Story
It makes me so sad to write this, but we are looking to re-home our sweet dog Lucy. We are moving and unfortunately are not able to bring her with us. We adopted Lucy during Covid, and she has been such a wonderful family dog ever since. She is incredibly loving, totally safe with kids, loves walks, being around people, scratches, and sneaking treats under the table at dinnertime. She doesn’t get on furniture and is perfectly content laying on a blanket at your feet just happy to be near her people. Lucy does have separation anxiety and has done some significant chewing in our home over the years. She has been on and off anxiety medication, though she generally seems calmer without it. She really loves being outdoors as much as possible, she is calmest and happiest there. Our dream would be to find her a home with a fenced yard — or even some land — where she can roam safely during the day, get lots of attention, and be surrounded by love. Thank you!

Story
Prepare to be enchanted by April🌺, a stunning 2-year-old Japanese Akita inu beauty, weighing around 60-65lbs, with a striking silver black brindle with white coat, a lush curly tail, and captivating blue eyes that will melt your heart💓! This gorgeous girl is not only a vision of loveliness but also a sweet, affectionate, and loving companion who craves attention and adoration, spreading joy and love wherever she goes. What's truly remarkable about April is that she's potty trained, exhibits impeccable manners, and remains calm, serene, and composed, greeting you with a wagging tail and a gentle demeanor🥰. As a quiet and peaceful girl, she'd flourish in any loving family or be the perfect best friend for someone seeking a loyal companion for life's adventures. April walks beautifully on a leash but does get startled when fast and loud vehicles passing by. While she adores people, she never shows any separation anxiety if being alone. April is also great with other dogs with proper introduction, so she’s ready to join a pack or to be the perfect solo girl in the household. This enchanting girl is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and is eagerly waiting to meet her forever home🏡 . Don't miss this opportunity to welcome April into your life - she's sure to captivate your heart 💗! Currently being cared for in SoCal, April can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome her.

Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Akita - Jindo mix.  I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. ✅ Currently in South Korea 💜 Available to fly to SEA Meet Geondam! 🐻 💙 Name: Geondam 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 5 years old (Born in April 2020) 💙 Weight: 10 kg / 22.05 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1️⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Geondam was once on the first euthanasia list at the Gimje City Shelter. When rescuers first saw him, he was shivering in the corner of a cage, terrified of human touch. We couldn't give up on him, so he was rescued just in time to give him a second chance at life. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is very shy and takes a long time to open up to new people. Needs a patient family who can wait for him to feel safe. * With Dogs: Gets along very well with his friends at our center. * With Cats: Tends to chase them, so caution is required. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown because he currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Unknown, but he currently prefers outdoor potty breaks. * Walks: Showed great walking skills during his time at the training center. * Hygiene: Was very well-behaved during grooming and hygiene care at the training center. * Because he is fearful, he may try to nip if forced into something. A gentle approach is essential. * Absolutely loves treats! * Is still scared of human touch. Needs time to learn that hands are for love, not for fear.

Story
Animal Profile: Wiley is a 1.5-year-old male Labrador Retriever/Husky mix (best guess!) who came to us from Texas along with his siblings. They were rescued by Animal Control from an overcrowded property and placed into foster care with one of our rescue partners before making their way to us. Wiley has grown into a happy, sweet, and affectionate dog. He's thriving in his foster home, and does well with older, dog-savvy children. With his friendly personality and playful nature, Wiley is ready to find an active family to call his own. Foster Update:  Wiley is a smart, fluffy goofball with a big personality! He's both crate trained and house trained, knows all of his basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and has an energetic, playful spirit. After spending several weeks with a professional trainer, Wiley is e-collar trained and has continued to thrive, enjoying plenty of adventures with his foster mom. Wiley is looking for an active home where he can be the only dog. He'll do best with someone who has breed experience, a securely fenced yard, and an adventurous lifestyle to match his energy. While he's not the right fit for a home with toddlers, older dog-savvy children should do well with him. Wiley also has plenty to say, so a house is a better match than an apartment where his chatty nature could be an issue. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from  Animal Advocacy & Rescue our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Byrdie Express to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.August 10, 2026, 7:17 pm

Story
Animal Information: Max is an almost 7 month old Australian Shepherd mix puppy currently. Max was confiscated after being found with multiple broken ribs from a suspected animal abuse case. Even with this rough start, Max appears to be a pretty normal puppy. He is a bit scared of loud noises. We are so happy to be bringing Max to the Seattle area in search of his forever family. Foster Profile:  Max has been part of our family for the past four months, and he has been an absolute joy to foster. He's the kind of dog who settles in quickly, loves his people, and would make a wonderful addition to almost any home. We welcomed Max when he was about 3 months old, and he immediately became a full member of our two-dog household. He gets along wonderfully with our resident dogs and enjoys being part of the pack. Like any young pup, Max is curious and enjoys exploring, but he also has an easygoing personality that makes him a pleasure to have around. For such a young dog, Max has excellent house manners. He is fully potty trained and hasn't had a single accident in the house in over five months. He's comfortable in his crate and can happily relax for a few hours with a favorite bone while you're away. Max walks nicely on leash, has good recall, and naturally likes to stay close to his people. While he still has playful puppy moments, he's surprisingly calm and enjoys spending much of the day relaxing. A daily walk and some playtime seem to suit him just fine—he doesn't appear to be a dog who needs endless exercise to be happy. One of our favorite things about Max is his affectionate morning routine. He loves to wake us up with sweet puppy kisses, and while we enjoy our morning coffee, he'll happily curl up beside us, soaking up all the pets and snuggles he can get. It's the perfect way to start the day and a wonderful glimpse into what a loving companion he is. Max has that rare "off switch" everyone hopes for in a young dog, he enjoys his playtime but is just as happy to settle in and relax with his family. We think Max would thrive with a family or a single adopter looking for a loyal, easygoing companion. He would do well in a home with teenage children and would likely fit in with other friendly dogs, as he's done so well with ours. Max is truly a special pup with a wonderful balance of playful, affectionate, and relaxed. He's the kind of dog who will happily join you on a walk, then come home and spend the afternoon by your side. We can't wait for him to find the loving forever home he deserves. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from San Bernadino Animal Control, in partnership with ARF our rescue partner in San Bernadino, CA. He was transferred via START, arriving to foster care on 2/5/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 10, 2026, 7:17 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Sienna is an approximately 1 yr  old female Lab/Husky X  (guessing)  who joined us, along with her siblings, from Texas on 3/14/25. The puppies were taken from an overcrowded property by Animal Control and went into care with our rescue partner. Sienna is a happy, sweet pup, doing well in her foster home, she is friendly with dogs, and older  kids. Foster Update:  Sienna is a 1.5 year-old Lab/Husky mix with a gentle spirit and an independent streak. She can be shy at first and takes time to warm up to new people. Sienna is food-motivated (smart girl alert) and already has basic manners like sit, down, crate and potty training down pat. She walks beautifully on leash when she’s comfortable, sleeps soundly through the night in her crate with no accidents, and is always up for a game of fetch or a joyful toy romp in the yard.  Sienna absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry canine friend and a fenced yard. Once she feels safe, she is sweet, playful, and full of gentle affection. She is timid around men and will need time, consistency, and patience to build trust. She has been friendly with the children in her foster home, but due to her shy nature we are not considering homes with small children. Older teens may be considered. Sienna should not live with cats, as she has a strong prey drive and would be inclined to chase them.  Sienna is just waiting for the right family who will move at her pace and help her shine. Could that be you?    Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
