Yes  Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? In crate Where does the dog sleep? In crate or on bed When does the dog eat? Breakfast and dinner What does the dog eat? Dry dog food  Temperament/Personality: Playful pup who enjoys tagging along on all your adventures or taking a nap on the couch snuggled up with his human. Understands “ouch” when playing with humans and will back off if he hurts you. Friendly to humans and dogs.  What does the dog's ideal home look like? He has a balanced energy level good for apartments or houses with yards. He would like someone who has time to play with him each day, and would be a good first dog or a second/additional dog in the family.  What are the dog's strengths? Affectionate, sleeps though the night, funny when playing, good listener. What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? Working on basic commands like sit, stay and come. Understands “leave it” when picking up something he should not have. Also needs to learn to not bark at every sound outside of the apartment which will come with time as the sounds become normal.  If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? Chandler Bing. He is a great friend who wants the best for you and will always be there when you need a hug or high five.  If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? I like long walks (but maybe not on a beach with big waves — they still scare me) and spending time with people and all your dog friends. You make the plans and I’ll be your protector. I’ll bark at scary things that come our way and save all my kisses and nibbles for you.  Beach or Mountains? As a PNW pup now, he likes both! He also has gone paddleboarding and is comfortable on the water but learning to be less afraid of the waves on the shore.  Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? Chewy and soft plush toys are best!  Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share…..” a sunny afternoon at the dog park followed by a great like a pup cup.  What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Vanilla ice cream and pup cups (and chicken nuggets!) His adoption fee is $500 Scar is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative ##2049895##

Sweetie is a fun and loving girl who loves to spend time with people and playful kind dog companions. She is an active girl who is looking for a home with space to romp around. While she isn’t super heavy, she is on the taller side with her long legs. While with us she has done well with the other dogs she has met and with the cats she has met. She would also do well as an only dog. She crates well, and has been learning basic skills such as sit and wait. We are looking for a home for her that wants to put the bit of time in to make this young girl the amazing pup we know she can be! Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Story
Meet June! She is a very active and affectionate dog, she loves to go for a walk on a leash and discover new places, she is usually invaded when she meets a new dog, and she jumps on people with tremendous joy, she is very sociable and obedient, but when she plays she usually behaves like puppy, he loves balls, cloth toys, rope toys, and he really likes to play with puppies. She was abandoned the day she had her 12 puppies, the "owner" went to throw the babies on the hill while June desperately looked for them where she thought her home was, the person who asked us for support to give her shelter and care told us that She went for her puppies, and they were in a box, under the sun, and there were 4 dead puppies in a bag, together with her 8 brothers, the girl took them down to her house so that June was with them, but when we arrived by they only had 5 puppies alive since he brought them back up the hill. June is currently healthy, happy, and chubby. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
He is a sweet and goofy dog that bonds very strongly with his person. He loves being outdoors, does well when home alone, &is very laid back in general. He has a love for training, knows a lot of fun tricks and enjoys learning new tricks even at 8 years of age! He is crate trained, walks well on leash, and knows commands such as sit, down, spin, touch, shake, high-five, middle, jump, heel, and place. Kobe is very gentle with indoor cats &small dogs. He has lived with another dog smaller than him and two indoor cats, which has also gone very well. However, he has a hard time getting along with larger adult dogs. Kobe's adoption history from the Homeward Pet Adoption Center in 2019 indicated that he is not good with children. He would thrive in a quiet home with an experienced dog owner who loves to be outdoors and has experience with dog training. He does have behavior concerns when around new people and is taking antianxiety medication which has helped his confidence and stress.

He can be timid and fearful at first, but once he is comfortable he is sweet, affectionate and playful.  He loves being with other dogs and people, once he is comfortable.  Nyx can be easily startled, so we do not recommend him in a home with children.  He was found chained to a wooden kennel with dirt floors and it seems that is where he had spent his life, poor guy.  He will need a calm, quieter home and environment.  Nyx is not suitable for an apartment/condo/townhome and will need one without cats.  Nyx is a past Dog of the Month!!  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/nyx-january-dog-of-the-month/ Sponsored by LaVerne Carlson Sponsored by Cathleen MacellariNyx would love to have a sponsor.  If this interests you, please see: https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND?
