Story
Location: Front Royal, VA Meet Willow. This gorgeous three year old mixed breed beauty weighs about fifty six pounds and is equal parts strength, sweetness, and comedy. With her soft flowing ears, soulful expression, and big personality, Willow has a way of making herself unforgettable from the moment you meet her. Willow loves people. Truly loves them. She wants to be close, involved, and part of whatever is happening. Whether she is stretched out beside you on the sofa, soaking up the breeze on the deck, or trying her very best to become a sixty pound lap dog, her happiest place is near her humans. She adores pets, back scratches, and affection of any kind. She settled into foster life quickly, especially considering the major change she has experienced after losing her previous owner. At first, she may cry a little when left alone, but she settles within a reasonable amount of time and is already learning that her people always come back. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and enjoys having a comfortable routine. Willow is playful, goofy, and wonderfully expressive. She loves toys, especially if they squeak, though the squeakers rarely survive for long. Fetch is not exactly her game. In Willow’s mind, if you threw the toy away, clearly you did not want it anymore. She is also pretty sure any toy that rolls down a hill is a personal inconvenience directed at her specifically. Car rides are one of her favorite things. Willow fully believes the passenger seat belongs to her and settles in like a proper copilot, calmly supervising your driving or curling up for a nap once she approves of your route. She enjoys being outside, exploring, and stretching her legs, but she is not a dog who wants to live apart from her people. She wants connection, companionship, and love. Willow does have a bit of a bull in a china shop quality because she does not fully realize her size, but it only adds to her charm. Willow is a strong, affectionate, resilient girl who has been through loss and change yet still greets life with warmth and joy. She is ready for a new home where she can settle in, feel secure again, and remind everyone daily how wonderful life is with a big goofy best friend by your side.

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Doc McGee is the name.... and FUN is the game!! I am a mixture of some hunting dogs…I like to raise up my paw when I see something in the backyard and I have some herding qualities. i like to try to corral my mom’s personal dogs around the yard. I am the sweetest boy at nighttime and I love to snuggle with my foster mommy in her bed at night…I love to be skin-on-skin! I do not like my kennel to sleep in. I bark if I cannot be laying with you. I am athletic and energetic and love to wrestle with my doggy siblings at my foster mom’s house. I really want a fun furry friend to play with at my new home. I also like to play with the 2 legged humans that like to talk “baby talk” to me. I am still working on potty training. I always pee-pee like a big boy out in the grass, but I sometimes have some accidents inside. I need to go outside right away in the morning when I wake up and I need to go outside within 2 minutes of eating to continue having success. I am a fun boy and I like to play with any and all squeaky toys, and I like to chew on anything that my toofers fit on….firewood, balls, toys, blankies, old shoes etc. I am very good at fetching when my human throws toys. Do I sound like a good fit for you? I cannot wait to go to my furever home!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
