Meg had a rough start to life — she was one of eight puppies rescued from a power plant in Kuwait. When rescuers found her, the group was struggling to survive in harsh conditions. Despite everything, Meg’s gentle and loving nature shone through from the very beginning. She’s great with adults, kids, and other dogs, and loves to be part of the action. True to her sweet spirit, Meg is submissive and adores belly rubs — she’ll flop right over to show you how much she trusts you. But don’t be fooled by her calm moments — once she’s comfortable, she loves to run and play with joyful bursts of energy! Meg walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car (especially in her crate), and is working on her house training. She’s not a barker or destructive, and she’s happiest in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and play. She’d love a canine companion but doesn’t require one — she just needs a family who will give her the love and attention she deserves. Meg is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated — ready to bring her gentle heart and playful spirit to her forever home. She does have diabetes, cushings disease and sensitive skin that are being managed with medication. Ideally she would love to live with someone who is financially secure/retired, works from home or can bring her to work so they can monitor her diabetes. This is done using an app that scans her monitor. Karma is used to being around people and is easy going. She currently lives with a dog and cat but can be dog selective. Sorry, no birds, she has a very high prey drive for them. I was rescued from a crowded California shelter along with my brother Franco (he also needs a home), and it was a pretty traumatic experience for us. But I'm now coming out of my shell, and am ready for a foster or forever home. Like many dogs I'll need some time to transition to a new life, but once I do, I'll be your best friend forever.
