. i like to try to corral my mom’s personal dogs around the yard. I am the sweetest boy at nighttime and I love to snuggle with my foster mommy in her bed at night…I love to be skin-on-skin! I do not like my kennel to sleep in. I bark if I cannot be laying with you. I am athletic and energetic and love to wrestle with my doggy siblings at my foster mom’s house. I really want a fun furry friend to play with at my new home. I also like to play with the 2 legged humans that like to talk “baby talk” to me. I am still working on potty training. I always pee-pee like a big boy out in the grass, but I sometimes have some accidents inside. I need to go outside right away in the morning when I wake up and I need to go outside within 2 minutes of eating to continue having success. I am a fun boy and I like to play with any and all squeaky toys, and I like to chew on anything that my toofers fit on….firewood, balls, toys, blankies, old shoes etc. I am very good at fetching when my human throws toys. Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!!
