Story
Our 5 year old blue Weimaraner has been in the same loving home since being adopted from a breeder and has been deeply bonded with her family throughout her life. She is truly loyal, affectionate “heart dog” who thrives when she is close to her people. She is highly intelligent and well trained in all basic commands, making her a pleasure to live with and easy to handle for an experienced owner. She is an excellent listener and responds well to structure, consistency and guidance, qualities that have helped her flourish in her current home. She would do best in a home with a yard where she can move freely and enjoy regular activity. She is best suited for a loving, attentive owner who understands the needs of an intelligent working breed and can provide both companionship and structure. This is a wonderful, devoted dog who forms strong bonds and gives back unmatched loyalty and affection to her family.

My name is Babe Riker, and I’m here to introduce myself because I’m on the hunt for my forever family! I came all the way from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama with my four brothers. It was getting pretty crowded there, but luckily some wonderful people stepped in to help us. Now I’m safe and settling in while I wait for the family who’s meant just for me. If you saw my photo shoot, you probably already noticed that I’ve perfected the art of being both adorable and handsome. It’s a natural talent, really. But I’m not just good looks — I’m also a friendly, playful puppy who loves having fun and making new friends. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy playtime just as much as cuddle time. My humans say I’m a well-behaved boy and at the perfect age to learn all the important puppy skills. That means I’m ready for training, adventures, and growing into the very best companion you could ask for. I’d love a home that enjoys staying active and spending time together — I promise to keep your days full of wet-nose kisses, happy tail wags, and plenty of goofy puppy moments. So what do you think… could we be a match? If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who will love you with his whole puppy heart, I’m your guy. Apply to adopt me today and let’s start our forever adventure together! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
We’re looking for a new home for Rocco, and it’s honestly breaking my heart, but he really needs a better setup. Since we moved, not having a backyard has been really hard on him. Even with multiple long walks, it’s just not enough—he needs space to run, and I can see he’s not as happy as he deserves. The fact of he being reactive with other dogs limits us in letting him running free, and this is a very active dog. It’s also been really difficult to keep interrupting the workday multiple times to take him out for at least one hour. We get tired, he doesn't. He’s the sweetest thing, but as I said, he is reactive with other dogs and also not a good fit for homes with small kids, which makes it a bit more challenging. He really needs someone who loves big dogs and has the space and experience for him.

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
