It makes me so sad to write this, but we are looking to re-home our sweet dog Lucy. We are moving and unfortunately are not able to bring her with us. We adopted Lucy during Covid, and she has been such a wonderful family dog ever since. She is incredibly loving, totally safe with kids, loves walks, being around people, scratches, and sneaking treats under the table at dinnertime. She doesn’t get on furniture and is perfectly content laying on a blanket at your feet just happy to be near her people. Lucy does have separation anxiety and has done some significant chewing in our home over the years. She has been on and off anxiety medication, though she generally seems calmer without it. She really loves being outdoors as much as possible, she is calmest and happiest there. Our dream would be to find her a home with a fenced yard — or even some land — where she can roam safely during the day, get lots of attention, and be surrounded by love. Thank you!

Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old male Akita - Jindo mix. I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home. I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly. I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever. Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten. I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs. I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection! On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup. My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle. Animal Information: Dior and her littermates were picked up by Fresno Humane at just one day old and have been growing up in the shelter. All her furry siblings have been adopted and she was left behind, so she will be joining the rescue! She was born April 12 and is just over nine weeks and 10 lbs -- probably shepherd husky mix with a splash of something smaller, and not likely to be a super large dog. She's spunky and ready to bring the fun to her foster home. We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Profile: Dior is that one-of-a-kind puppy waiting for that one-of-a-kind family or owner! She’s super playful and friendly. Anyone who meets her is overwhelmed with her cuteness. She enjoys going on walks, exploring, playing, sniffing things, and running! She loves her caretakers and stays close to them. She would be well suited for a family home with kids that would give her lots of active play and love. As she is still a puppy, older children are probably best. She would also benefit from a yard with lots of play space to keep up with her activeness. Dior does enjoy her crate if she has been outside or been played with. Animal Information: Maple and her brother Moose were surrendered to our rescue by a Good Samaritan. While visiting friends on reservation land, she noticed two very emaciated puppies wandering outside. Sadly, a third puppy from the same group had already passed away, likely due to malnutrition. The puppies did not have access to food or water. Seeing their condition, she made the decision to bring Maple and Moose home and began searching for a rescue in the Seattle area that could take them in. After meeting the puppies, we agreed to help and bring them into our care. Maple and Moose are estimated to be around 5 months old. Their parents are known on the property. Their mother is a Siberian Husky mix and their father is an Australian Shepherd. We will be looking for single family homes with securely fenced yard and a canine companion. We are not considering apartment for her at this time. They are now safe and receiving the care they need as they begin their journey toward healthy, happy lives. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Animal Information: Niley is a 1-year-old female Shepsky mix with striking eyes and a beautiful coat. She’s friendly with both people and other dogs, but found herself at risk for euthanasia due to her extended stay at the shelter and the kennel stress that came with it. That environment can be especially tough on dogs like Niley, so once we had a committed foster in place, we were able to step in and save her life. Foster Profile: Niley is a bit shy at first but very sweet and friendly! She’s a gentle dog who is interested in playing with other dogs, but nothing too rough and tumble. Niley is more human motivated than a typical Husky and comes and leans in for pats . She has the typical energy level of a young Husky, but is able to calm down better than expected and loves to snuggle with her people. Niley is crate and potty trained and walks well on leash. We think she will benefit from ongoing structure and consistent training, but she is overall an easy going girl. She would love a home with a fenced yard if possible; breed experience would be a plus! Medical Note: Shortly after her arrival to Seattle, Niley developed some difficulty walking and balance issues. She has improved significantly on oral medication with very few residual symptoms. However, we believe she may require ongoing medication and will benefit from adopters comfortable managing these issues.
