Not treat motivated  No accidents No separation anxiety  Dwight would do best in an active home (His foster believes a home without younger children would be ideal) Loves to be outside  Goes on errands with his Foster like Home Depot runs and Petco visits One time Dwight saw a mannequin and nuzzled it's hand so it would 'pet' him - Cute!! Dwight would like everyone who sees him to say hi  Dwight is a handsome Great Pyrenees and Border Collie mix! He loves dog parks and playing outside, rolling in the grass. He will do well in a fenced property or farm. He is leash trained, muzzle trained, and crate trained, however, the door often remains open. He’s a quick learner. He’s a little over 2 years old and shy of 100 pounds. He knows no, wait, down, paw, gentle, bed, belly, “get it” to eat, and sit with many more things he’s still perfecting. He loves the butt scratches but when he is sleeping her prefers to be left alone. He can sometimes be a little protective of his chew bones or food. He doesn’t play fetch but he loves chasing a laser like a cat. He prefers humans to chase him as a way of playing. He came from a home with two adults and should not go to a home with children. He’s used to a more quiet space and doesn’t do very well with loud noises. He did a great job outside watching his previous owner in his work shop. He does a great job being an outside guard dog, that’s definitely the Great Pyrenees in him. He loves to work and play. He has a ton of energy.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Story
Olaf is a Great Pyrenees who is estimated to be about 3-4 years old. He gets along with everyone - dogs, cats, and kids. Olaf would like slow introductions to men as he finds them a little scary at first but he has no issues coexisting with them.   Olaf kennels perfectly and can be expected to be nearly potty trained in his new home. He has only had one accident in his foster mom's home.   This big guy is going to need a special home because he has a neurological disability that has caused severe weakness in his back legs. This doesn't slow him down except when it comes to stairs. Olaf can only handle 2-3 stairs on his own before he needs assistance. For this reason, Olaf should be adopted by a family with very little stairs that Olaf would need to navigate, especially between inside & outside. Rest assured, Olaf can still walk, run and play as long as his back paws are looked after as they do occasionally bend at an odd angle. He also has no issues going to the bathroom by himself.   Olaf is a very social dog who would do best in a home that also has another dog. He especially like big dogs.   His new family should also know that Olaf is true to his breed - Great Pyrenees do tend to bark a bit more than other breeds but it is very manageable and frankly, we think Olaf's bark is pretty cool - deep & rumbly. This means Olaf will thrive in a single family home that does not share walls with other families.   To recap, Olaf will need:   - A home with very little stairs, especially between inside & outside - At least one doggy brother or sister - A home without shared walls - And most importantly, a home that has LOTS of love to give and receive   If your home fits the bill, please consider giving Olaf a chance. You won't regret it! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $450.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2024, 11:07 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $450 plus taxHello, my name is Bob! I’m an 85 pound, 1 yr 3-month old Great Pyrenees x Saint Bernard mix. I love going to stores like Fleet Farm and Home Depot for visiting and training. While I’m out and about I love meeting new people and children especially if they give me treats! I'm a huge fan of couch cuddles, paw rubs, and looking out the window at squirrels.  I’m fully potted trained and proud to say I passed puppy and basic obedience class with flying colors.   I’m looking for an active family that has a fenced backyard so I can roam and spend lots of time in the sunshine.  I’m used to walking 1.5 to 3 miles daily and would love to continue that routine. I would also like a family that is home a lot and not gone for 7+ hours a day. I’m learning kennel training now and doing very well. I would prefer to be with a family that has a medium to large adult dog that is calm, or to be an only child. High-energy dogs make me nervous, and I don’t like that kind of high level of stimulation. I’m not a fan of cats even though I think they look like toys to play with. I may have a loud bark when I see a dog or bike rider outside my window, but I am very loyal and want to protect my family and let them know what I see. Even though I am very gentle with people and little children, I would like someone who has experience with my breed and is a good pack leader for me to follow. If you think I would be a great fit for your family I would love to meet you! Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Say hello to Angel. This beautiful girl is looking for a home to call her own. Angel is a total lover! She makes the perfect cuddle buddy with her soft fluffy fur. She enjoys snuggling after a day of activity. Angel loves to chase & wrestle with her foster sister. She’d love a friend to keep her busy in her new home although it’s not required! Angel came to Minnesota with a leg injury that required several surgeries to repair. She’s doing great after a some rest and physical therapy but will require daily walks and stretching to keep her leg strong. Angle is fully potty trained but prefers to go to the bathroom in a fenced in space. She spends the night on a dog bed in her foster parents room and stays in her kennel while she’s home alone. If this sweet girl sounds like the perfect fit, she’d love to meet you! Angel is estimated to be one year old and 55 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Story
Big boy I think is my name but they also call me  Oliver (even though my legal rescue name is Arlington). My legs are growing so fast I’m the tallest in my littler. My foster mom says I look and feel just like a golden retriever. I like to walk around with toys in my mouth.  I’m polite but if there’s treats I will be first in line to sit right up front nice and proud patiently waiting. I like to quietly lay in the yard just watching all the action. My foster mom talks to me all the time and I stare into her eyes. She likes that and I usually get a treat and a kiss. I'm sensitive and kind and I love kids of all ages. What I love the most is sleeping outside in the shade with a cool breeze. I'm house trained and I sleep through the night. Completion of an Adoption Application via our website (www.RescueCrew.org) is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. Cloud is 2.5 yo and full of playfulness, energy, and a sense of humor. He loves the snow, lots of attention, walks, and playing with other dogs. He has never met a person he doesn't love. He (ostensibly) knows basic commands and is crate trained. We are heartbroken to have to rehome him. Cloud would do best with an owner or family with either lots of dog experience or the time and resources for more extensive behavioral training. He is amazing meeting strangers and children on a leash, but we have 2 smaller children at home and are pregnant again and he tends to play with our children like they are puppies (lots of mouthing and bumping them over) despite lots of training. We think he would do better in a home with older or no children where an owner can maintain a calmer environment. Cloud also hates having his nails cut and basic grooming (other than being brushed), and our vet has recommended working with a vet behavioralist to address these issues.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

Story
My name is Pixie, I’m a female Mini-Bernedoodle born 3/5/2023. I’m 27 pounds and have beautiful black fur with brown and white accents. I look like a short, smaller form of a Bernese Mountain dog. I am a lover! I love to snuggle, get kisses and thrive on praise. I am very interested in pleasing my foster mom and I like to stay by her side, and I’m curious about everywhere she goes. With guidance and reminders from her, I am currently working on learning and remembering that I need to go potty outside and learning to understand that my foster mom will come back when she leaves me at home alone in my kennel. Right now, I get stressed out when she leaves, and I bark and try to claw and bite my way out of my kennel. I am a smart little girl and should eventually catch on, but so far I have not spent any time alone. I am very friendly with humans, get along with and am eager to meet other dogs and I’m very curious about little kids, although I haven’t met any close up yet. I also have not met other pets that aren’t dogs. I’m not interested in playing with toys and I am a bit of a picky eater. I like soft treats and am not yet very interested in crunchy treats or hard food.  I am working on training and currently am slow to respond to a command, but with encouragement I do sit and come. I love the attention and treats I get when I do well. I sleep in my kennel in the bedroom with my foster mom and am quiet and don’t need any attention at night. I generally do very well in my kennel and I don’t mind it but, as I said, I do not want to be left at home alone. I like car rides and do well riding in my kennel or sitting on someone’s lap. I love to go for walks and being outside. I am energetic when I go outside, go for walks and when I get praise for doing the right thing. When it is time to come inside, I settle down easily. Exercise seems kind of new to me, but I love it and I walk well on my leash smelling everything around me. I’m a bit nervous of traffic and occasionally when I get startled, I will jump to the side and try to flee the scene, but I come back to my senses quickly and relax. When my foster mom is working, I lay quietly by her desk and sleep. If you like a fun, loving, snuggly, loyal companion and have the patients to help me with training, I may be the perfect dog for you.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
