Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person, and has the typical Pyr attitude. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 102 pounds. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though would probably do best as an only dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! Meet Willie! Willie is a 90-pound goofball with a heart as big as he is! This Lab/Anatolian Shepherd mix has the best of both breeds—protective and loyal like an Anatolian, playful and water-loving like a Lab.Willie adores people and is great with children, though due to his size, we recommend a home with kids age 5 and up. He gets along well with other dogs with slow introductions but can be protective of his food and toys around them. He hasn’t been around cats, but we think he’d be okay with them.This big guy loves the outdoors—hiking, walking, camping, and car rides are all on his list of favorites. He’s housebroken, uses a doggy door, and is crate trained. Willie has also worked with a trainer and responds well to commands.True to his Lab side, one of his favorite things is water—he’ll never pass up a chance to splash around! On the Anatolian side, he takes his guarding duties seriously—especially when it comes to keeping coyotes away from his home.Willie’s favorite part of the day? Cuddling with his humans and resting his big head in your lap for some well-earned head rubs.
