Story
Hello, I'm Willow. I'm a sweet gal who loves nothing more than a warm lap and gentle strokes. I do get a bit anxious when left alone, and crates, well, they're not my favorite. I prefer the company of humans to other dogs, they're just not my cup of tea. I'm looking for a loving home where I can spend my golden years, showering my new family with love and affection. Will you be my forever home?FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: "I took Willow to a nearby nursing home and she was an absolute hit with the residents! She walked around and greeted all of the residents that were sitting in the common area and enjoyed getting pets from them. She was such a calm presence and she even laid down and relaxed while we were there. She does a good sit on command and rode wonderfully in the car. There was another dog at the nursing home as well and she sniffed him a bit and was happy to coexist throughout the visit. She is an absolute sweetheart. The residents requested that she come back!" "I took Willow out to Trinity Groves for a long walk across the bridge and some relaxation in the sun. She rode fantastic in the car and is great on walks. She zig zags a little on the leash, but it's manageable. She enjoys walking up to other people and sniffing all the new sights and smells. After a long walk, I laid down a blanket in the grassy area and she LOVED basking in the sunshine. She is a cuddle bug! She snuggled up to me and kept rolling on her back to get some belly rubs. She is such a calm, sweet dog with a heart of gold".Come meet me any day noon to 6pm at 2400 Lone Star Drive.

Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, and may do well with a larger female dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! If interested in Charlie, please fill out our foster or adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Story
Sir Everest is new to the DFW program. He is settling in nicely with his foster's pack and beginning to relax in the home. Everest is an older guy, possibly 7-9 years old. Everest is a perfect example of how we need to give time to our rescues to adjust and acclimate to new environments. He is gaining weight and has been neutered and up to date with his vaccines. So happy to report he is heart worm negative. Are you ready to give this boy the best years of his life? Apply today TGPR.org

Meet Princess Peach. She was surrendered to TGPR by her owner. She could not get along with the neighbors chickens. Now she's with TGPR, up to date on her vaccines and spayed. She is an energetic silly girl who loves to play ball. She loves her toys and chew bones like most good puppies, Peach is kennel trained, potty trained, definitely loves car rides with her people. She is a curious puppy who likes to explore her outside world listening for crickets and bugs, so sometimes she needs a reminder to make her business outside. She is cat friendly and would love a home with a cat sibling. She is your no fuss, no hassle ready to go pup. She is mixed GP with a shorter coat and is looking for her family to call her own. Story
Katiska was surrender at a vet office after being kicked and her leg broken by a large goat. Her owner surrendered her to the vet, unable to afford her surgery. TGPR happened to be on the phone talking about another dog and agreed to take her into rescue. A foster was found and surgery completed to pin and later unpin her leg back together. She is named Katiska or as we call her, Kiki, is doing great! Katiska means "goat" in Polish but her beautiful Akbash face is lovelier than the meaning of her name! Kiki is ready to meet her forever home and would be the best puppy to bring into your family!

Story
Meet Franklin! Franklin is a 7 year old, 95 pound, Anatolian Shepherd Mix. He was rescued in the nick of time from the euthanasia list in July 2022 and is ready for his forever home and a family of his own.We unfortunately know little of his past, as he was found as a stray, but he certainly does not act like a senior. Franklin is truly a fun-loving guy. He LOVES to play with other dogs and gets along with everyone, but can come off a little strong with his playful energy. He is a big goofball and does not have a mean bone in his body, but he would probably do best with older kids just due to his size. He is a very sweet guy and loves to scope out and curl up in the comfiest of spots. He is a big fan of toys, chews, and bones, but I recommend the tougher-duty ones, as he has been known to do a number on plush toys.Franklin is potty-trained and crate-trained. We crate him overnight and while we are not home, and he is great about going right into his crate when told. He does well on a leash. He has not gotten out much recently, but I am sure he would appreciate some more adventures. He has been around and done well with horses. Franklin still has so much love to give and is very deserving of the best forever home!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Maggie! Maggie is a 2 yr old Anatolian weighing 80 lbs. She had a rough start in life. She was ran over at 3 months old and she's had major surgeries to fix her leg. Although Maggie has been in leg casts most of her early life she continues to have a happy and loving disposition. She's very independent, easygoing & a social butterfly. She loves all people, big or small, and she gets along with all animals. Nothing stops Maggie from enjoying life. Because of her surgeries she should be restricted from exercise. You just have to convince her of that! Maggie loves to smell new people (she knows no stranger) but she's not a licker. Everywhere she goes she gets lots of attention and Maggie loves it! She would be best suited in an environment with adults & children of all ages but preferably live with only 1 or two dogs. Although she gets along with all dogs, the more dogs at home, the more she's enticed to run with the pack which should be avoided due to her post surgeries. When left alone, she can be crated, but prefers to sleep on the floor while owners are away. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Pearl! Pearl is a stunning, mellow 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix. She's calm and sweet, and loves all people. She's been around dogs of all ages and sizes, and does great. She gets grumpy around the high energy puppies in the house though, so she'd do better as an only dog, or with a lower energy friend. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
