Story
Buddy is currently looking for a new home since his current owner is in declining health due to terminal illness. She has had Buddy since Nov 2022 where he was adopted from the Watauga Animal Shelter. Buddy is about 4 years old and he is very friendly, highly energetic and very smart. Buddy would probably due best with someone who is familiar with training dogs and can spend time with him so he can actually bond. No information on how well he does with young children but he currently lives with a kitten(young cat) , who he plays with a lot, and with an Australian cattle dog. Buddy is currently up to date on all of his shots and is currently taking HW preventative medication. He has been chipped and has already been altered. Ideal place would include large yard and possibly put to work as his breed was intended. Thank you for considering Buddy to be part of your family.

Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person, and has the typical Pyr attitude. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 102 pounds. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though would probably do best as an only dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! Meet Peyton – A Gentle Soul with So Much Love to Give Located in the DFW Area | Age: 2 Years | Female Peyton’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her heart is still wide open. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, this sweet girl is now safe and thriving in her foster home thanks to TGPR. Peyton is the definition of a love bug—quiet, gentle, and affectionate. She’s learning to trust and build confidence every day and is already showing how much love she has to offer. She gets along beautifully with her foster brother, an extra-large alpha male dog, and is respectful and submissive in all the right ways. She’s also house-trained, crate-comfortable (she even naps there with the door open!), and travels well in the car. Peyton quickly became a staff favorite at both the shelter and the vet’s office, and it’s easy to see why! Her favorite things? Sky even as a puppy will patrol the yard, when she's deemed it all good she is ready to play. Sky can be shy, she'll needs a minute to get used to her surroundings and people. She is very curious and can be independent. She likes to know her surroundings before her personality comes out. When she's comfortable she is the sweetest, gentle and most loving baby. Sky as been around other dogs 5-100lbs as well as outdoor cats, she does fine with all of them. She likes to wrestle with her siblings, then come see her people to check in. Sky is very intelligent she learned sit right away, is working on down (lay down) and paw (shake). She is pretty much house trained, she will let you know when she out. With patience and consistency she will be one heck of a dogs! She has been around children 5-15 and is gentle and sweet with all of them. Sky will be a big beautiful girl when grown, so a big yard or livestock to protect will be right up her alley. .

Rocky is so handsome, just look at that face! This guy loves to be around people! He may be shy at first but don't let that fool you he has a silly personality and can be goofy when playing. He's also a snuggler, he will fall to sleep in your lap. He has been around other dogs 5-100lbs and outdoor cats. He is great with all, he minds his manners and is gentle. He does like to wrestle with his siblings so if he has a partner who also loved to wrestle he would be in heaven. Rocky is very smart, he learned sit right away, he is working on down (lay down) and paw ( shake), he is a people pleaser and food motivated which can be very helpful in training. He is pretty much house trained, and will let you know when he out. This awesome boy has also been around kids 5-15 and loves them all, he is gentle with them as well. Rocky is so sweet, curious and docile, and he's brave when needed. He will be a big guy when grown, so lots of space to run, play and grow. I have no doubt he will make an excellent family or livestock guardian dog, with some patience, and consistency in his training he will be the best dog!

This is Cate, she is so smart, sweet, playful and curious. She may be a little shy at first, just wait will she warms up, she has an amazing personality/demeanor. Cate loves to wrestle with her siblings and other dogs shes been in contact with. Although she is the boss of her siblings she knows when to stop or mind her manners with other dogs. She has been around dogs as small as 5lbs to 100lbs. She's also been around cats, outdoor cats. She is curious, but gentle with them. Cate loves people, she wants to please and is very gentle with kids. She's been around kids ages 5-15 and loves them all. She has picked up on sit right away, and she is learning down (lay down) and paw (shake). Cate is going to be big, she will need space to grow, as well as consistent training to help her be the absolute best family or livestock guardian. I'm very confident Cate will make a family extremely happy with her love and devotion.
