Baby Colt is one of six adorable siblings — Cadbury, Fancy, Colt (the only boy!), Maebe, Muffin and Kavindra — who found themselves in a crowded shelter in Alabama. Thankfully, K-9 Lifesavers came to their rescue, and all are now safe and ready to find the loving forever homes they deserve!
Despite his rough start in life, Colt hasn't let it dampen his sweet spirit! This affectionate, playful, and loving little guy is a true Heinz 57 mix, but one thing we know for certain is that he's 100% adorable! And he's got the brains to match his good looks! Colt is at the perfect age for training and socialization, and with his smarts, eagerness to learn, and lovable personality, he has all the makings of an incredible lifelong companion. All he needs is a family willing to provide a little patience, plenty of love, and lots of fun adventures along the way!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
