SANDOR's Story Est. DOB: 11/05/2018 Weight: 65lbs Adoption fee: $99 (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Sandor is a big ol' sweetheart who’s ready to bring warmth, companionship, and a whole lot of love into the right home. He’s the kind of dog who truly enhances the quality of life for the person he bonds with. Once he trusts you, he gives his whole heart. Sandor is a world-class cuddler and spends most of his day relaxing on the couch or snoozing in a sunny spot. In the afternoon, he enjoys a leisurely stroll and the occasional 10-minute burst of playful energy before settling back in for more lounging. He’s a gentle, affectionate boy who adores people—especially adults and older kids (10+) and would prefer to be the only furry friend in the home. He’s incredibly respectful around food; you can even take treats right from his mouth or hand without a worry. All he really wants is attention, calm companionship, and someone who appreciates a low-key, loyal dog. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion who will happily share your couch and your heart, Sandor may be your perfect match. Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. Story
Meet Meg Meg is a beautiful 2-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing about 21 kg (46 lbs), with striking white-and-black markings and a heart as big as her gentle soul. She is friendly and affectionate with adults and kids, does well with other dogs, and is happiest in an active home with space to play. Meg would do best with a confident dog who enjoys play, or she would also be perfectly happy as a single dog soaking up all the attention. Cats, however, are not a good fit. Meg has a medium-to-high energy level and would thrive in a home with a yard. She walks nicely on leash, rides well in a crate in the car, is not destructive, and is continuing to work on her house training. She’s not a barker, shows no food aggression, and is comfortable being handled. Meg’s journey to safety has been a long one. She escaped Kuwait in August after surviving incredibly difficult conditions as one of eight puppies rescued from a power plant. After arriving in the U.S., Meg spent three long months in a boarding facility in Washington, DC, patiently waiting for a foster home. She has now finally made her way to the Puget Sound area, where she is in a loving foster home and learning—for perhaps the first time—that she is safe. Despite everything she’s been through, Meg is incredibly sweet and submissive with people. She’ll happily roll onto her back and offer all four paws just for a belly rub—but don’t be fooled, this girl also loves to show off her joyful zoomies when she’s feeling playful and confident. Meg is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She’s ready for a committed, loving home that will continue helping her build confidence and enjoy the life she’s always deserved. She thrives on companionship and can become anxious if isolated too long. Sleeping: Currently sleeps in a designated area alongside two other dogs. A consistent routine, companionship, and gradual alone-time training will be important as she transitions into a home. Temperament Patches is a confident, athletic Whippet mix with a loving and loyal heart. She bonds quickly with her people, craves affection, and loves cuddles once her exercise needs are met.She responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and learns new commands quickly. Rescue Story In early January 2025, Patches was found roaming a yard on the outskirts of Guadalajara with other dogs. A kind person took her in temporarily but couldn’t keep her long-term. Through our rescue partner in Guadalajara, Patches was brought to safety and prepared for adoption. She is now patiently waiting for her forever home in the Seattle area. Story
Crunchy or Candy is a 1-year-old whippet mix weighing about 30 lbs, and she is pure sweetness wrapped in a sleek, adorable package. This girl has truly never met a stranger—everyone she meets is instantly her new best friend. She is extremely friendly, affectionate, and full of love. Candy thrives on human companionship and will happily soak up all the cuddles, pets, and attention you’re willing to give. Her gentle, loving nature makes her a wonderful fit for just about any home. Candy is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and kept on heartworm and flea preventatives. She is currently in a foster home in Austin, TX, but transport is available anywhere to the right home, whether in the States or even in Canada. If you’re looking for a happy, social, and devoted pup to add joy to your life, Candy (Kai) may be your perfect match 💕🐾 To meet this amazing pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Candy's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Transport Fee to several states in the United States. Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

She is friendly, sweet and affectionate. She can be a little shy at first, but once comfortable she has a silly/goofy side. Loves to play and run, but also likes affection. Olive is a big time leaner! Olive is very smart and good at picking up on patterns. Olive would do best in an active home with a securely fenced yard (6 foot fence). While she does ok in an apartment, it needs to be quieter (she gets a little uneasy about the surrounding noises) and with an active family. She is a quick learner and eager to please and will need a home that can continue her training (she loves to learn). Olive will need a home without cats. She does better with dogs that are bigger than she is and would prefer to be an only dog. Olive is about 35 pounds worth of energy and delight!
