Meet Noodle, We spotted Noodle wandering the streets of Memphis, and this poor girl was skin and bones. She was scared and ran off, so we left her food and water and came back the next day hoping shed still be around. Lucky for us, she was curious about another dog being walked nearby, and we were finally able to get a slip lead on her and bring her to safety. No chip. No collar. No one came looking for her. But somehow, this sweet girl is still full of love. Noodle is estimated to be 1-2 years old, LOVES other dogs OBSESSED with toys No accidents in the house Loves attention and being loved on Sweet, gentle, and ready for a fresh start Noodle went from surviving on the streets to learning what it feels like to be safe, loved, and spoiled. Story
Meet Junie! Junie is a sweet, gentle girl with the cutest combination of a soft, shy personality and a playful puppy spirit. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she gets comfortable, her sweet personality really shines. And when you start petting her, be prepared for kisses! Licking is apparently Junie’s favorite way to say, “I like you.”  Junie is wonderful with kids and other dogs. She has such a gentle way of playing, especially with smaller dogs, and will often lower herself down or even crawl toward them to invite them to play. She loves having canine friends around and is happiest when she gets to be part of the group. She’s also a smart girl who learns quickly and responds beautifully to praise. Junie came to us with a consistent potty routine and has been doing a great job building on that foundation. And of course, every puppy needs a favorite chew! Junie’s current obsession is a frozen rope chew, and she is very serious about enjoying it.  Junie is growing into such a lovely young dog — sweet, gentle, playful, and affectionate once she knows you. She would love a family who will give her a little time to warm up and then enjoy all the kisses and puppy fun that follow ##2819655##

Story
Penny is a sweet, silly Chihuahua rescue estimated by her vet to be 13–14 years old, although you’d never know. She does zoomies nearly every time she goes out and she walks/struts on a leash. We’ve had her for several years, and she is truly a little companion dog who wants to be wherever her person is. She loves to snuggle, burrow completely underneath blankets, and curl up in her favorite beds.Penny is house trained, crate trained, great in the car, travels well, walks nicely on a leash, and very rarely barks. She is an easy keeper and incredibly loving. She does great with big dogs, while smaller dogs tend to bring out her rowdy, feisty Chihuahua side—although she is not aggressive.Penny is down to just a few teeth, so we wet her food. She has a wonderfully quirky personality and does plenty of silly things that will make you laugh. She is sweet, affectionate, and simply wants to be loved and close to her people.

Story
Meet Penny, an 7-year-old Basenji and Labrador mix with a heart full of love and a spirited personality. Originally from Mexico, Penny made her way to California in December 2020 and was quickly adopted. However, she was returned when her previous family found out they were expecting a baby, and Penny wasn’t comfortable around the little one. Penny is a sweet and loving dog who thrives in the right environment. She’s fully house trained, never has accidents inside, and is a joy to have around. Penny enjoys long walks and playing with her toys, but she also loves relaxing and taking naps next to her favorite people. While Penny is not good with other dogs, cats, or kids, she is an ideal companion in a home where she can be the sole focus of attention. She’s working on her reactivity to other dogs on walks, so a patient family willing to help her through her anxiety would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who will shower you with love and appreciate a calm, dog-free home, Penny is ready to become a cherished member of your family.

Story
This is Chance. He’d had a bit of a rough time before we took him into the rescue, but he’s overcome everything it had thrown at him. Very scared at first, Chance is sadly still a little wary of people He’s very sweet, patient and loving. He’s happy to just have a spot in a comfy home, doesn’t bark or fuss Chance loves to play and be around other dogs. A home with other dogs is a must. He’s very submissive, shares his toys and will turn away from overbearing dogs. He is a little guarded over food and needs to be fed separately He needs a home with patient humans and a doggie or 3 Chance is potty and crate trained will go happily into his crate when asked. He doesn’t do well on a leash, he will chew them and is not happy going on walks. A home with a safe fenced yard is required.

Story
Meet Zorro, a roughly 6-month-old Bull Terrier / Basenji mix with a black-and-white mask around his eyes, tall upright ears, a white chest, and white socks. He’s new to Blues City and already showing who he is: lean and curious, walks nicely on leash, and is great with kids and people. He wants to be in the middle of life, not watching from the hall. Zorro is neutered and ready for an active home that can keep a young, athletic pup busy — walks, play, and a person (or family) he can stick close to. We’re still learning how he does with other dogs; updates will follow as we see more. If a masked, people-loving youngster sounds like your match, Zorro is ready now. ——— Transport is an additional $185 A few key notes about our Rescue... 1.
