Story
Meet Mila Female DOB: November 15, 2023 Weight: 50 pounds Breed: Husky Mix Spayed (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Mila is a happy, loving girl with a heart full of joy—and she’s been waiting far too long for a home of her own. While other dogs have come and gone, Mila has stayed hopeful, greeting each day with the same friendly spirit and loving nature. She doesn’t understand why she’s still waiting—but she never stops being the sweet, happy dog she’s always been. Personality Mila is friendly, affectionate, and full of life. She loves being around people and has a warm, joyful energy that makes her easy to love. She enjoys attention, interaction, and being part of the moment. She has that beautiful balance of playful and loving—happy to be active, but just as happy being close to her people. Breed Info As a Husky mix, Mila carries traits of: Intelligence and awareness A social, engaging personality A love for activity and companionship Husky mixes are known for being friendly, expressive, and full of personality, thriving in homes where they can stay active and connected. Ideal Home Mila would do best in a home where she is included as part of the family and given the love she has been waiting for. She will thrive with someone who enjoys an interactive, affectionate dog. Owner Responsibilities Mila will need regular exercise, routine, and continued engagement. Like all dogs, she requires proper care, structure, and a lifelong commitment. Things to Consider Mila has been waiting longer than most. Please consider giving a chance to a dog who has so much love left to give. Sometimes the ones who wait the longest are the ones who love the hardest. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience and love, Mila will finally get the life she deserves. Veterinary Care Mila is fully vetted, but we always recommend bringing her to your own veterinarian after adoption to continue her care. Important Note Mila is an indoor family dog. She is not to be chained or left outside. Nanuq

Alaskan Malamute Siberian Husky

Female, 5 yrs
Torrance, CA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Nanuq is a 4-year old Alaskan Malamute & Siberian Husky. Nanuq and her sister, Pepper, have started fighting with each other and need to be rehomed separately to prevent serious injury. They are both great with people but not with any other animals as they both have a strong prey drive. They are very smart and independent, and will thrive with daily activity like long walks, runs, or hikes. And Nanuq also likes to play fetch. They bark only when they want to communicate their needs. Nanuq ‘talks’. They enjoy human company and sleep through the night. They are spayed, microchipped and vaccines are current. We hope to find new homes for them where they can be ‘free’ to be themselves again without living with the anxiety and tension that something could trigger them to fight with each other. They are currently kept separated by taking turns being in their crates. Please contact Karen Hurst at 4lionkings@gmail.com

Story
4/15/26-The Basics • Breed: Alaskan Malamute • Age: 7 Years Old (Born October 31, 2018) • Sex: Female (Spayed) • Color: Striking Gray and Cream Chena’s Story Chena is a very special girl with a heartbreaking story. She has been with one owner since she was just 6 weeks old, receiving constant love and stability her entire life. Sadly, her owner recently passed away. While her family loves her deeply, his widow is now in a position where she is unable to provide the physical care and management a dog of Chena's size and breed requires. Because she has been a cherished family member for seven years, Chena is well-mannered, house-trained, and understands the comforts of a loving home. She is looking for a new family who can honor the loyalty she has shown her original owner for so long. Personality & Temperament Chena is the definition of a "gentle giant." She has a remarkably easy-going and quiet personality. She isn’t one to bark at every passing shadow; instead, she prefers to observe the world with a calm, dignified presence. She is a social soul who truly enjoys the company of others: • With Kids: Gentle and patient, making her a wonderful family companion. • With Dogs: Friendly and well-mannered with her canine cousins. • With Cats: Her history with cats is currently unknown, so a slow and careful introduction would be best. Health & Status Chena is officially spayed (sterilized in February 2020) and is current on her reproductive health records. To keep her stunning gray and cream double coat looking its best, she will appreciate regular brushing sessions—a great way to bond with her while she adjusts to a new environment. Ideal Home • A Relaxed Environment: She would thrive in a household that matches her calm, quiet demeanor. • Malamute Enthusiasts: Someone who appreciates the loyalty of the breed but enjoys her more "low-key" approach to life. • A Stable Heart: Chena has known only one home her entire life. She needs a patient owner who understands she may need a little time to grieve and adjust to her new surroundings. Adoption Details Chena is ready to find a family that values a quiet, loyal, and steady companion. If you’re looking for a beautiful girl who is as easy-going as she is striking, Chena is waiting to meet you.

Story
#A5779014 Arctic is a majestic giant puffball! At about 118 pounds he looks like a polar bear especially with all that fluffy fur and big brown eyes! Estimated to be just 3 years, he has some fly strikes on his ears that suggest he spent too much time alone outside. A volunteer favorite, Arctic is a spectacular dog looking for someone to care for him and make him part of the family. -Gentle giant! -3 years old, 118lbs, all white Alaskan Malamute mix -Comes when called and knows sit and may know more commands -Good on leash, and easy to handle especially for his size -Tolerant with dogs, he seems to prefer the calm ones or hanging out with people -Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on May 26 as a stray with dirty fur -Will need regular grooming/brushing to keep his long thick coat looking its best -Neutered male, ready to go home! Story
Meet Marshmellow! This sweet Siberian Husky is as soft and lovable as his name! Marshmellow is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly—he’s crate trained, housebroken, and a dream on the leash. He’s great with all dogs and adores kids, making him the perfect family pup. Marshmellow is smart, affectionate, and always ready for snuggles. And here’s a fun fact—he loves watching TV and insists on holding the remote (though he hasn’t figured out how to change the channel… yet!). If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly TV-obsessed best friend, Marshmellow is your guy! if you're ready for a fun meet and greet, please fill out an adoption application!
