Story
Lieutenant Natasha Yar, chief security officer aboard the USS-Enterprise, reporting for duty! Of course, you can just call me Tasha. Much like my namesake character from Star Trek: The Next Generation, I am small but mighty and a true protector! I am also (partially) blonde and my funny tiny ears match Tasha Yar's short hair. Also like Tasha, I have had a rrruff life before now and am happy to start anew. I have a little bit of a funny appearance. I have my tiny ears, looong legs, and my eyes sometimes go out to the sides. It's really hard to know what breeds I may be mixed with. All I know is that I'm super sweet and loving but have no problem being feisty too. I'm still a pup after all! I love to wrestle with the other dogs in the house and we get along great, though I do have to eat separately. I get barky when I have food because I feel the need to protect it! I'm still working on things like house training, leash training, and getting used to car rides. I'm doing really really well with all of it but will need continued help to be 100%. I'm ready for a family of my own to explore the galaxies with and discover new things. Apply today!

Animal Profile:  Gavin is an estimated 1-year-old 37 lb neutered male Hawaiian muttley (possibly whippet hound mix) who was taken into the Hawaii shelter as a stray. He loves everyone, dog and human alike, and seems to be good even with little kids and cats. He is playful but not pushy with other dogs and was was not interested in messing with a big male cat whatsoever. He is playful with people, dogs and toys and very food motivated so should be easy to train. More info to come as we get to know him in foster care.  Seattle Foster Update: Stay tuned for details.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was transferred from COH Animal Shelter in Hawaii and transferred by Paws Across water, he arrived in Seattle on  September 14, 2023. He loves everyone, dog and human alike, and seems to be good even with little kids and cats. He is playful but not pushy with other dogs and was interested in but not aggressive towards a cat. He seems to have had no prior training with a leash and occasionally jumps up but he's very dainty and we think he'll learn quickly. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Minnie! Her giant ears are sure to bring a smile to your face--she looks like a little Whippet mix with her narrow face and long legs. She's a sassy, playful, snuggly puppy who's thrilled to be off the streets and out of the heat! She's about 3.5 months old and weighs 9 pounds. She's good with other dogs and kids, and she's working on house training in her foster home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.September 23, 2023, 4:03 pm

Knows heel, but can be tough sometimes. -Sensitive to emotions. -Fear of noises. Terrified of fireworks. -MUST use positive reinforcement- no clicker tho. She gets scared when mad/irritated/yelled at; she will fear bite!! -Food/bone/chew aggression. Worked 2.5yrs to get her to trust me, no hands for others. -Does ok in home by herself, but would prefer to be around her people all day. -Is not a long distance hike/walk dog. -Loves to play fetch, tug, “suck on her binky” a stuffed beach ball.
