Hiro is an awesome dog who is currently in foster care where he has been able to work on basic obedience, house manners, and being socialized with the world. He walks very well on leash, is treat motivated, and is up for any adventure. He has done well with other dogs and would make a great additional dog to a home or he would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. He has a calm and mellow personality and is more than fine walking/sitting around observing the world with you. We are looking for an adopter with large breed experience and a standalone home with a yard for him. Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! For instance, I am a busy boy, I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old male Akita - Jindo mix. I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home. I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly. I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever. Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten. I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family. Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs. I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection! On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup. My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle. She has a typical Malamute personality, a very sweet girl but also likes to be independent and aloof when the mood strikes. She enjoys being with her human pack where she can be pet all over, get belly rubs and cuddles. MAGGIE likes to walk several times a day checking out the neighborhood. She is good in the car and will be happy to join you on all of your adventures! She has done well with older kids, though does like to put her paws up on people, which is why it is best that she is not with small children. MAGGIE prefers to be the queen of her home. Our foster has indicated she likes to play with other dogs but may be selective of her friends. Larger dogs with a calm personality. After a good play date, she enjoys going home to nap. If there are other dogs in her future home, it will need to be a slow introduction and reassurance that she gets attention when she wants it, just like a queen deserves. Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Home cannot have other male dogs, and/or smaller breeds. Jason is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. This stunning fluffy boy with ice-blue eyes enjoys training, toys, and pets, and is pretty affectionate (for a husky)! Koda gets along well with other dogs although he prefers less crazy jumpy dogs as he's a pretty chill dude himself. He is not a crazy energetic dog. While he has some atypical husky qualities, he still needs supervision outside or secure fencing as he is capable of escaping (and will do so if bored) and he can be vocal when crated, though he is conditioned to a bark collar. He has also lived with children and cats and gets along with them just fine, though smaller animals and chickens are a no-go.
