Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Timithia finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). To know friendly 5-year-old Timmy is to love Timmy! At 22 pounds, as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, she attached herself instantly to her foster mom, and has proven to be the sweetest, most loving of dogs. She LOVES attention with a capital “A”, pets and belly rubs, snuggles and cuddles, and she not only gives her foster mom sweet licks, she knows when to stop. Wonderful with children, especially when they rub her tummy, Timmy also LOVES her doggy foster friend, gently wrestling and nibbling on each other and running around the backyard together. She treats the resident cats with respect, is interested in and always friendly towards other dogs (even her “growl” is friendly), and while walking is Timmy’s favorite activity, she’s currently being treated for heartworm disease, and so honing her leash skills has been temporarily paused. Highly food motivated, she loves chew treats, long-lasting bones and pig ears, is working on “sit,” “down,” “stay” and “leave it” and is learning not to jump on people. Fully and happily crate trained and continuing to work on her housetraining skills, Timmy’s ideal home is one with a yard and another dog, and an adoring family who will perfect her manners and complete her training, including her commands, in exchange for a lifetime of sweetness and love. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! May 28, 2025, 8:17 pm
